  • it dos'nt it glides in the water and looks like its flying!!

  • No flying?

  • Even when a kid i realised that it was shaped well as a submarine, not too sure that camera pleasing wide wivdscreen would hold up at 150 mph dive let alone the structure.

  • i made one that flys but wen it dives in the water the blades stop movin then when i pull it out it starts workin again =(

  • wow!!!!

  • thank god i thought i was the only one.the flying sub a dream machine.

  • im i the only person here that has noticed that it doesnt actually fly?

  • You young whipper snappers don't realise this is the design of the "Flying submarine" from the sci fi television show "Voyage to the bottom of the sea" made in the 1960s.

The nuclear powered sub "Seaview" had a nuclear powered smaller sub kept on board that could fly supersonic in the air.

The "flying" aspect was something it could do in the TV show. A flying RC version would be harder due to lack of aerodynamic control surfaces.

  • oh okay, thanks for the intel

  • The Flying Sub was created for the TV show " Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. In the show it did both fly and submerge. It was a two man craft that docked inside a larger submarine. Search for the TV show on Youtube.

  • Well, it proves that the idea and design for the "sub" part of "Flying Sub" would work!
