How much lesss fuel would be used if you simple put natural gas into the air stream. The O2 sensor should account for the richer mixture and lean out the gasoline injection shouldn't it? Or is the O2 sensor's impact on mixture very narrow? Does natural gas suffer from pre-detonation like low octane gasoline or is the BTU content low enough that it can be run in a high compression engine with no knocking problems?
@wetp8nt@wetp8nt Lots of the installers can't stay in business for some reason. I had a $5500 conversion done on one of my cars. A year later I had a problem and the installer was no longer in business. I had to learn to fix the system myself. I converted my other car myself for $1000. I'm very interested in taking the next step towards CNG but the price is adding up.
5500 for garage appliance filling station. Maybe 4000 to 5000 for car converter.
I have a 2001 toyota Camry 4 cylinder I'm wanting to convert. What to you suggest.
I like the 1000 range and can you help me figure whats the best way to go.
