I think even in this interview you can start to notice the early signs of his parkinsons disease. He is a lot slower in his talking and thinking, he stumbles every now and again and slurs his words slightly. Of course a lot of people stumble like this when they talk, but Ali never usually did.
this is my all time favourite interview of Ali! I am proud to call myself a muslim when i hear him preach about islam. God bless him, truley the greatest man.
Don't agree with everything he said, but he made some points that I believe are important and true. And he was right about what would happen to boxing after he retired.
This is awesome!!!!! Such a shame that there has been a bit of a backlash against Ali of late with recent Frazier documentaries (i.e. Ali's taunting of Frazier). While he had his faults and was out of order with Frazier, Ali is really a beautiful soul and a sage in my eyes. The way he has dealt with his illness and given to others has redeemed all his faults and people SHOULD bow to this man!
@starginsky I have to agree with you here mate... especially about the frazier bit. I know they had an intense rivalry but ali should have put an end to it. What bothers me even now is how the media got soo carried away with ali and actually enjoyed his taunting of frazier. For me to this day frazier is an all time great. I know ali is up there too and I love ali for how he revolutionized the civil rights movement although much of it indirectly.
heaven waits you.. ali

The soul of boxing died when Ali retired. I cant get my head around why he didn't retire when he said he was going to.
