I like how you only pour water into the upper receiver and front end, while leaving the stock(and BATTERY) completely dry AND elevated from the puddle. I want to see a full submersion of the every piece.

@boredgunner That is exactly my point. herp derp. What is an essential part of an AEG? Thats right, the battery. If the gun can't protect the battery, then the overall gun test in water has failed. The gearbox might be perfectly fine inside the receivers, but they need to figure out a way to protect the battery. Full protection of all internal working parts needs to be a priority for the manufacturer. One final note, this was not a full submersion anyways. Try dropping that in a pool

@sirchief1 The AEG in this video, as well as most AEGs do not even come with a battery. The battery in the video is also connected via external battery pouch, which is not even the default method. Manufacturers also don't tend to take into account protecting the battery or gearbox from water, but if you want to see full submersion look at their SCAR video.

They probably do, The Army National Guard trains with airsoft guns also, I helped train with them before I enlisted into the National Guard. Our state New York has a set of 6 Classic army M4's and 2 Classic Army M249's that circulate between Armory buildings within the state so each unit can train.

well private, did you use simuntions while in basic. we stopped using blanks and switched to simuntions. besides those airsoft guns are only accurate to about 30-50 yrds depending on the upgrades. simuntions are accurate to about 200yrds. and for cqb we use live ammo shooting at carboard targets. i agree that for recreation airsoft is perfect, but for FX its not.

Haha....I don't know about you, but I own this gun, and there are some SERIOUS issues with it. Namely the fact the internals suck nut, and on top of that, the gearbox is so tight that it'll short the circuit and autofire while on safe as soon as you plug in the battery. Now...that's a serious problem. Plus they use a bus fuse, not the normal cylinder fuses.

Big deal, I own the HK416 and I can tell you that all my Marui's can undergo the same treatment and still fire. What really matters is how you maintain the gun afterward to prevent rust.

Also, if you submerge the gun completely in water, all the silicone oil will be washed away in the water.
