This is the game that i always watched my dad play when i was like 5 and one time he had to awnser the phone so i played it, i got adicted to it right away, i think these games are the best, bad graphics and lots of stadegy, unlick call of duty where the whole game is to just walk thru a level killing people, The star wars games with this Kyle guy are the best...

At 1:40 as a kid I would always do the same routine: Push old man onto elevator, push him off at the bottom floor, then push him under the elevator to watch him be squished. Had to do it every time I played, even if it took me 15 minutes haha. The good ol' days :)

@IspeakGAYanese they just don't make Star Wars games like they used to. They need to make a sequel to Jedi Academy starring Kyle Katarn, Republic Commando II and Battlefront III. No more of that Force Unleashed crap. Lets get some proper lightsaber battles not quicktime events. If they do this then Lucas will be saved I guarantee it.

I loved this game, played it constantly. I remember there was a glitch in the game where you could change your player model into any world item. It was hilarious turning yourself into a bacta tank or the fruit/salad cart. Ah the good ol days.

I'd really like to get this on steam. I've never played Dark Forces but I loved both the academy and especially outcast. But I see it doesn't work on windows 7 64 so I'll probably never get to play this old classic. Is this in Quake3 engine? Sure looks like it is.

@popkraz97 There is a way to play it on Win7 64 though. The installation has to be made by yourself, copying the files from the CDs.

Try this out and don't forget creating a shortcut with the following options near the program location : -windowgui -displaymode.

It should be a little itchy in the beginning but once the game really starts, it works like a charm.

These older games forced you to use your imagination so much more.. Thats why i loved this game. in some levels the atmosphere is just fantastic, particularly this one, with the tie fighter flying away, and the huge depths of this weird space station.

Loved playing this game as a child. Very atmospheric. I don't know if I'd say scary, but possibly it was, in parts. Also, I remember my dad having to help me through the levels, because some of the puzzles were really challenging! I was so amazed that he was so accurate with his advice despite not being a gamer that I became his padawan :D

I have this game and Mysteries of the Sith and both games won't working properly on XP. If i change only resolution the game will crash. Game will crash if i turn on 3D acelleration for smooth graphics WTF. But game will not crash if i don't change anything, and i must play with PS1 like graphics.That fantastic game is not reliable on XP.
