This is not Polushko Pole, but "Ey, ukhnem!" - the Volga boatmen song. Ukh is a sharp shriek a person doing something physicaly hard performs at the point of maximum strain (like an tennis player hitting the ball, an athlet lifting the weight or in this particular case pulling the oars while rowing). By the way this was one of my favourite cartoons when I was a child :)

The song ants are "singing" is NOT "Polushko Pole". This is a song called "Ey, ukhnem" - the song of the Volga boatmen. The word "Ukh" is an old word meaning a short shriek a person doing any physical work performs at the moment of maximum
