I enjoyed both movies really. I think part of the fun is combining humans & vampyres & mixing it up a bit. I think Tom Cruise is still convinced that Stewart Townsend isn't a Vampyre. As major the names of Tom C, Brad P & Antonio B....you just can't compete with Akasha! I would really enjoy having the real Lestat a Frenchman appear on the screen. Cruise I Pitt did a did a cute job, Antonio well cast. I think Christian Slater...I think it was darn good. Stuart Townsend & that crowd was just more convincing. Akasha is the Vampyr Egyptian IT GIRL. I enjoyed both but in the Cruise flick if someone didn't walk up a wall I may not have felt it more than a portrayal of Vampyrs.

Stuart Townsend: Great actor and he made a good job playing Lestats younger side
Tom Cruise: Also good but he playes a different side of Lestat he is more sadistic and evil but he still played his role good

Twilight: Crap with vampires without teeth and hunger for blood.
Queen of the Damned: Great movie with cruel vampires, with great ideas and an awasome soundtrack.

I agree, stuart is hot, but, if you read the first page of the vampire lestat, you will find that stuart doesn't fit the description at all. Stuart would have mad a good Nicki though

Yes Stuart is very hot...BUT he did not make a good Lestat. First of all he was not insane at all...and lestat is just not Lestat without beign cruel and frightening. Also Lestat is supose to be blond...which Stuart is not.

First off, ENOUGH with the blonde shit. It's getting old. Second, I blame the people that made up the script of the movie. It SUCKED. They are the ones that butchered the movie, so it's not Stuart's fault. Third, the character Lestat is NOT always cruel and frightning. He's also arrogant, sensual, seductive, and sensitive which is how Stuart played him. You don't think Stuart can be cruel and insane? Watch him in Resurrection Man, the whole movie is on Youtube. I think you'll change your mind.

And Stuart played the role of Lestat great. Even if the movie itself didn't 'fit the mold'.. Stuart played heavier on Lestat's young and sexual side of things, his arrogance in the making. Lestat's cruelty and insanity can manifest itself in many forms. Who else but an insane man would try to pick a fight with every vamp in the world? - just with a sensual Lestat spin to it :P
Cruelty doesn't always have to be through anger.

Excuse me but Lestat is not Queen of the Damned, very cute and funny but he may be Nobility & likely can sire both Vampires & offspring. I would say he may not enjoy the homo label.....I am pretty sure he wasn't at brokeback mountain trying to score an effeminante adams apple, hairy hard leg with pointy teeth. Its just not really his booty call but Spike would probably like to get a laugh at posting something like this. Although, it was Dracula that told me what brokeback was about.

Lestat is a Way better vampire than Edward.. Dont get me wrong Edward is cool and sweet and hes gorgeous ( i mean rob pattinson of course ) But i think Lestat ( Stuart Townsend ) is a Way better vampire.. hes Handsom, Badass , and i personally think a vampire that sings, has Fangs , and wear skin tight clothes is better then one thats quiet, has no fangs.. and sparkles ... ( though i like the sparkles also lol )

yeah he was. the queeen of the damned movi is about his life i.e. how he became a vampire and then him forming a band in this centuary,etc, where as interview with a vampire is more about louis' life- the vampire that lestat made ;p
