I think the album is great love 95% of the song heard 4 beyonce good but didn't beat her last album which was her best. Kelly is shows progress is her work if she puts out more vidoes like beyonce which has over 5 videos. Wounder why? She married Jay Z who is a music producer her makes videos don't cost him shit really. So beyonce can take more risks if one don't hit hard she would throw a bunch more going crazy with it. But all in all Love thealbum hope she puts more videos a least 2 more lol
I'm disappointed because Kelly was taking risks at first, which I loved. Then she pushed the album back and played it COMPLETELY safe. I love Kelly, but "Here I Am" is 75% generic material. The sales prove that people don't want cookie-cutter r&b anymore. Sorry, but "4" is better.
oh and the reason her album isn't platinum is the for the same reason it took Beyonce over a month to go platinum... people steal music. Once kelly's releases her album world wide like Beyonce's, the numbers will tripple. All and all I love the album...

Beyonce has pretty strong technical ability so she aleays sounds at the very least decent live. All singers should sound good live even if they aren't "Celine Dions" etc.

Songs like I'm Dat Chick and Lay It on Me will do exceptionally well in Urban markets, Down for Whatever and Turn It Up will do well in the Pop/Dance markets. Feeling Me Right Now, All of the Night and Keep It Between Us will do great on R&B/Adult Contemporary charts and the only 2 songs that shouldn't be singles are Work It Man and Commander because Commander is old AF.
Kelly Rowland delivered a solid album IMNSHO. I'll give it a 3.5/5 or a B+. I'm Dat Chick, Lay It on Me, Commander, Turn It Up and Down for Whatever are all great club bangers and party songs, Feeling Me Right Now, Keep It Between Us and All of the Night are great as mid tempo/quiet storm ballads. Motivation is a great slow jam and Work It Man is a cool R&B jam. This album was made to create a fan base for Kelly. Most of the songs are radio friendly, so Kelly knows what she's doing.
We gave bey's album a chance, so why not give kelly's a chance. Bey fans were upset because they wanted dance music. Kelly has that and more. Some of her songs on the album are really good and sexy.
Kellys new album was made to build a fanbase. any song on that album could be made into a video! it's obvious that this album was made for her to able to release multipile single worthy songs. so if your looking for something deeper than this is not for you. kelly only has probly 3 or 4 solo singles in the US this album was made so she would be able to have songs to release and perform. it was a plan that her and her label came up with. anyone who cant see this are blind

Here I Am is Kelly's best album yet. However it is not the best RB album this year. Kelly has grown vocally, her voice sounds great. I like track #1,3,4,and 6. I love track # 8 and 11. I consider this album her first, because the other two was demos.
I personally bought the Here I Am album in its deluxe form & its friggin' awesome! I hate how ppl underestimate Kelly & not give her any credit but one day they'll learn. I try to promo this CD on Twitter as much as I can & I support the Kelly Rowland movement 100%.

I'm disappointed because Kelly was taking risks at first, which I loved. Then she pushed the album back and played it COMPLETELY safe. I love Kelly, but "Here I Am" is 75% generic material. The sales prove that people don't want cookie-cutter r&b anymore. Sorry, but "4" is better.

@gangstaladie Lipsyncing to a pre recorded track is LIPSYNCING. Kelly shouldn't have done it at BET. And Beyonce shouldn't have done it at BET.. PERIOD. Did they break an utimate sin? No, but they are professionals. I forgive both of them because so far I've only seen them do it once. Kelly killed on Jay Leno and she was live. Beyonce has pretty strong technical ability so she aleays sounds at the very least decent live. All singers should sound good live even if they aren't "Celine Dions" etc.

She needs to make a video for "I'm that chick" I would love to see her dance, and just kill the vocals. She is awesome. I'm also ready for "Lay it on me" she can go double platinum with this album. She is gorgeous, and I wish she and Trey were going on tour instead of her and Chris Brown. I just dont think thats a good fit. Songs like I'm Dat Chick and Lay It on Me will do exceptionally well in Urban markets, Down for Whatever and Turn It Up will do well in the Pop/Dance markets. Feeling Me Right Now, All of the Night and Keep It Between Us will do great on R&B/Adult Contemporary charts and the only 2 songs that shouldn't be singles are Work It Man and Commander because Commander is old AF.

Kelly Rowland delivered a solid album IMNSHO. I'll give it a 3.5/5 or a B+. I'm Dat Chick, Lay It on Me, Commander, Turn It Up and Down for Whatever are all great club bangers and party songs, Feeling Me Right Now, Keep It Between Us and All of the Night are great as mid tempo/quiet storm ballads. Motivation is a great slow jam and Work It Man is a cool R&B jam. This album was made to create a fan base for Kelly. Most of the songs are radio friendly, so Kelly knows what she's doing.

I'M MAD!!!! The f.y.e. music store on Broad and Chestnut in Philly was SOLD OUT yesterday of Here I Am!!!!!! Do you hear me? They were sold out by 4 p.m.! I asked how many they had in stock? The woman said 1,000. SAY WHAT!!!! I told her bitch you better have my damn Kelly Rowland CD by the time I get back here tomorrow-today!!!! Yep, they were SOLD OUT.

Lay It On Me - love the beat, summer jam no doubt, Heaven and Earth- I can really relate to the lyrics in this song. It got me all teary-eyed. :)

All I've heard is " she deserves this shine"...".the album is SOOO GOOD"..so I'm asking is the album good because she deserves this shine? or she deserves this shine so the album is automatically good?
People need to get out of that competition mode and review music for what it REALLY IS and not based off stanism, bitterness over break-ups(DC3), other peoples success, and all that unnecessary stuff,
If this is an R&B album then I'd def say fantasia last album was wayyyy better than this.

Here I Am is Kelly's best album yet. However it is not the best RB album this year. Kelly has grown vocally, her voice sounds great. I like track #1,3,4,and 6. I love track # 8 and 11. I consider this album her first, because the other two was demos.

I personally bought the Here I Am album in its deluxe form & its friggin' awesome! I hate how ppl underestimate Kelly & not give her any credit but one day they'll learn. I try to promo this CD on Twitter as much as I can & I support the Kelly Rowland movement 100%.
PS-I wish she would put out Lay It On Me already! Lol.

And I'm on YouTube constantly, trying to find old songs that i never heard of, even the underground. I have like 1000 songs on my iPod, and 3/4 is oldies. But i have 83 MJ songs. And 62 JJ songs. And alot of price. I love it, you struck a chord with that sentence Hun. And Beyonce is definitely overrated, thanks to Kanye ass kissing. and her dad paying off.

I have all of Kelly's albums and I think with each album she has shown growth. So with that being said, this is my favorite one. Love the entire album but my favorite tracks are Feeling Me Right Now and Keep It Between Us. I've been a die hard DC3/Kelly fan since day 1 and I am SOOOOO happy for her. *tear*

Truthfully I'm not feelin Kelly's album..too many cliched RnB tracks on there and her vocals are just flat...IMO her last album was better than this. But I do like her and I feel bad when people compare her to you-know-who...so I'm glad you guys are showing support regardless. I'll buy one or two tracks that I like off Itunes to show my support.
