  • put one of those chunks on a hook! nice footage though!

  • great to see the tuna - so few left and the guys that have helped make them extinct for money will move on to the next animal for money - these are sad times

  • this shit pumps me way more than seeing the other videos of people actually catching them

  • very cool but these are not giants

  • look at the water those fish displace when they swim by... MASSIVE!!!

  • Great video. It's amazing how great the vision of those fish are that they would avoid the bait with the hook so many times. Awesome fish.

  • nice one dude ;)

  • finally! something worth watching on youtube!

  • Aye! At least they could have been practicing tag & release! ...

  • great vid. to bad you didn't have some under water footage. That would have been badd ass.

  • you just watch money bags swiim under the boat!!!! great vid!! amazing fish

  • This is one cool video. Thanks for sharing.

  • thats fantastic!! great footage!!

  • Who would ever know that this was shot in the Santa Monica Bay ??

  • Where EXACTLY is this? like lat/ long? and time of year?

  • This video is pretty cool. I'm amazed how they come right up to the boat. These blue fin tuna are in their infant phase. For these fish to make it to the adult 1000-1500 lbs range they say it should take about 20 years. Hopefully they'll make it to that phase in their lives.

  • if you guys got your quota and then started to feed the tuna with the remainder of the bait left I respect that. thats giving back intresting that the fish comes up 2 at a time

  • uoohhhh nice vid !

    gretings from spain

  • WOW....great vid!

  • I would pay just about anything to go and experience that first hand

  • Great video...right up on the surface like this...we dont get that off coastal GA!!!

  • I want to through a butterfly jig at them right now, i would probaly go overboard but i think that it would be worth it. Fighting one of them on my jigging setup would be killer.

  • omgosh, this video is AMAZING! i can't believe you have wild tuna weighing hundreds of pounds that are coming up to feed next to your boat. WONDERFUL!

  • I'm glad that Tuna on the atlantic side are intact. Not so in Calif. They don't get that big here.Never seen Bluesfins get any bigger than 40lbs.Many fish depleted here.

  • what is it your throwing to them, spot , butterfish?

  • @toobsrider067 Mackeral

  • You guys do realize the size of the spawn that fish have right? They lay anywhere from 100-1000 eggs at a time. They aren't going anywhere.

  • Thanks for this post...this vid was awesome...

  • harpoons? go back to stone ages guys

  • @livingwater902 : Good for the strict sport fishing regulations in Canada, but do you realy think that sportfishermen are emptying the sea's ?.

You know that a scientific study in Brittain has shown that sportfishing is responsable for the catch of...0.01% of the yearly catches !We need to have more smaller vessels with adapted and selective ways of fishing and ban those factoryships on sea.

For the record : this was one of the most enjoyable footage I ever watched ! respect !

  • very very wonderful

  • Outstanding footage guys. Thanks soo much for sharing. Your a better man than I because I would be taking out the Harpoon :)

  • I wish you guys could create a new fishing trend. Feed as many fish as possible. Loved to see it....

  • What a film - what fish.....grrrrr.... Stella....popper....stickbait

  • Wow, simply amazing GIANTS up close like that. Let's hope we don't hunt them into extinction, they're already on the brink of disappering from our waters.

  • get a fly in there!

  • I wanna DO THIS SIGN ME UP!

  • I NEED MY STELLA!!!!!!!!

  • The over fishing is due large trawlers that string miles and miles of hooks and the seiners that catch hundreds of fish in single day, regardless of size. The fishing zone this video is shot in has some of the strictest regulations and quotas in the world.

  • Yes habfansDOTcom is correct, here in Atlantic Canada we have probably the strictest fishing regulations and quota system in the world for bluefin tuna which is rigidly enforced by DFO.Our commercial regulations are probably stricter then sport fishing regulations in other countries. If all countries were as good at bluefin conservation as Canada there would not be a problem with the bluefin stocks anywhere in the world.

  • Awesome, great Video..

  • Great video Carey. I was just up in Cape Cod with Jose Wejebe shooting a bluefin tuna show. Amazing animals.

  • wow. what amazing footage. thank you for sharing!

  • hi what were u using and to u get any?

  • PEI is under some of the most strict quota restrictions in the world. The season here doesnt start until October 5. The fish were this thick for roughly 3 weeks in early September on the herring grounds of the Ridge. If there was 60 herring boats out the tuna were this thick around each boat. Unreal amounts of tuna!!!!!

  • Nice Video guys. Im guessing you had already limited out and were just having a little fun, What a bonus this video is though. We fed Yellowfin this way once, but that was years ago and it is very rare, to get it on video this way is even more rare. Great job.

  • yes, feed them more! the bigger they get, the more lunch we get!

  • Awesome Did you guys catch any? Or just feed them?

  • HOLY S!@#!!!! i will pay u $1,000,000.00 for ur exact coordinates... by the way why werent u guys tryn to catch any of them????

  • H ighly

    M igratory

    S pecies

  • OMG

  • C'mon guys--give me a harpoon already!

  • I may have to wait a while before I can stand up...

My god.... I cannot even imagine that sized tuna next to the boat like that...

    Truly an amazing video.

    Tight lines.. Jeff

    aka Holi-e-Mackeral

  • i coudl watch this all day.....

  • CRAZY! so cool :)

  • How big are those fish??

  • great vid, fellow Canadian!

Can you guys film more? PEI, I've been there.. but nowhere near "the ridge"

  • Did you guys have limits already or what? I posted a link to this on a hardcore West Coast Tuna fishing site and people had serious wood.

  • so awesome!

  • where will they be the first day the season opens?

    nice video!

  • where is this filmed and do you have the contact information to them

  • Is says in the description PEI (Prince Edward Island). There are plenty of fishing charters there.

  • that video is insane, that is truly a foamer.

  • Awesome VID!!!
