  • you outdid Rare in the best graphics on N64. Well done.

  • I just want to understand something. The demoscene is about pushing hardware to its absolute limit, correct?

  • @pyromodder2 Some people make demos for breaking hardware limits, some do it for art, some do it for fun and some do it for no particular reason.

  • Where can we purchase this audio track?!

  • wow this is awesome, good job. too bad i do not have a flash cart or i would run it on my N64.

  • Amazing, brilliant, every other positive adjective I can think of! YOU WIN!

  • Said it once and I'll say it again. Excellent work. (though, whatever the N64 can do, the PS can do better - hehe)

  • the ps1 can't even do bilinar filtering, you fail.

  • @nooblet911 So. The PS1 has a GTE as well as a DDE all inside the CPU. All geometry on an N64 has to be modelled I think. However all geometry on a PS can be done using instructions sent to the CPU only... I dont know about the N64 as much as the PS. Marshall would know the N64 in and out 100%...

  • well in turbo3d mode n64 pushes about thrice the polygons the ps1 does. check it out on wikipedia if you don't believe me.

  • @nooblet911 Ah, but how many before the FPS drops and the system crashes?

  • aw N64 and C64 are friends!

  • Why can't I play this on a Emulator (I don't like emulators. I just don't have any peripheral to make it play on my N64, and I want to check it out).

  • what is the polycount the N64 can handle ?

  • oh, nice! guess i'll need to try this on my z64 =)

  • Loved the Amiga and Commodore demoscene reference in there. All the good shit in the computing world today came from the Amiga :)

  • @Harp00nX the boing ball and C= logos were my suggestion :) gotta give props to where it all started!

  • Aha.. sorry :-)

Demo scene began on the C64/Amiga platform you could say. Still lives on in some way or another, check out pouet.net

  • Incredible job - amazing what old hardware can do. We retire these units too quickly and needlessly throw kit into landfill sites. Madness.

  • This is so cool! What did the other 2 logos represent (the 2 besides the "N" logo)?

  • @Tchay777

    Your kidding us right?!

Red/white checkered ball is Amiga computer mascot.

The blue C= logo is the Commodore logo, they made the C64 and Amiga computer.

  • @cv643d I was born in 1991.

  • That's very cool!

Could you describe what tests exactly does it run before deciding to display "fail" in emulators?

  • downloadlink for the tune would be c00l...

  • @OnkelStarbuck tune is "Cornandbeans - Hollow Man". There is a vid here on youtube.

  • WOW!! That's cool!

    N64 Demos are pretty rare...

Have you coded this in assembly?

  • WOW, great job dude!

  • Love that very atmospheric opening.

  • epic!!

  • Badass. You win pom 2011.

  • @LaC64 thanks. I uploaded the rom file so you can try it on your v64jr

  • @marshallgs how come it says fail when we try to use it on an emulator? Emulators are legal, that's why they sell it in the Google App Store for the Android, but the games you illegally download that aren't yours is illegal.

  • @rjc0l3 Read the NFO that explains this

  • Amazing work marshallh! Keep it up!

  • Pretty fucking amazing. Great job on everything.

  • This rules so hard.

  • You are a genius.

    And I love you.

  • That is amazing Marshall. Amiga FTW!

  • The boingball was my idea lol. and yessss this demo rules lol

  • Damn, the beginning looks like it could have been implemented into a Survival Horror game... which the N64 kind of lacked a lot of unfortunately.
