Same situation as Vardanian's "almost" 230. Both lifts could have been made had they been taken as 2nd attempts. Doing a limit lift after energy depletion has occurred is asking for three reds.
This is the 200th weightlifting video I've added to my weightlifting playlist. Come see it. It's all the best lifts from world class lifters. No ameture stuff allowed on my playlist.
Does anyone know the name of the Soviet massage therapist on the footage? He wears the yellow Eleiko t-shirt while assisting Kuznetsov. I do remember him working with Team USSR in the 1980s but fail to remember his name. Thanks.
Thank you very much for posting Kuznetsov's videos. I loved the Soviet participation in Seoul olympics. Mirzoyan, Militosyan, Arsamakov, Khrapaty, Mukhamediarov, Kuznetsov, Zakharevich and Kurlovich were the strongest team in those olympics. Unfortunately, Popov didn't win any medal in 110kg weigh division. Please, post more videos. I would like very much to see the strong Soviet Team competing in 1976 olympics.
Andor Szanyi tested positive for the same drug Johnson was using—stanozolol.
