ok we get the point bro,,,,,,you dont care about your truck ,,,,you should buy a boat if you want to play in the water,,,trucks were made for dirt chief,,next you will want to fly a boat.call it a day and smash some suds down you neck,,,wake up with a hang over and toss another shrimp on the barbee,P.S. stay the fuck out of the drink with the rc chief ,,,shes bad news.
Or... I got everything siliconed, greased and waterproofed. Dumbass. Runs like a champ and still does. Thanks for coming out. You keep your Radio Shack rc's on dry land.
Good stuff dude! Don't listen to all these jerks who leave doubtful comments, for anyone with ANY sense it's pretty clear to see that it is indeed hydroplaning, and the water is several inches deep. Seriously, most youtube commenters are 12 year-olds with no clue :) (just delete their comments)
Dude, where in the description did it say anything about it being a lake? Hydroplaning is hydroplaning. 2" of water or 200' deep. Doesn't matter. It's still hydroplaning. Jeez.
I just gotta chime in again. Some people are so fucking stupid it's beyond me. It IS hyrdoplaning. Plane and simple. It hydroplanes over the surface of the water at speed. If going too slow, it's really bogs and is sunken in. It's there in the video. If you're too fucking stupid, please, I recommend suicide by a hammer to the face. Cheers.
It IS hydroplaning. As you can see, he didn't always make it across the puddle, and the truck sunk. It's deep enough to cover half the truck. I don't think the guy wants to risk sinking a $500 R/C truck to impress you.

OK so you call 2-3 inches of water hydroplaning?? $50,000 trucks are take risks over 34ft. deep of water/Lake. Make something that 6 inches deep, longer and wider, not so hard. Take the risk I did and it was fun. It was 2ft. deep 7ft. wide 15ft. long. Ya it sunk 7 times out 34 times going over and I didn't have to buy any parts after, just some cleaning. And my truck is the old TRAXXAS SPORT-MAX 2.5R, not as fast or powerfull as yours. And parts are hard to find which sucks.
Again, it IS hydroplaning. Whether it's doing it over 5" of water or 5 feet. The truck is clearly skimming across the surface of the water and the speed of the truck and rpm's of the wheels/tires is repelling water at a rate enough to keep it from sinking. If it wasn't hydroplaning, then you'd see that it was below the water surface AND it would pretty much part the water around the truck.
IS IT WATERPROOF ?????????????
1b1enjamin 1 year ago
@1b1enjamin Yes all the electrical was waterproofed. I used grease and silicone to waterproof it.
This TNX has long been retired and is now hanging up in my garage. I prefer the Baja and my airplanes and helis now. :)
