Ok, every1, look at the date this clip was posted. Its indicated that this is not the iPhone 4 which was mass selling in Sing in recently. It might be the one which was purchased in Europe and used the Starhub simcard.
As I know, IP4 in Sing are produced from the week of 28 or 29, so it should not have the reception issue.
honestly, the same thing happens with my htc magic. outdoors, no drop in bars. indoors, the death grip phenomenon happens as well. there is some truth in jobs words, all smart phones are not 100% flawless in reception. i do feel that there would be no significant issue with the iphone 4 when operated in singapore, using singtel, starhub or m1's mobile connections.
The number of bars is not much of an indication, especially since you're probably standing in a strong signal area. Please test with a file upload from the browser for example (3G), something that's big enough to take at least 60 seconds.
Is it possible for the same test to be conducted when a webpage is being downloaded over 3G, i.e. heck care how many bars there are, but see whether a bridging of the antenna have REAL-world (near-instant) impact on 3G data transmission?

Singapore needs to know the following (and I as most iphone 4 uncertain buyers)
1. "Death Grip" to be held exactly the way in most videos which showed the drop in bars so it alleviates any of our fears.
2. Any yellow spots/lines on the screen from your experience
3. Price of phone without contract (so as to not promote any specific mobile carriers)
4. Any other problems to date so far based on whatever has been said/heard, unbiased facts.
Thanks man, appreciate the first Singapore review :)

Well, I think its a good news, especially for singtel user.
Even starhub's network received no much issue...

Shdnt hav used starhub as an example. Starhub's network reception isn't tt gd either. I personally prefer singtel

When u held it left handed, did you wait up to a min at least? (outdoor)
Please if u may, perform a drop call test indoor/outdoor.
Ur video would help alot of ppl living in Singapore decide on the phone.
