  • pennaeth fel oren ffycin

  • chill the fuck out, this is COMEDY, they are not serious. :)

  • That look @0:16 is Tim and Eric.

  • Im welsh, i agree

  • Each to their own language! Welsh, Irish, Scottish no-one cares how you speak! Your actions define you, not your words.

  • I think Ricky was just playing along for effect to see how Karl would react. Ricky doesn't care.

  • @DisturbedAidan2 ye but there are people juat like shakespere in every language but he's is only more widely know because of how common the english language around the world. and so ya know welsh isnt a celtic language and the celts roamed britain long before the what we have now.

and not all of us irish are alike because most of us dont even speak the irish language unlike myself.

  • @padraigdublin95 ...no one of any country are all alike.

  • He's fucking right if what he said is the case

  • "It's just down the road"

  • shallow cheap comedy based on ignorance :)

  • @mumphltd

    Nope, that's just Karl.

  • Rwy'n ddig am hynny yn awr !!!

  • I'm Welsh and I get why we still speak Welsh still...It's a dying language and people are discriminated for not speaking (when applying for a job or whatever) in their own country...

  • cymru am byth, fwcio fod yn saesneg,<<<<<< yes its welsh

  • I'm Welsh and I know very few people who speak Welsh, I don't speak Welsh, three people in my family speak Welsh, none of my friends speak it. Not many people speak it in South Wales.

  • i dont think karl realises that hes goin too far with this

  • @VioletValentine100 Your comment is stupid what im tryin to say is that a lot of words im english have evolved from words in languages like welsh or scottish or irish because those languages are way older than english. i know this cuz im fluent in irish and i can see this a lot.

  • Where are all these interviews from?

  • For many people from Wales (like me), Welsh is their first language. So if you don't speak it or come from Wales, you will never understand what it means to us.

  • @switchfusion

What part of Wales are you from, I'm from Cardiff and I learned a bit of Welsh in school, I could string a simple sentence together but that's it.

  • @brainsbeer5 North, near Bangor

  • @switchfusion

Ah, that explains it then. I know very few people who speak Welsh in the South, it's a shame.

  • @brainsbeer5

Trust me, it's worse in the north, a lot worse. o.O

  • @goldlogs No it's not, you must live in a part of the Country where English is the most common language, whereas in places in Conwy like Llanrwst, the neighbouring villages, Penllyn, Rhuthun, Caernarfon, much of Bangor and the rest of Gwynedd the Welsh language is frequently spoken, both at home and in public. I know this oherwydd 'dwi'n Gymro

  • @ChefRoj

Mae e yn, credwch i mi, dwi'n son am y gogledd, ddim yr gogledd orllewin.

Either way, Bangor is the least Welsh speaking city I've visited, it's because of the University there, the requirements to get accepted in comparison to other Universities are much lower, so that's where a lot of non - Welsh speaking students there.

  • These english bitches been licking the queens arsehole so much they talk shit all the time, all english people are the same, kill em all i say! ha ha ha ha

  • That bold bitch boy needs a bullet in the head, most english are paranoid when people speak their own language around them, i know this by experience, the english are arrogant bitches

  • @funguysmall He's a comedian - he's only joking.

  • hahahahhahaa he has a great point though to be fair

  • @blowo100 Has he fuck, he's just a typical arrogant english bastard

  • 3 people are Welsh

  • HAhaHAhaHAA i love him hesgreat so funny, this should be called The Karl Pilkington Show

  • Anyway what was me point?

  • haha ace!

  • karl should realise that welsh is way older than english!! :D

  • @padraigdublin95 Only one word in the english dictionary is welsh though.. what does that say?

  • @padraigdublin95 Hence being outdated!! :D

  • @DisturbedAidan2 how the fuck is it outdated if people still speak. it's part of the welsh culture, you english are fucking ignorant if that's what you think about your own language because your language tells tells us nothing about your culture because it's so modern!!

  • @padraigdublin95 That's not very nice is it? Actually there's so much culture in the english langauge - Shakespeare for instance. I said outdated as in not modern. English has come about from several languages and cultures, such as: the briton, romans, germanic peoples and scandinavians. Whereas Welsh is more like just a briton language.

What is more "you english", first of all I never said I as english and secondly you're overgeneralising. Should I say you irish are all alike?

  • @padraigdublin95 but no one speaks it... coz its pointless lol

  • @louistheonion23 fuck you dwin siarad cymraeg paid a bod pen pydin mor fawr

  • @louistheonion23 how is it pointless its a proper language just like english and there's more culture attatched to a language like it because they still speak it even after all these years of oppression from the english!!

  • @padraigdublin95 What's that got to do with anything he's talking about?

  • @padraigdublin95 it doesn't make it better? lol

  • karl talks quite silently so i put up the volume, then ricky starts laughng and i have to mute it ! some one shuld just lower the volume of ricky's laugh in every ricky, steve, karl video!

  • Comment removed

  • lol i found his views on it funny although not agreeing with them :P as i am first language welsh.

  • Im in the process of learning the welsh language, its comments like this that now make me dig my heels in a little bit more, ry'n ni yma o hyd x

But it is Karl of course and you cant stay cross with him for long.

  • they thort he had a great point thenXD

  • Ricky Gervais looks nervous. Maybe he think Karl crossed a line, or??

  • @Soschwoons Ricky worried about crossing lines??

  • so true

  • he's right

  • @JHornevideo Nonsense! Welsh is the first language for a lot of people, especially in North Wales (where I suspect Pilkington is referring to). Ricky is obviously well aware of how highly the Welsh value their language - and how much they have fought to keep it - as his look to camera shows. Pilkington is narrow minded and more often than not, hilarious, but he's definitely wrong here. He means no harm by it, of course.
