  • Mein gutz Bale is beautiful. So ripped @_@

  • I cant understand what hes saying is it Gun Catus or what?

  • @0xXSilentSandsXx0 Gun Kata. Japanese Marital Art term meaning form. so Gun Form

  • god, this scene is pretty much like 1984!

  • his son does not need any drug, he is already a born psycopath.

  • awww i love how he has the need to rearrange his desk... it's adorable how he just wants to be different..

and then when he sees the blood on his gloves i just wanna hug him.

  • Dayum! dis bitch has a huge forhead.

  • Looks like it was made in the early 90s as far as production goes and the plot concept not bad but the action is so laughable at best. So if everything is built on need not feel then why do they feel they need big freaking tvs?? lol

  • @rlscs63 Because If you have say, a small 20 inch TV, are all hundred people gathered for the pep talk going to see? Nope.

  • @rlscs63 It`s A Totalitarian State , stupid ! The Librian Government use The TVs to broadcast Father`s Propaganda !

  • daayum lookin' good christian!

  • he has an illegal mirror in his bathroom.

  • @knightriderwalker120

    I know, crazy he!

  • @knightriderwalker120 I think the one mirror was "illegal" because it had artwork on the outside.

  • this movie is like 10000 years b4 the Giver

  • they're fighting for peace yhat is just very logical :p

  • question for kurt wimmer....

Grammaton Cleric John Preston VS Ultraviolet = WINNER ????

  • without feeling how do the cops have aggrestion in shootouts.lol if they had no feeling they would have less skill cause they wont have a feeling of the fear of death.

  • @sarkaz2005 It's not aggression, its technical defense and offense. Pure agression usually fails in battle. That's why it wasn't the millions of Soviet soldiers who defeated the nazis, it was the small percentage who took advantage of strategic superiority or broke down the process of fighting to small decisive battles.

  • 5:28 "Good morning, cleric."

    "Good morning."

In my country, most students don't even respect their teachers enough to greet them but these emotionless people can exchange greetings. They should be sent for processing.

  • @supermouse1969 which country is that at my school the teacher would shout in rage look at u in a disgust face and probably chase you out the the class

  • @atlantian88 My country is Malaysia. However, I've got to say that most of this disrespectful cases are from private schools where the kids are spoiled and the parents are filthy rich who think that money is supposed to buy everything. I've been a private school teacher for 8 years teaching kids from ages 13 to 17.

  • you'd think that if negative emotion was the only real problem they'd be trying to make a drug that only allows positive emotion and causes the person to feel no emotion in place of negativity. A mix of positive emotion in positive situations and no emotion in negative situations could greatly improve productivity.

  • 03:00 now that's a beautiful scene...

  • This is the 21st centuries version of Orwells 1984 but better!

  • o he feels alright. he is feeling guilty.

  • I like how you can tell how long he has been off the drug by his hair. lol They did a great job in acting it out and even in the look.

  • Hey Paul!

  • wen he was looking in the mirror, iwas feeling sexy

  • dayum...i'd wanna learn the gun arts o3o

  • @XlordchaosforteX Gun kata is a fictional martial art that i really want to learn as well. I havent really seen a movie do this before... heck i just wanna emit a pistol from my longsleeve shirt!

  • ummm, why does he fire from the hip

  • 8:25-8:31 the true source of man's inhumanity towards man, lack of compassion

  • why is it that they're supposed to not feel emotion, but they get pissed-off?? Especially the little-shit kid.

    He needs a good beating.

  • Watch the whole film first.

  • Yeah, I always like to watch a full film before I watch the full film.

  • Before commenting I mean.

  • er...why?

You never say anything until you've seen/read anything?

Are there laws against saying what you think when you think it?

Do you live in North Korea?

  • Well if you had seen the rest of the film you'd understand. I'm just saying don't critique something that could yet be averted.

  • And all I'm saying is that why should I have to wait till the end of the film then go back to the start and coment on the bits that have an effect on the outcome???

Wouldn't that just take all the fun out of having an opinion, or a life??

  • Your question is resolved later in the film. That's all that matters.

  • Hahahahahaha

You take missing the point of an argument to the level of an artform.

  • The point of the argument is that it's a film with things that get revealed later on, so obviously making a claim about the film early on may be mistaken due to possible later events unfolding. I wasn't criticising your original comment. I was simply trying to give an explanation.

  • @luis6079

I have no idea what you're on about but, you=trolling FAIL.

  • Comment removed

  • @thedotpeople

of course there's no laws like that. you're free to be as much of an ignorant retard as you want. as you are so elegantly demonstrating. god bless america.

  • @dsbclt

ignorant retard? at least I have more of a life then to comment on peoples 2 month old comments. God bless America? So you mean that America is a country of retards? Glad I'm not American, but you are so you must be right.

    Bye bye.

  • he has OCD..lol

  • obsessvive cleaning disorder?

  • Love the expression @ 3:48; he's like "Hold the fu%k-up, what am I doing?!?!!?"

  • this is sooo like what the british goverment want of uk people

  • 2:12-3:50

    simply beautiful!

  • omg i love this film

  • this movie reminds me of the book 1984 i swear to god

and christan bale is filthy in this movie

  • u crazy? keanu reeves would make that movie complete bullshit. Bale is like 1000000000 times better.

  • No its because in all movies keanu reeves is in he lacks any show of emotion at all, so he could have played his partner

  • @rexxar12345 Bale is way fucking overrated. To top it off, he smacks women & children about.

  • Could have used Keanu Reeves in it.

  • He looks like Keanu. o:

  • 2:14 dayum!!! nice 6 pack.

  • Feeling for the first time would be like the first time you tripped major balls.

  • Comments are too long to read and i'm too lazy. So i'm just gonna say I luv Bale.

  • i know christian bale was taking that drug so he wouldnt have emotions but in the real future they will just brainwash us or hook us up to some kind computer that feeds us information so then we become stupid among other things to basicaly every1 on the planet except the underground so u wont have a choice of feeling or not feeling unless u go under ground

  • whats sad is thsi is the way the future is gonna be - Emotionles people that have no regard for there fellow human being - there will be some like christian bale that end up seeing there wrong and feel something for there fellow man but for the most part people wont care - its kinda like that now its just getting worse - it realy sickens me the way people treat 1 another in this day in age - if some1 realy is in need i believe 4 the most part people will help each other

  • hmm intereasting convo brings up the question of "if you had a chance to kill hitler as a baby would you?" would it really be right> the truth is you dont know what someone is going to do in the future they could turn out to be anything but just becuase they dont do the right things all the time doesnt make them terrible after all society shapes them into what they are as shown in this movie.

  • if you went back in time and killed baby hitler, there would be no hitler in the future, thus creating a paradox because you wouldnt go back in time to kill him in the first place, and on and so on...

  • nice view he has there

  • Morals = Subjective.

There you go, I just saved you all hours of writing more comments.

Oh and murder depends on the context, i.e. Killing 1 man before he kills 20 people, surely that is morally correct.

  • what if the 20 people were all rapists returning from a night out? Murder is never right.

  • I agree, even in warfare, killing is wrong. Yes, by killing 1 person, you may have saved 100, but the fact that you have ended that 1 person's life is wrong. It was a plus you saved those 100 people, but a negative you killed that 1 person. That doesnt mean they cancel out though. Its not like a video game where karma either increases or decreases linearly depending on your actions.

  • shutup fag you dont know how it works, only god would know

  • And by that comment, I can tell your are a very right winged conservative who likes to keep all types of assault rifles in his house. Your right, only God would know. So by telling me to shut up are you saying you know how God operates things? I dont think any of use know for sure how God operates things, so telling someone to shut up because they voiced their opinion is kind of useless. I dont think an all loving and compassionate god would say killing is ok.

  • There is a Buddhist story that deals with a person killing someone who was plotting on killing the entire crew of his ship. Not only did he prevent that would be murderer of encuring the negative karma of killing, he didnt get any either because it was not acted out on delusion. So really, this whole debate is quite subjective. Its hard to say.

  • wats the song called at 1:15?

  • 3:48 "Wow look at how incredibly well endowed i am"

  • Lol, well can you blame him? I would stare at myself too if I was that gorgeous!

  • Yes i agree with you, not only style he using gun but his face is looked like DANTE

  • He should play Dante in devil may cry

  • wen he was looking in the mirror, he was feeling sexy

  • how come none of da cops die? wierd it wouldve added a lil more realism

  • No, because it is saying the system is perfect. Nothing can defeat the system! It is suppose to add a hint of irony that only one of the top members of the system can defeat it!

  • the cops r like supersoilders

  • stupid question but if there were no emotions then there would be no fealings then there would be no enjoyment so why would children still be born like cmon if i didnt care i wouldnt have sex, like ppl do it for enjoyment, well at least i do it makes sense if you think about it i like this movie but there are some vital errors in it

  • artificial insemenation :) Of course then you run into the problem of Librian citizens "feeling" it necessary to safeguard a perfect society. Why would they desire a "peaceful" society? lol

  • watch 2:25

    one of my favourite scenes

    awesome...in combination with the msuic

  • tite man

  • gun kata can be defeated by spraying a lethal wall of led.

  • Yeah and aren't there hand grenades in the future?

  • amazing how the gun became part of an effective martial arts in this movie. I for one find it sorta ironic xD

  • Lol. ^^ It's amazing how him having feelings awakened his awareness to his environment.

  • The rain was symbolic of Plato's Allegory of the Cave. How many of us would be brave enough to not run back to the familiar shadows in the cave when confronted with reality for the first time? Of course, those who return to the cave believe the shadows are what is real. Could what I perceive as being real be mere shadows of the world around me? Or should I ask if my senses are limited? The answer is the same. Some can see reality, but they appear insane.

  • i want to be a gramaton cleric!!!!!

  • You want to be a slave? ;)

  • Is a slave a slave if they aren't aware that they are a slave? Yeah I know. That is a stupid question. Never mind.

  • It's not a stupid question at all. It's a very pertinent one. =]

  • Others would say it is a stupid question. Thanks for not thinking so. A slave is a slave regardless of how ignorant one is. That is my opinion anyway. Will you tell me something? Are we slaves? Do you feel free?

  • An interesting question, I'm sat here writing an essay on Free will and Determinism and there's good arguments for both. I suppose however that we can not usually aware of freedom (however limited) until it is taken from us. As to whether I feel free... I honestly couldn't tell you. =]

  • I remember Freedom. It's nice. I miss it. What form of currency do you use? DETERMINISM!? I hate that crap! Fatalists are especially disgusting to me. What a waste of skin. Are you a philosopher?

  • Where did you freedom go? Guilt destroys freedom- and since no one is without guilt no one is free.

  • That is the question I need to answer. Maybe I can find it. I'm not sure what you mean about guilt. Guilty of what? Most people are good.

  • I'm of the persuasion most people are bad. Sure people can do good things- but they can never outweigh or reverse the bad. Bad things leave more of a mark on souls than the good- that's the stain of guilt that I'm talking about- who can really get rid of the bad?

  • What makes you think that most people are bad? How can a bad person be capable of doing a "good thing?"

  • Most people are insular and selfish and even when a good thing slaps them in the face they try to ignore as much as possible! Instead of choosing the right route people will normally go for the selfish option!

  • Now we have a realistic logical and moral statement. Humans are selfish animals or rather creatures obsessed with not being animals but behaving all the same.

  • What do you think so many people have to feel guilty about? Making mistakes and not being perfect or actual crimes against other people? I'm less concerned about Freedom from guilt or having regret than I am with Freedom from gov't oppression. Having regrets isn't related to that.

  • their are certain individuals free of guilt. they are all in a maximum security wing though.

  • In Economics we assign value to prodcts by way of currency. The price fluctuates depending on how badly we need a product. Consequently, no product can assign value to itself. It cannot say it is intrinsically good or bad, valuable or worthless. So arises the problem of the value of man. Men cannot say with any authority that it is wrong to kill, (especially if they're nothing more than random organic life-forms). He might as well say that it is wrong to eat tootsie rolls on Friday.

  • I'm sure you wouldn't agree that someone killing you would be a good thing- there are some things that philosophy or economics can't answer me thinks!!

  • Lol Of course not! And neither would you think that being killed yourself was a good thing. But, that is my point. We are merely human. What makes our opinion on the subject morally superior than that of our would-be murderers. It's simply two humans disagreeing about morals and assignment of value. We both have to appeal to a 'Right' that is seperate and higher than ourselves. Murder is wrong not because I think so, but because it violates a higher standard to which I am indifferently subject.

  • I would think very highly of myself being killed actually- my belief gives me more reason to live selflessly than to live selfishly. I would happily be murdered deffending those who are vulnerable, weak or in need of salvation for whatever reason.

I am not indifferently subject to a higher standard. A higher standard has won my heart and I gladly give myself for it daily denying the temporal for future gains. I am not blind I can now see. Does that make me King? I am arrogant.

  • Where then does our desire for truth and justice, as well as our disdain for liars and murderers come from? Are they just quirks of our species? Do they have value? Are they "good" or "bad" (does it matter). Determinism at least offers a logical, if incomplete, answer to this question. "waste of skin" !?!? Take it easy man! Right, wrong, or indifferent, the beliefs and feelings of fatalists are sincere. SentCon didn't even espouse one or the other but merely wanted to discuss. You missed out.

  • I believe that conscience and morals do me less good than others- without conscience I could gain, steal and win a lot more corruptly than morally= I would be better off without them. However, I have faith because of the fact we have morals and can act with conscience- evolution doesn't make sense with these concepts- the theory of intelligent design does! If we danced only to DNA we would all be dead right now!

  • Study up on game theory sometime. Moral societies are more successful in the long run than immoral ones, so though individuals can increase their reproductive chances by lying, cheating, and killing, genetic groups that don't will be able to reproduce more. Beyond that, most societies will violently retaliate against someone that reduces the chances of survival of the group, again encouraging a genetic predisposition to moral behavior despite the short-term profits of immorality.

  • Then be one. You know you'll go to jail though, right?

  • Preston roxx!!

  • i wanna lear gun kata :)
