@slugmax NO!Trust me,I've been playing guitar for 3 years now and keys for 7.The first year is HELL.Just HELL.Never assume playing music is simple.Making music is even harder.Have you even fucking tried playing guitar?It's not as easy as guitar hero.But it is awesome once you get the hang of it.

@sovarelteo47 oh, i've actually been taking piano lessons for the past four years. been in the school band about the same length of time. it's been a good time.  I've been doing the "i'm trying to teach myself guitar because i'm a smug fifteen year old kid that think's he's hot shit because he's one of the few band kids that plays more than one instrument" thing.

@sovarelteo47 I guess it's just been for me that nothing about music is too hard, piano is just putting keys to the sheet music, Trombone has been just putting slide positions and partials to written music, and guitar has just been putting strings and frets to written music. I guess the goal of the whole thing was just me thinking that it was a waste of an instrument i have the utmost respect for. I wasn't trying to make lite of the process of learning music. sorry for being unclear

@sovarelteo47 whoa, that's not what i was trying to say, i meant to say by all of that, is that in my experience, music isn't difficult, it makes sense, you just gotta take the time to learn your shit, which is what takes a while, I more meant to politely say that it is kinda a waste of such a wonderful instrument. sorry for wasting so much of your time with my comments, but I hope that this clears up your argument

Its not about how expensive, or how awesome looking the guitar is, or even how good it feels, its about playing guitar for yourself, and loving it for its musical purposes, not for other people.
