  • Hi mate!I’ve been played guitar for 30 years and winner of range of music festivals but still consider myself as non-musician, learning more. When I see tutorial, I click on it and force myself expecting useful stuff. Take my advice-show audience first how you able to play.People, if they are interesting will follow you- you may talk as much as you can. In your case you enjoying in front of camera playing rubbish. Efficiency is next to zero. Hope you’ll take this in consideration. No offence.

  • @pumwie

You say that mine is a shitty job? Ok, it's your opinion and I accept it.

You say you're playing for thirty years? Ok, I'll subscribe your channel and I'll be in fervent expectation of some of your videos where I can learn something.

I hope you'll don't delete my subscription on your channel.

I can only say that in my videos, I'll put my face. In this moment, you're putting only empty words. To have the right to criticize, you have to post your videos.

    Regards, Roberto.

  • Too much bla bla bla

  • @pumwie

No one forced you to listen.

This is another confirmation that the criticisms are always from non-musicians.

By the way.....thanks for watching and commenting and sorry if I bored you.

  • this si a cover, not tutorial as you said

  • @hike21

Thank you very much for the information.

  • Hi roby! Great cover.

  • @bluesrock1000

    Thank you so much

I'm very glad if you like

  • A very nice job loved your playing

  • @stanleyg64

    Thank you so much

I'm very glad if you like.

  • Hey, you're doing it well my friend!!

    love peter green as well

where did you get the backing track? i've been looking for it everywhere!!

    cheers, and keep on playing!

  • LOVE IT! Great job, especially when you used the single pickup. Would like to hear this song while you play live with your band. Keep up the good work!

  • Thank you very much.

I'm very happy if you like this video.

When I'm with my band, I play principally the rock classic of the sixties and the seventies.

  • My friend that was some really great playing. Peter Green is my favorite guitarist and vocalist. Your english is great to this American and the smile on your face shows you like playing that song. I watched this video a few months months ago. I quit playing and sold my 1960's Les Pauls 30 years ago. I wish I hadn't when I saw how much they cost now lol. I just bought an Epiphone Les Paul (best sound for the money anywhere) and a Vox amp and love playing again. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • I'm very honored to have received your comment.

I like playing this song and all other blues-rock tunes of the sixties and seventies.

Everyone of us has sold a good guitar in the past.

    Over fifties years I sold a '66 Stratocaster :-(

Thank you for watching and commenting.

  • You're awesome dude! =)

  • Thank you very much.

    Very glad if you like

  • That was oh so good!!!

  • thanks!

    very glad if you like!

  • How is your singing, robY?

I think that half of expression is the voice, not of the guitar but of the human body...

  • I sing in my band, but i think I'm only a honest guitar player.

    Thanks for commenting.

  • @roby62gtr it takes a certain strength to put yourself out on the line like that: your playing is wonderful..your camera persona comes off as honest, refreshing, though I think you have too much reverb on it ..thanks

  • As I said, I noted that Peter Green in his first recordings, played with a lot of reverb.

I tried to play in his manner.

Abitually, I play with reverb at 4/12, not more.

Thanks a lot for your interest on this video.

  • P.S

You look like you are enjoying what you are playing , I wish I could play like you, I really do, I am Big Peter Green fan and you do his music proud.

  • Still thanks.

When I play, I enjoy very much and I like to transmit enjoy to people that watch my videos.

  • That is so gooooood you are very talented thank you for your time you are sooooo good E.C is god -- Peter Green Is God -

    roby62gtr

    Is God

  • Thanks very much for your kind comment.

I agree with you about Eric and Peter. Wonderful guitar players !

I think I'm only a honest guitar player.

  • thank you

  • Where do i find backing track please

  • Sorry, I don't mind where I found this backing track.

If I find it on my pc, I'll send to you, ok?

  • I just want you to know that I am watching and learning this song, note for note, by watching you rock out to this blues classic. and I'm having the time of my life!! Thank you so much. wishing you and your family all the best from beautiful British Columbia..

  • Wow !!!! Thaaaanks!!!

I'm very happy and proud to have received your kind comment.

    Regards from Italy

    Roberto

  • Excellent blues guitar playing. Wish I was half as good as you!

By the way, do you have a decent guitar tab for I Loved Another Woman? Haven't been able to find one..

    Best regards!

  • Thanks a lot for your comment.

    I'm honored.

As I say to old my youtube friends, my tabs are my fingers and my heart, I got no tabs, sorry, but I'll search on internet, ok ?

    Hugs

    Roberto

  • I liked this video a lot!

and now i'm watching your videos. I liked a lot!

  • Thanks very much.

    I'm honored.

  • sounds very good , although its more like santana than greeny . No offence meant

  • No offence, absolutely.

But Santana was very influenced by Peter Green and his sould looks like the Peter Green's way of playing.

Thanks very much for your comment.

  • this is great, Peter Green is one of those guitarists that can't seem to have enough videos on youtube, its even rarer to find a guitarist that so obviously isn't just regurgitating ultimate guitar tab on a video. cool

  • Thanks a lot for your kind comment.

  • Very nicely done. You definitely have a passion for Peter's music and the blues in general. I don't think that it's too much reverb, especially for trying to capture Peter Green's sound.

  • Thanks a lot for your comment.

I like the Blues in general, but principally the british Blues and all the great british guitar players of the sixtiies and first seventies.

As I said, Peter got a great quantity of reverb. Someone don't like, but for capture his sound, a good quantity of reverb is necessary.

  • Great!

    Thanx for posting it!

  • Thanks to meeeee!!!!!

    THANKS TO YOU!!!!

I'm very glad if you like it.

Very nice tutorial, keep on playing man!!

  • ok, Amico.

    Grazie moltissimo.

    Ciao e a presto.

  • Very nice, Roberto!

  • Thanks very much for your comment.

  • roby62gtr,

Great Job!!! You played your own style, and yet I hear some PG in you. Nice tone ... I'm copying some of stuff your doing :-)

Where did you get the "I loved another woman" backtrack? Can you please do "World Keeps On Turning" and "Like It This Way"?

  • Thanks a lot for your comment.

I only tried to capture the feeling of PG. I hope to be reach a good result.

I found the backing track on internet, but I don't mind where :-(

The tunes you noted.......I got no the backing tracks. I'm looking for.

    Ciao.

    Roberto.

  • nice playing roberto, sounds good...touch,tone,feel,..less is more and you know it my friend, you inspired me to practice more! many thanks ,robert(u.k)

  • Thanks a lot for your kind comment.

I'm very happy if you like this video.

    Blues On!!!

    Roby

  • Hello from San Diego, California! I want to say I listen to your playing almost everyday and think you are an excellent player and since you play the Peter Green style so nice would you consider doing a cover of "The Supernatural"?

  • Thanks very much. I'm very honored.

I love "The Supernatural", is a wonderful tune, but at this moent I got no the backing track :-(

    Ciao

    Roberto.

  • to much reverb!!

  • For me, this reverb setting is right, as I said in this video. This is the Peter Green style and my opinion.

Sorry, if you don't like it. The next time I'll try to make better.

  • FWIW: The original player, Peter Green was all about reverb, even more than this!

  • yu use one compressor .MVG JAN

  • I used only my guitar and my Peavey amp, with reverb at 6/7th position.

Nothing pedals and never the compressor, that modifies the sound of guitar.

    Ciao

    Roberto.

  • good nummer roger top en performance leuk .mvg jan

  • (L)(O)(V)(E)

  • Non sono mai riuscito a capire se questo è un video interessante, o no.

    :-)

  • Very nice sounds.Very good job.

  • Thanks very much.

    I'm glad if you enjoyed.

  • bRAVO!ON SOME VERY FINE PLAYING...YOU HAVE PETER GREENS' STYLE QUITE MASTERED.

  • Thanks a lot for your kind comment.

I like very much the Peter Green's style.

p.s. I saw your videos and I was very impressed. I'm a fan of the british folk rock, principally Fairport Convention and Pentangle.

    Ciao. :-)

  • Your playing is definitely in the wright direction, i guess im a perfectionist...if i were to jam to this it would have to being EXACTLY right or just a completely different jam sorta thing..... anyway! Much love to you and your guitar and keep on listening to this great music and please don't take any of my comments offensively.

  • Nothing offensive, absolutely.

I play guitar since thirty years and you will excuse my presumptuousness, but also having gone back to the style of the great white guitar players of the british blues, I created my style and I don't like copying not by note (with some exceptions).

My aim was to capture some of the Peter Green style, as requested by my friends, nothing of more.

I'm sorry if you did not like it and next time I'll try to do better.

    Thanks for your comments. :-)

  • Roby, First of all congrats on a really fine video and some very fine heartfelt blues playing by you. Peter Green (#1) and Kim Simmonds (#2)are my two very favorite blues guitarists. I was so motivated after seeing your video I'm buying a LesPaul and little amp and taking guitar up again after giving it up over 20 years ago. Thank you for the inspiration!

  • Hi gsasko, these are the comments I would ever read.

I'm proud to receive your comment and I'm glad if I motivate some guys that love blues and rock music.

Kim Simmonds is an underated guitar player but is very good.

Stay tuned, 'cause I'll post other videos and some tutorials.

If you have to ask me something, no problem, I'll respond always.

Ciao from Italy and thank very much.

  • Haha interesting, love that your keen to show the Peter Green style. Its a great track to jam over. I felt annoyed at myself tho, reson being is that no-one can cover anything Pg did to me and satisfy me...nothing wrong with your playing in general, its just i cant stand hearing a song i know note for note in my head and hear it played differently....because as we all know Peter Green pretty much played it the way it should be.

  • Is that an epipohone les paul plus?!

  • Yes!!!!

    Exact answer. :-)

    It's an excellent instrument.

  • Fellow guitarists I have a question for you. I think roby 62gtr is a fine player he plays the styles that I like. However, why are we giving him credit for his "tone". Tone comes from the guitar and the amplifier. What credit can a player have for this ? All credit goes to Gibson and Marshall or whatever the gear is.

  • Hi Lalo,

first of all, I thank you very much for your compliments.

It's true: tone comes from the guitar and the amplifier, but we can give various types of sound.

Each of us can play a Gibson guitar on a Marshall amp, using different tones and creating a very different sound.

Think of what boredom if we had everybody the same tone. :-)

Gibson and Marshall put their instruments in our hands but we must build our sound.

  • yeah, it sounds very close to peter's tone, wich is absolutely magnificent!!!

    Nice work man!

  • Thanks a lot, my friend.

I agree very much this comment. :)

  • Thanks very much!

    You have reason perfectly.

First part remebers more the Peter Green style.

  • Hey Roberto, this is a great video.Your English is excellent,I wish my Italian was good as your English.I saw P.G's Fleetwood Mac 3 times in the '60'S and saw him twice with the Splinter Group.I played in a band 15 yrs ago and played mostly Fleetwood Mac.They were a great band! 5*

  • I believe that Peter Green is one of the most underated guitar players of the rock history. His work on "A Hard Road" was excellent, a very milestone of the british blues.

This is my tribute to a great musician.

    Thanks for your compliments. :-)

  • Hello friend! i see taht ur buzzy postig new videos!! thats just great! All your tunes are good... but thisone brakes them all. I was just wondering if u are playing in a band or something because if u dont, pls do it!! I like music and i love the guitar (dont playing so well tough) but i have to say that u have the feeling, sound ... everything. in a word u put the soul in ur giutar fo sound perfect!!

All the best and hope a new video is comming soon!

    Ceao!

  • Wooooow!

    I'm confused :)

Thanks very much for your compliments.

As I said to other friends, I'm not a "virtuoso" but when I play guitar, I try to put all of my soul and my feeling.

To play the blues, a good sound research is fundamental to play well.

    New videos? Stay tuned!!! ;)

    Ciaooooo!!!!!!

  • Really liked your tone in this one. I like the reverb and clean tone for blues. Cool licks and great technique. Thanks for the tips on my video, I will try to play more confidently. (with conviction)

  • Thanks very much, Dorian.

    Yes! Believe to yourself! :)

You play only from 2005? Very well!

I want to see your next videos, ok?

  • Great Job. Great Sound. And your English is just fine. No apology needed.

    Log Live Peter Green.

  • Wooooow!!!! Please to meet you.

    Thanks a lot.

I'm proud to read this comment. :-)

Yes! Peter Green is a great guitar player, very underated.

  • Hi Roby,

You have got that nice soft pick as Pete , went to see him when he was with John Mayell inspired me to pick up the guitar and been playing Britt Blues the last 35 years ....... you have got the sound just right.

    John

  • Wooow!

    Thanks a lot!

I agree very much your comment.

I believe that the guitar sound of Peter on "A Hard Road", is one the most beautiful of the Rock history. What do you think about "The Supernatural"? :-)

  • Great job Roby love the sweet sound of that Les Paul

  • Thanks a lot, Lai.

As you know, I'm very proud to receive some comments from a very talented musician like you.

  • youre a very good guitar player.

i like it when you play.

    and nice t shirt also!:P

  • I'm very proud receive some comments like this. They stimulate me to make always better.

That t-shirt (in truth, is a sweater) has been given me by an american friend, acquired at a Warner Brothers store.

  • keep on rocking!....

  • Yessssss!!!!!

    We rockin'.

Do you believe what Ronnie James Dio sang? "Long live Rock'n'Roll". :-)

  • Thanks for honoring my request. I'm a big Peter Green fan as well. Just an additional idea maybe you'd consider doing in a future lesson/tutorial that could really benefit your viewers-if you could zoom in on your left hand when your playing the song, and possibly show us a slower version of any of the more difficult licks. It would be great to see a follow up video of this same song with the colse ups-either way I enjoyed it and hope you do some more video lessons for us. Thanks!

  • Thanks for honoring my request for a video lesson. I love Peter Green and I really enjoyed watching your video. What would also be a great help to your viewers is if when you play the song for the lesson part, you could zoom in on your left hand so we can better make out just what your playing, with an occasional slower explanation of some of the more tricky lick/phrases. Maybe you'd consider doing a follow up video to this same song, but with a close up of your left hand. Either way it was great.

  • Thanks for your so kind comments.

Define mine, as a video lesson, maybe is too much, but you gave me some ideas that I would like to carry out, at the disposal of my friends.

Hope to put other tutorial videos very soon.

    Ciaoooooo and thaaaaaaanx !!!!!!!

p.s. I would like to know whether my English language is intelligible.

  • Yes, your English is very understandable whith a cool accent.
