Actually, for home defense, buckshot is overkill. The distances involved inside your home are not great. 7 1/2 shot will hammer an intruder. Hell, the wad alone might kill him. One thing to think about is unintended consequences. Something like shooting through sheet-rock and killing the wrong person inside your house.

BOOM! BOOM! I've never fired a shotgun inside. The only indoor place near me is pistol only. I hate indoor ranges though so it doesn't matter. What kind of shells were you shooting?

@misery556 These were 2 3/4 magnum 00 buckshot. I have shot 3" 000 buckshot and slugs also inside. You might go deaf if you use a shotgun for home defense using these rounds
