  • The pixles are having a party

  • I don't know exact voltage of Mac's CRT but displays like this normally work with about 25000 volts(just like TVs). I don't get it what this guy is trying to do.

  • My mac looks just like that! :)

  • wow no dangerous x-ray emissions here!

  • he zaps it and the BONG it comes to life!

  • dude i think i saw an arc inside the tube

  • no proper mad scientist should wear sandals. probably keeps a dream diary! hippie

  • @charbala

Dude, He's Slightly MAD! His Brain is partly fukcd, He thinks those sandals are Corcoran boots.

  • @charbala My dreams are of giant robots, death rays, and hordes of mindless minions.

  • @TaoOfPooh26 consider the sandals excused

  • Aww, no smoke.. boring :p

Just alot of sparks.. Oh well ^_^

  • disapointing....

  • Dang! You finished that thing!

  • It looked like two hands on the inside of the screen! Creepy.

  • Indeed. I found that very striking.

  • is it like possible to get 30k volts that might work or explode one of the two lololol

    just dont die

  • ahahahaha

  • it was cool seeing the guns light up, lol

  • It work after all that??

  • Nope. Was even less likely to work after it was set on fire. :)

  • This is what I do when a Mac crashes. DEATH RAY'D, BITCH!

  • Nice! Mostly because it was a Mac. Of course it damaged the hardware, however as many CRT tubes require several kV to operate the tube it's self might've worked, provided you only charged the 'spider' where the charge enters the front of the screen, and not the neck as that would've probably mangled the guns and heater. Lol.

  • wow! I thought it would blow up.. I have a moniter like that cause i'm saving up for a new one... i guess you couldn't use the moniter again tho?

  • Nope, it was pretty much fried. And it was set on fire in another of my videos (and then donated to an organization that breaks down old electronics for scrap).

  • sweet pray for the death ray to take care of those trolls and like u said shock therapy

  • yay giant evil deathray ftw

  • yay giant evil deathray ftw

  • i knew it was going to do that, because you were creating electrons to hit the phosphorus-coated tube!!! COOL!!!

  • Mad!

  • just slightly XD

  • A CRT doing what it does best! :D Instead of the moniter regulating the electricity to display a picture, YOU were! XD

  • omg i never thought a monitor could survive that... today i learnt somthing new! ty!

  • CRT monitors take the normal household voltage and raise it to about 20,000 volts using a transformer so it already has high voltage

  • Wow fatty, just think, you could have done something "useful" with the old Mac parts, instead, you cooked them...

    ~Very American

  • Both computers had already had all useful parts removed, and afterwards were recycled for scrap. More productive than being a YouTube Troll, isn't it?

Wow, dummy. Just think. You could have used your brain instead of made a uninformed and unintelligent comment. Instead, you made it anyway.

    ~Even more American.

  • If i had a mac monitor and transformer i would do the same thing. And i'm from Europe...

  • ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! :D

  • This has nothing to do with being American or European or anything else anyway. It's all in the name of science. A lot of important discoveries are made by mistake or from random experiments. So, keep up the science :)

  • Well, that doesn't exactly change the fact he is fat. :3 sorry man its the facts.

~Very American again! P.S. I'm not a youtube troll. So Ha!

  • It doesn't change the fact that you're someone who apparently spends too much time playing with his stick*, either.

I'd say that's very Belgian, but this has little to do with waffles or the Smurfs. Both are items of intense national pride, I'm sure.

    *Stick-figures, that is.

  • oh fuck you. im american, and if you have any idea what my life was like, you would be dead, right now.

  • Silly little emo troll.

Please refer to watch?v=6CjjC7B6v8Y for the appropriate response for whiny emo-kid drama.

  • lol

  • wow, where was the giant beam of death blowing the camera man into a bazillion pieces, lol good job!

  • it shows the path, no wait its a message i think its screaming "KILL ME! WHY DID I HAVE TO BE A MAC! WHY?"

  • More current!!!

  • prolly soft x-rays...

  • WOW!!!DUDE U R COOL*****thnx 4 these vids m8

  • Just thought that the lights in your street must have been flickering while you tried to produce a death ray.

  • Does it still work?

  • I used that same monitor afterwards for my "Will it Burn" video. Watch that, and let me know if you think it should still work.

  • actually i think tesla used a process like that where the electricity is focused on a point untill it evaporates off the end into a stream, thus a death ray. without him we wouldnt have alot of the stuff we have, or atleast not so fast and at the same time.

  • you, my good man, are officially crazed!

  • Everyone needs a hobby, right? You think that's crazy, keep watching the other vids!

  • "Sir, the death ray is complete!" "Excellent!"

  • u look to mutch to simpsons =p

  • lol, cool vid, try it again and see if it explodes

  • Can't...that's the monitor I set on fire in the Will It Burn video. The charred remains were then recycled. :/

  • cool, but one request...can you try it on a LCD display so we can see wat the outcome would be

  • If I can get one cheap, I'd give it a go. Don't think anyone's gonna part with a working LCD display for cheap though.

  • true, but these days you can get them for next to nothing

  • coooooooooooooooooooooool

  • Dangerous, but interesting... I have noticed that some of X-ray lights being reflected by Mac's internal metal cage (I could tell by looking at the screen as it's being bombarded by .9kW high voltage pulses - I can tell that it's serious, over-the-limit X-ray emission - it already has passed through the leaded glass wall behind the screen - then reflected back to the screen) - still, again - it's interested. I can tell that you already have taken the risk, TaoOfPooh26.

  • Wow, would anyone be dumb enough to plug it back up and turn it on?. What'd even happen?

  • I'm betting that Mac has booted for its last time. That's one good way to get the "sad mac" icon. Too bad about the death ray though--that would have been cool.

  • That can't be good for the monitour.

  • where did you get 15,000 volts

  • From a neon transformer. Changes 120v to 15,000v. Uses 900 watts of electricity, so the output is 60ma as well. I've used it in a number of videos.

  • am i the only one that see's a pair of hands on the monitor?

    >.<

    kinda scary...lol

  • FINALLY! Someone saw it, too! :) Honestly, I didn't notice them until after I'd edited the video and posted it. It's like the monitor is begging for mercy! BWAHAHAHA! (ahem) sorry.

  • It's the Mac's soul going, "OH MY GOD!!!"

  • me and the camera started smashing our faces on the ground stop that

  • DEATH RAY DEATH RAY ...

    aww ... death ray?

  • Awesome

  • SWEEET! I was hoping for the death ray though.

  • FIRST COMMENT

  • lol ... your not the first ... silly ...

  • pretty cool
