  • This some NCAA road to Glory type shit Lol

  • can't wait to see him in that winged helmet

  • I can't wait to see this kid carry the rock for Michigan! GO BLUE!!!! BEAT O-LIE-O THIS YEAR!!

  • this kid is an animal! so much strength and power how much does he squat?

  • What a beast. He picked a high number for a running back, 38. Ya know hes got POWER with that number! I like to compare him to the A-Train.

    Go Blue!

  • the next mike hart!!!

  • @frezzyboy32gd Next Mark Ingram!!

  • Next Mark Ingram or Mike Hart....

  • HE REMINDS ME OF RONNIE BROWN OR MARK INGRAM.... MICHIGAN IS COMING IN WITH FREAK ATHLETES NOW

  • @babyjames221 gonna be a great player along with michigans other recruit, justice hayes

  • Just hope he can keep his grades up...I think he will though because he defiantly has a good motor and you can tell he really wants to be there. Michigan needs someone who wants to step up and be that go to player in the next couple years. I think he will be a good one though.... calling it now

  • Saw him play against Bay City Central... He defiantly has real potential. He'll fit in perfect at Michigan. Also gotta love the fact that he is already looking at some of the other UofM backs and trying to move up on that depth chart. At a time like this that is good thinking for him because other then Hopkins and sometimes Cox there is not much in the way of power in the backfield

  • This dude will start by his sophmore year unless we grab dunn or marshall

  • @TheGloveMI wouldnt it be great to grab both? That would be awesome.Thunder and lightning attack for sure. GO BLUE!!!!

  • LIL CUZ IM SO PROUD OF YOU STAY FOCUS AND DONT SETTLE FOR LESS THIS IS YOUR DREAM....MAKE IT A REALITY

  • runs like mike hart

  • OH my fault Mike Hart is a Beast thanks Hollywood for the info

  • Running back coach, Fred jackson has been at uofm for bout 20 years, and he seems to be excited as ever bout Rawls. this kid sounds hungry from his interview. He'll be a house hold name in no time. "Thomas the Train"

  • @molizard ...yea jackson is really hyping this kid up, i hope hes right, from watching video the kid looks for real, i hope its not decieving..i doubt he is he looks like hes going to be a load

  • This kid is good. His stiff arm is AWESOME. Good change of direction. Love the video at the 5:38 mark. LB has a free shot at him and he shrugs him off. Very excited to see this guy in Maize and Blue. Go Blue!!

  • Oh YEAH I love Ty Wheatley, but don't forget about the leading rusher in Michigan History THE A TRAIN Anthony Thomas GO BLUE

  • @dusty01wil Mike Hart Is The Leading Rusher In Michigan History

  • it doesnt even look like hes trying lol

  • Reminds me of Tyrone Wheatley. Hayes & Rawls. 2 great MI duos for A2.

  • He is a beast looking forward to seein him on saturdays

  • lmao @ 5:41 poor kid. This man looks like a pinball in most these. I cannot wait. THANK YOU COACH HOKE

  • Looks Like Mark Ingram To Me!

  • this guy is a beast......GO BLUE,screw dee hart

  • vgj

  • T Rawls welcome to the Maze and Blue baby.... hit that gym in the spring so D Robinson can be that real triple threat QB

  • Rawls was a "3-star", but Saginaw Valley Player of the Year. Arrnot (sp?) is a "4-star WR from Saginaw in the same conference......baburo

  • "Hail to the Victors"

  • Welcome to Michigan!!!!

Definitely looking forward to seeing those broken tackles in a maize and blue uniform.

  • The D Zone Sports yeahhh

  • Hoke's collecting good old 3 star crap now that's is be... well, you guest is, crap!

  • Definitely a traditional U-M powerback. He'll probably redshirt as a true freshman, but if he doesn't get into grade trouble, he could be the next Brandon Minor.

    Go Blue!

  • @Foole1Dan good lord i hope not, Minor was always injured!

  • @Brewhaman Minor was also the best power back Michigan has had since Chris Perry. Even if Rawls only gets like 90 carries per season as a sub, it'll be great as long as he averaged 5 YPC and scores close to 10 TD like Minor always did.

  • @Toole1Dan While I certainly agree Minor had a lot of talent, he was INJURED an awful lot to really be an effective RB for Michigan. Re-read my post, I wasn't saying anything that wasn't true.

That said, Rawls, IMO, is a great pick-up, just needs to put in the book work.

  • @Brewhaman I always wondered what kind of insane stats Brandon Minor could have put up if he could have stayed healthy a whole season. I mean he never played more than half a season and he would get like 700 yards and double digits touchdowns.

  • @maizenbluenation I dont like to dwell on it. It just reminds me how huge of a FAIL our backs been since Mike Hart left.Carlos Brown had his moments. As well as Minor, but overall they all fell MAD short of expectations that were set during their recruitment. Especially Kevin Grady.

  • @maizenbluenation makes 2 of us. I liked his head down, straight ahead style of play, just unfortunate he was injured a lot from that style.

Rawls should fit into what Hoke wants to do just fine.

  • @Brewhaman Have you seen the stats? Minor wasn't a 200 carry, 1000 yard back cause of some unfortunate injuries, but he still had over 90 carries in his final three seasons, averaged over 5 YPC in his final two, and scored or came close two 10 TD his final two seasons. If Rawls does that, we should be happy.

  • @Poole1Dan ...i hope not like minor, that he would be injury prone..now if you say tyrone wheatly..that would be awesome, but i doubt he'll be like wheatly, but u neve rknow

  • @menttor615 I hope he's not injury prone either, but you can't deny that they are similar TB: highly productive, same running styles, similar size. Minor was much more talented coming out of HS, but still, I see alot of Minor in Rawls, and that's a good thing

  • @Poole1Dan ..if hes a brandon minor without getting hurt..i'll defintly take that..and also i wouldnt count out justice hayes, i also like stephen hopkins..hes a big back

  • @menttor615 agreed. Hayes has got exciting quickness, and Hopkins is a moose. But I'd actually like to see Fitzgerald Toussaint be the starter. Dude was a 4 star, top 250 recruit with gaudy stats and McGuffie like highlight tapes. He's got very good size (5'10, 202), is amazingly quick, and has great speed. He just needs to stay healthy and he can be the next Tyrone Wheatley. No joke.

  • @Poole1Dan ...fitz toussaint is another i'd love to see back there, theyre loaded at rb..i wish we we're loaded at the oline and d-line like we are at rb, lol..but i am excited for next season and seasons to come

    GO BLUE

  • @menttor615 I've got to think some tailbacks might transfer though. Not to be pessimistic, but out of 8 scholarship tailbacks, only one of them is gonig to be a senior (Shaw) while most of them haven't taken a redshirt. For example, I can see Smith and Teric Jones bolting for greener pastures if they get buried on the depth chart, not only cause they are Juniors who can take a redshirt, but because they are tiny scatbacks who don't fit the mold of what Brady Hoke wants in a TB.

  • @Poole1Dan ..i agree look for that to happen..theyre loaded at the rb position, jones might get tried on defense

  • @menttor615 we're definitely loaded in terms of depth, if not top flight talent (most of the tailbacks were pedestrian 3 star recruits coming out of HS). Also, I'd rather not see Teric Jones on defense again. Not after the way he played at CB against Delaware State two years ago. Maybe he'd be better cause he's a Junior now, but I think Jones belongs on offense. He could contribute as a return specialist. He's got good speed and quickness.

  • @Poole1Dan ...awesome point dan, we'll see what happens..i'm excited about the up and coming season

  • @menttor615 What do you think will be our record this season? I ain't making any predictions until a week before the season starts, but looking at the schedule, 5 games are likely wins (Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, SDSU, Minnesota, and Purdue), and 6 are tossups (Notre Dame, Northwestern, Michigan State, Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska). Only Ohio State seems to be a likely loss (ugh; 8 straight!). That's a rediculously easy schedule.

  • @Poole1Dan san diego state a likely win?? did you watch them play in their bowl game this year. they are beast. that will be a tough game to win, definitely not an easy one. i see us winning about 8 this year.

  • @btrawlin ..8 is likly and outta the 1st 5 games sdsu and nd are the toughest ones..is going to be interestin watching hoke and his old team battle, bcz they know how he coaches and they know what offense and plays he'll run vice versa..it should be a good game

  • @btrawlin I say SDSU is a likely win because:

    1. They don't have Hoke anymore, and he's the only head coach to do anything good for the Aztecs in the last decade. Chuck Long was one of the hottest coordinators on the market when he took the job, and even he failed there.

    2. The game is at the Big House, which even after the last 3 years still means alot

    3. SDSU is a Mountain West team with only 5 returninf starters on defense going up against a Big Ten team with everybody back on O.

  • @Poole1Dan ...funny you ask that question, i'm a subscriber of rivals so i'm always on the wolverine checking out on upcoming news and whats going on, so the other day i asked the message board the same question and some answers would of shocked you, some guys replied back with 10 wins, lol..i say 8 possibly 9, dont be shocked if we beat osu , hokes 1st year..it really wouldnt suprise me..although thats theyre toughest game, i'm anxious to see how they play under the new system

  • @menttor615 Nice. I'm not a subscriber toTheWolverine, but I do click on the site everyday and read whatever football and basketball info is available to everyone (especially the daily newstands, which are really cool). 10-2 is definitely an optimistic prediction right now, but the schedule is easy enough for that to happen.

  • @Poole1Dan ..i think the ball is gotta bounce are way for that too happen 10-2 is a long shot in my book but its a possibility only bcz theres experiance on both sides of the ball..we all know our defense should be better, heck it cant get any worse, lol..but i expect a big big improvement

  • @menttor615 The Game can never be marked down as a guaranteed loss, but on paper, it does seem like we won't beat them. At least it's at the Big House, where the games have been much closer. We would have beaten them two seasons ago with a True Freshmen QB if it wasn't for turnovers.

As for the new system, I really hope to see a Spread HD, which worked perfectly for Penn State under Darryl Clark and Michael Robinson. But an Andy Reid-type prostyle would be good as well.

  • @Poole1Dan ..i'll settle with a andy reid type offense allday long..just wait and see when he gets his 3 yr recruiting in and we're going to see a whole different look, maybe not a whole differnt look but it will be prostyle, right now we have denard and theyre going to utilize denard in differnt ways, i dnt think denard is a micheal vick but like u said we might see a andy reid offense in some ways, but once its all said and done, we'll see old michigan back, run the ball down your throat

  • @menttor615 I don't think Denard is Michael Vick either, but I don't want Borges to force Denard to drop back and sling it 30 times a game. That's like making Steven Threet run the triple option (ugh). The Spread HD would be ideal because the read option play is still a threat, but as long as Borges runs a prostyle offense that fits Denards skillset (and offenses like that are put there, as Reid has proven for 10 years in Philadelphia), I'll be happy.

  • @Poole1Dan ...i dont think borges is going to let him throw 30 times a game, but his going to do whatever it takes not to put him in injury situations and thats running the ball alot, we're not gonna see denard run too much

im anxious to see the spring game

  • @menttor615 TheWolverine had an interesting article about Denard adapting to the prostyle offense the same way Tyrod Taylor did at Virginia Tech. I'm sure you read it. 50-100 carries is about what Denard should have.

Also, I really hope they don't charge us for the spring game. I went to my first ever spring game last year with my dad and had a great experience watching Denard go ham on everyone. If they charge people to attend, I guarantee you ha;f of us won't show up.

  • @Poole1Dan ..yes i did read that article and if he turns out like tyrod taylor, i'll take it..and i agree i hope they dont charge for the spring game its enough alot of people are hurting job wise in the country and especially the state of michigan, another thing i want to mention..i love the fact that hes going all out on in state recruiting..this godin kid looks like he'll fit in just perfect plus his dad went to michigan..i cant wait to see how the 2012 class is going to look

  • He officially commited 5 minutes ago at his presser! Welcome to the family! We love having a nice power back, especially one with some pretty nice speed!

    Go Blue!

  • Go Blue! I wish you the best at your future career at Michigan....don't let anybody define you...handle your business!

  • Solid player. Decent vision; cuts confidently behind blocks. Sometimes cuts too hard against the grain...works in high school, not in college. He'll learn. Unafraid of contact, decent hands out of the backfield, and rather zippy for a guy his size. Notice that his team blocks very, very well...he'll have to learn to not try too hard to make something out of nothing.

    HALFBACK PASS.

  • His grades were a lil shakey. I've heard the level of football competiton in the State of Michigan is pretty weak as well. He looks like a beast and I hope he fills the void left by Dee Hart. Like westonsz said, Rawls and Hopkins in the backfield with DRob and DCs are going to have nightmares preparing for UM.

  • @SwadeLover

Michigan isn't known as a gold mine, but we usually produce several bluechip players, mostly from the southeastern part. Flint, where Rawls hails from, also produced Mark Ingram.

  • @SwadeLover ...dont count out justice hayes

  • Not sure how hes only listed as a 3-star. Looks physically impressive to me.

    Go Blue!

  • Can't wait till we can line Rawls and Hopkins up against MSU and Wisconsin and get physical!

  • Rawls got his Michigan offer!!!!

  • GOBLUE!!!!!

  • Hearing grades are the ONLY issue with this fine RB. My hopes are that he gets those grades up and is in a winged helmet this summer!

    Love his aggression out there!

    ~GO BLUE!!

  • Michigan need to quit shuling they feet and grab this cat very underratted

  • GO BLUE!!!!!

  • Hope to see you wearing the winged helmet this fall!!

    GO BLUE!

  • I really hope Rawls shows determination by getting his grades on track. Would love to see him in maize and blue. Imagine the running lanes T.Rawls and D.Robinson would open for each other as a running duo. GO BLUE!

  • He looks like a Michigan Back.. GO BLUE

  • please qualify please qualify

  • GOOOO BLLLLUUUE!!!!

  • Good work!!! Keep it up!!!!

  • Get ya grades together son..come play in da Big House..

  • GO BLUE!!!

  • GO BLUE!!
