  • I just dealt with this same issue recently .. IVG ALL THE WAY IN specifically. Turning the IVG in is not the same as moving to a stiffer hammer spring is the thing to note. My friend could not get his velocity up, changing valves made no difference, going to a different hammer spring instead of turning in the IVG did get the velocity up (without blowing off).

  • My advice is save your $50 don't buy this valve. The stock valve can be be modified by simply drilling the valve air inlet hole bigger. I gave it a try figuring if it didn't work I was going to chuck it any way if I ordered the LP valve. The modifed valve coupled with a spyder spring kit and cocker spring kit worked perfect.

  • Also did you need a valve tool

  • Can you use any valve kit for a trilogy or does it have to be a trilogy valve kit

  • If I ran a Trilogy with the stock gas-thru what spring would I want to pop in to lighten the pump stroke, since you said the stroke with the stock spring was terrible.

  • @Slider993 Well, I'd imagine without a regulator and with the stock valve you wouldn't really be able to change the springs and achieve correct velocity. The OEM Sport valve is very very small and restrictive and it needs very hard springs to achieve the proper velocity.

The best answer though, is to get some springs and try different configs. A Spyder spring kit will work for the valve spring, as I showed in the video and regular Autococker hammer springs will work for the hammer spring.

  • sweet spot???

  • Are you asking me? It was sweet spotted with both of the soft springs that came with the valve originally, but the farting was so obnoxious at the field that I changed them out there and re-sweet spotted with the heavy valve spring. For this video, I decided to put the soft valve spring in again, as I like the pump stroke much better in this config because I only have to have the IVG in a very few threads, rather than a tad more than halfway.
