Any atheist who's up on their physics can answer the first question. Where did the first matter come from? Pure energy. Matter can form out of energy, and has been observed to appear literally out of nothing. They typically meet again, and cancel each other out (due to their opposing electrical charges)... However if this were to occur on the edge of a black hole, for example, it would be possible for those particles to never meet/cancel out. These eventually cooled to form atoms, and so on.
Most scientists believe the big bang was created by the explosion of a huge black hole. They believe we live in a multiverse, where universes are constantly being formed. Learn physics.
Also, here's somethin to think about. Most use the argument "The universe is SO complex that it HAD to have been created". So then, who created god? If the universe is SO complex that it HAD to be created - then that means god is equally/more complex than the universe, and as such, MUST have been created.

Dark matter is mathematically and physically, a fact, and it will always remain a theory until we are able to put dark matter in a test tube and study it under a microscope, which will never happen. The problem with his questions about "something coming from nothing" is that adding a creator into it doesn't actually solve the question, just move it back slightly. How could God come from nothing?
And, a way that something can come from nothing? 0=(+1)+(-1). So when the big bang happened an equal amount of antimatter to matter were brought into being.

Funny thing is; you don't have to accept everything came from nothing. If the big bang happened, then it was most likely a cycle of the universe. Also, everything CANNOT come from nothing, and everything has therefore existed since the beginning of time, which there is not beginning of time. Also, his god must have come from nothing, to create everything, or he created himself, which si a paradox.

Ignorance is never an excuse to fall back on superstitious explanations. At one time, theists were probably asking atheists: "well, how do you account for the sun? What caused the sun?" It HAD to be intelligent. It knew just how long to stay up and when to set, to stay warm, long enough for summer crops. The only explanation, of course, was that the sun was a God. What other explanation was there? You can rationalize and explain anything when you just say "the god's magic is responsible".

Not accepting evolution or other aspects of science as if "science" itself were a bad word is surely a sign either of low intelligence or impaired functioning in the real world. We would expect, given the way we know natural selection works, that such people will be slightly unfavored for survival relative to normal people. Therefore, we'd expect that in the long run, those people's genes will be gradually removed from the gene pool.

What you actually call 'nothingness' before the universe we know now is a fallacy. The state of 'nothingness' was actually a form of energy in perfect balance, unified and in harmony. Like white light not actually being white but in reality composed of all colours. If there is no limiting factor to kill certain traits off there is not any reason to adapt aka evolve. If the limiting factors are intense enough a species goes extinct, if they are not present at all the species reproduces with slower change. Also "less evolved" is subjective. make sense?

Any atheist who's up on their physics can answer the first question. Where did the first matter come from? Pure energy. Matter can form out of energy, and has been observed to appear literally out of nothing. They typically meet again, and cancel each other out (due to their opposing electrical charges)... However if this were to occur on the edge of a black hole, for example, it would be possible for those particles to never meet/cancel out. These eventually cooled to form atoms, and so on.

Also, here's somethin to think about. Most use the argument "The universe is SO complex that it HAD to have been created". So then, who created god? As a result they have a tendency to throw out or ignore things that don't concur with their presumption or make up far fetched explinations; i.e. multiverses; anti-matter, etc. Which takes just as much faith to even consider as does God.

Dark matter is mathematically and physically, a fact, and it will always remain a theory until we are able to put dark matter in a test tube and study it under a microscope, which will never happen. There is no faith, you hold it as truth until you or someone else finds a flaw with it. Which then we will begin the scientific method over again until we get it right

Over 400 papers that were printed in scienctific journals have been retracted so for this year. Of that, 44% were due to misconduct; ie flat our fabrication. And many of these articles are still cited in other papers w/o mention of their retractions. I don't believe in the purity of scientific research. Dark matter = inexplicable force.

I guess your next argument must be that I'm senile because I cannot see what you see. We are created and we have been given the tools to get the answers through the Studies in Science. @giovanone I not going to sit here and argue with someone who will simply not look at the evidence; I mean your "hours of research" were probably spent on phoney books written by christians who barely know anything about the field, for actual reliable evidence, I recommend "the greatest show on earth". Just go and ask any biologist with PhDs who have spent decades studying the subject. Fact: 99.9997% of biologists accept this theory, are you suggesting that they are all wrong?Show some respect!

Respond to this video... Now, do I believe that changes small changes occur within species or gene pools? Yes, I do. I just have not found sufficient 'REAL" evidence that demonstrates the origin of fundamentally new organisms. You keep talking about other people's findings. But, what do you find? This is a Science vs. Science argument. One topic, two different views and plenty of evidence to back each of them. Why won't they hear the Creation argument? Fear! Fear of change! MONEY!

Respond to this video... I'm referring to Christianity, Judaism, Islam. I have many professional colleagues that are laughing at you right now. You guys always say the same thing. "NO EVIDENCE" but when I ask you for evidence you say "this is a theory we believe is the most accurate" though much research is still needed to accentuate it. You don't have to accept a deity but you can't deny an implemented design and Creation based on common scientific, rationality.

What prophecies? Archeology prove the bible is a poor history book. Sciences like Geology proves there was no global flood and the earth is millions of years old.

@gregrutz How does Archeology prove it's a poor book? It's not History book either. It has 66 authors, that wrote about love, compassion, war, morals, ethics, worship, serving, honesty, greed, etc... It's a book of application. And, if you know your History and Archeology you know that most evidence was destroyed by the Roman Empire when they pillaged and destroy the land. Historians such as Flavious Josephus wrote about Jesus, though he didn't say he was God he affirms his existence.

Paleontology utilizes fossils for evidence and we know fossils are unreliable to trace that far in the past. Scientist know this and don't deny this. Which Mary are you talking about?

Just a theory....Do you ever wonder where all the remains of all these living beings are? I mean, millions of years of remains but we can't find them. Maybe a flood washed them off..haha!!!

@giovanone Yes they know they changed. How do you explain why different animals live at different times. They have lots of transitional fossils, you did not look very hard. Look at limestone, millions of remains over millions of years. Look at Microraptor, another dinosaur with feathers.

@gregrutz You're right, they do know they changed into other kinds of "Dinosaurs" or large Lizards since we know Lizards never stop growing. Imagine how big a 3000 year old lizard would be. Anyway..my point is that they see micro-evolution take place but not on the macro level where a dinosaur turned into another completely different species. We have only tapped into about 10% of all living species; how can we determine anything as concrete when we don't know for 'sure"?

Everything you think of as bird like, dinosaurs had: Feathers, hollow bones, oval eggs in nests, three forward toes, warm blood, etc. Birds are not a completely different kind of animal they are still dinosaurs. Dogs make dogs, apes make apes, that is why humans are still apes, still mammals and still tetrapods. You can't outgrow your ancestory.

Evolution is not a ladder. Fish did not go away because some of them evolved legs and walked on dry land. Humans, chimps, gorillas and orangatans are all classified as Primates, Great Apes. Why are apes still here, because they didn't go extinct like most things did.
Different species can't interbreed, they could at one time when they were the same, but species split into 2 different species. They can try, like a donkey

Respond to this video... Why have XY Chromosomes if we just evolve? I think you neglect to analyze natural selection which is a process of evolution right? Birds for example would probably all die if they had to wait for millions of years for their wings to come in. They would be at a disadvantage to their environment. The problem with his questions about "something coming from nothing" is that adding a creator into it doesn't actually solve the question, just move it back slightly. How could God come from nothing?
And, a way that something can come from nothing? 0=(+1)+(-1). So when the big bang happened an equal amount of antimatter to matter were brought into being.

Funny thing is; you don't have to accept everything came from nothing. If the big bang happened, then it was most likely a cycle of the universe. Also, everything CANNOT come from nothing, and everything has therefore existed since the beginning of time, which there is not beginning of time.
