UAVs with chain guns would mean they would be much heavier and therefore suck up more fuel. Those weapons are also less accurate from high up so UAVs would have to fly closer to the ground making them far more susceptible to small arms fire and we'd probably lose one every couple of days so go ahead and add the cost of having to replace them all too. This is a retarded idea from someone who has watched the Ateam movie too many times.

first of all a hellfire missile starts at 30K and judging by the size of that explosion it was probably alot more powerful and expensive. id rather see those hostiles down than an American anyday but i think the army needs to come up with more efficient and more cost effective ways of disposing of hostiles.
