Pineda never claimed he's better than Steve Perry. In fact, he said that Steve is one of his favorite singers. Journey still exists because fans love their songs. If you're still comparing voices of their leading singers, you're in a wrong business.

I'm not going to say that Pineda sucks, but for anyone who can appreciate music, it's undeniable that Steve Perry has a much stronger voice. His voice is totally unique...that 'raspy, high' voice....priceless. Pineda can hit high notes, but there is nothing special about his voice that a great karaoke singer couldn't do.
