  • The sex pistols wrote the song but idk know if they sung it but c'mon. Can't. We all get along and enjoy the music?

  • Yeah... I liked Lita(not as a person, knowing what a bitch she was) before she started her own thing and well... opened her mouth.

  • Guns Did the best version of this song

  • was this originally by the sex pistols after rotten and viscious hasd died and left ?

  • @SKUM76 yup

  • the singer souds like shes taking a big shit

  • No I was quite clear with my statement lita fords a stupid prick, she's a joan jett cherie currie wanna be n she ll be nothing more than that .

  • is this the original version?

  • @Teimaninja Nope, I think it's by Sex Pistols.

  • @offwithurhead But looks like the people that are arguing say something about The professionals.

  • Lita Fords a piece of shit ..nuff said.

  • @gypsyNmonsta huh? u obiviously meaned The Shit. :P

  • what album is this??

  • @loveplayinwithfire0, it's the last Runaways album "And Now The Runways".

  • @loveplayinwithfire0, it's the last Runaways album "And Now The Runaways".

  • I like Guns N´ Roses version way better, but I´d prefer to get laid with Joan and Lita at the same time (in her Runaways versions)

  • It's Black Leather by the Professionals, Steve Jones and Paul Cook (of Sex Pistols's fame) 's group. Guns N Roses covered it too on their Spaghetti Incident album. Great tune.

  • fucking terrible

  • John Jett and Lita Ford are Lesbian lovers and their breath always smells like stink fish. I known I have spoken to Joan and I had to turn my head.

  • This is a Sex Pistols song, done by Steve Jones & Paul Cook (Sid Vicious too?) after Johnny Rotten left, in 1978. It came out on the Six Pack singles thingie. Guns'n'Roses covered it too.

I didn't know Joan Jett had done it as well. Thanks for posting this. I love Joan Jett, so put another dime in the juke-box, baby. Or alternatively - upload another video on YouTube, baby : )

  • @kidcalabria NOT a Sex Pistols song. It's a PROFESSIONALS song, the band that Steve Jones and Paul Cook started after the Pistols. Sid didn't play with them, he was dead.

  • @Akira3441

I bought it in 1978 (or 79?). I still have it. It says Sex Pistols on the cover, it was a sort of box set with 6 singles. Sid Vicious didn't play on most of Never Mind The Bollocks either, he was in hospital with hepatitis, Steve Jones did the bass parts.. so it's not the Sex Pistols then? There are Rolling Stones songs sung by Keith Richards, without Jagger. Sometimes without Bill Wyman, with Richards on bass... so, by your reckoning, it's not the Stones? How old are you exactly?

  • @kidcalabria Yeah that's true, it's because Virgin was scraping the bottom of the barrell. I have the Professionals album, "I didn't see it coming" and the song's on it. And it was recorded by the Professionals line-up. It's also included in the "Spaghetti Incident" by G N' R as a Professionals cover and the Professionals always played it live, you do the math.

  • @kidcalabria Andy Allen plays bass on it btw. Quote: "Black Leather, by the Professionals, the band that Steve Jones and Paul cook set up after the Pistols broke up. Nice song. It was later covered by Joan Jett’s Runaways and Guns and Roses, but this version is better. There is a lot of controversy about this song. A lot of people say it was a Sex Pistols song because it was released on Sex Pack in 1980. However, Sex Pack did include non Sex Pistols songs, and this was one of them."

  • @Akira3441

I had a record of this song with Sex Pistols written on the cover, you "do the math", if there's any math to be done, lol! I'm not sure whose quote is the one you mention, or how relevant it is. That it was done by Guns 'n' Roses I said it myself. Anyway, it's not that important, not to me at least. Thanks for posting it, take care

  • @kidcalabria Yes but that record also included NON Sex Pistols songs recorded by Sex Pistols members, such as "Black Leather" by the Professionals, aka Jones and Cook's new band. I hope it's clear now.

  • @Akira3441

Crystal clear. It's been all along, maybe we just got our wires crossed

  • @kidcalabria Yeah, np mate, that happens on youtube.

  • Joan Jett in THAT footbal shirt. OH MY GOD.

  • Joan is just plain gorgeous, but they both rock with guitars.

  • Its black leateh written by sex pistols are u defh or what

  • a great track joan jett and lita ford fantastics and fantastics photos may be can change some ones photos

  • Sometimes she's soo sexy, sometimes she's sooo ugly

  • Long live Joan Jett

  • i prefer Guns N' Roses version :))

  • Great song! Lot's better than the original!

  • wow!!! this is fucking amazing!!

  • They were a great combo, one of the best, I think, before the tensions split them. Lita was never going to be satisfied being in Joan's shadow.

  • The Runaways have a couple of good songs but nothing epic or classic. I like Joan and Litas solo work much better.

For Joan -Glorious Results of a Misspent youth and Lita- Dangerous Curves

  • In my opinion Joan Jett could whoop all of y'all s arguing asses. So there, now you are even.

  • This is so cool!!

  • Yes, the titile of the song is Black Leather. Joan Jett even played this song live when she first went solo, but she initially did it with the Runaways. Years later The Blackhearts did a rap-like song called Black Leather (different lyrics and songwriters).

  • That's what i meant. Thanks :)

  • @gretzz007 This is Black Leather, originally performed by the Professionals (post Sex Pistols) and the old Guns 'n Roses also made a cover on "The Spaghetti Incident?"

  • If Joan were here and she saw you girls arguing like this.......she would pull down your leather and spank your ass' and your pussy's too!.....AND YOU'D ALL LIKE IT ENOUGH TO SQUIRT IN HER LAP WOULDN'T YAH?....HUH?....I thought so!

  • dude congrats! this is awesome. yeah they look so beatiful together. i have this version as my calltone thnx 4 share it

  • I LOVE YOU JOAN!!!!!!!!!

  • It's a band from the 1970's with Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Cherie Currie, Sandy West, Jackie Fox, and Vicki Blue. It was pretty much the first all girl punk band.

  • IS A BAND!!!

    THE RUNAWAYS IS A BAND!!!!

  • oh shut up!!!

    you are a IGNORANT!!!!

you don't know anything about music..

im only 16 years old and i know more than you.. but i don't know how old are you , but i don't care .. sooo i think you should know about music 's culture and then replay this msj ;)

    bye

  • Yeah, I'm 13, and don't particuarly give a shit about your bad excuses for insults. I still like the Runaways, they are cool, and Black Leather is an awesome song. I'm entitled to my own opinion, so are you, but yours wasn't particuarly nessary. Anyway, sorry to the people I've upset. xoxo.

Oh, and Katyjolie, you, you are an idiot.

And how the hell would you know if I don't know about music? You've never met me. So stop acting like a kid throwing a tantrum, drama queen.

  • haha!! What- ev

  • Oh my gooood, I love Joan in a way that grows day by dayyyyyyyy! She is the rock and roll. The Runaways rocks, men
