@ckristyles vtec is for fuel mileage not power. why does the d16z6 vtec make the same amount of power as the d16a6 non vtec? its because the vtec lobes are the same size as the normal lobes on the a6. the primary cam lobes on the z6 are smaller so you get good fuel mileage and at 5500 rpms you get your normal lobes which let you have your normal power.

what year is the accord? I have a 00 accord v6 coupe. Bad thing about these sporty looking little NSX's are that rolling starts we never have an advantage.. these things take forever to haul and get up to a good speed.. I'd say off the line the accord would have a better chance. That's from personal experience. I still drive my accord.

@ckristyles vtec is for fuel mileage not power. why does the d16z6 vtec make the same amount of power as the d16a6 non vtec? its because the vtec lobes are the same size as the normal lobes on the a6. the primary cam lobes on the z6 are smaller so you get good fuel mileage and at 5500 rpms you get your normal lobes which let you have your normal power.

what year is the accord? I have a 00 accord v6 coupe. Bad thing about these sporty looking little NSX's are that rolling starts we never have an advantage.. these things take forever to haul and get up to a good speed.. I'd say off the line the accord would have a better chance. That's from personal experience. I still drive my accord.
