As a kid, I thought this movie was OK, but I was still aware of how preachy it was, because of that DANG FORCED LINE! "All the mommies and daddies are coming back! :D" "Not all my dear..." "D:" THAT always depressed me, but excluding that one part, I considered it, and still do, a decent movie...despite what The Critic said about Cornelius leaving the kids to go out BY THEMSELVES! Sheesh dude, really...

this movie was my all time favorite movie as a child. i watched it at least once a day. i, however, would never let my three year old watch it. any movie where animals die makes her upset for hours. i remember watching the lion king with her...that was a huge mistake.

I don't get it either. Ferngully and Pagemaster, two other Fox animation movies, get to stay up for years but for some reason not Once Upon a Forest. Sadly Universal has clamped down on An American Tail too.

You can rip DVDs like like you can rip CDs. I use Nero but there are several programs out there. I don't think Windows Media Player can rip DVDs though.
