Nice turns but IMO you're not bump skiing here. Your "stay low" stance, more from alpine school, won't work in bumps that are bigger, more skied out and faster. You'll get bounced around and have to bail. Also, this isn't the typical bumps run, looks more like bumps filled in with powder, then crudded up, a very different situation. So a bit of a misnomer to call this instructional video "bump technique". Maybe there is another lesson that does true bumps?
@skeetcouper Thank you for your IMO, comments. Those that have one without knowing what is happening, can easily be happy with their comments. Have fun your way, because you clearly have little to learn.
@skiwhh I don't know why some people bother to post their comments, when they don't understand what is happening in this video. It is a big bump run (maybe the video filming doesn't show that) it is on steeps and the point is to show bump techniques; so people can apply them in the real world. It's not a video to show the biggest bumps you can ski. I guess sometimes on teh internet, egos always over ride common sense.
Keep these great videos coming. I really appreciate the slow motion and the frame by frame sequences--makes it really easy to understand how the movements work together.
Bumps are one area where I feel my skiing has regressed with age, but after watching this, I'm kind of psyched about hitting some bump runs again, another excellent vid ..
I thought I had commented already... I must have done something wrong.
This is another great video. For those not familiar, I'd recommend watching the full series of these clips. It is spectacular skiing information available for free - and if you want more - you can actually get more! Nice work Harald.

As many people know this video is only a snap shot of our real program. Thank you for the great comments, I'll try to live up to them. Harald

No doubt, I will work on this method of bump skiing, looks like just skiing normal turns. Good for my knees.

Thanks Hippo,
This run is in Colorado, on a Double Black at Loveland, called Avalanche Bowl.

Viewing ths video should not be free. How many ski lessons would it take to get this info?
