So....thats not a complete Exhibition, didnt even show the potential of his RSF (Run Stop Fierce), his forward M. Kick, his air grab, i DID NOT SEE ANY TOSTADA PRESSES!!, and no Ultra 2...i understand the title is SF4 not SSf4 but even so didnt he have an air ultra 2? never bothered with SF4 but dabbled in SSF4 i find this a bit odd, i thought this was a short combo vid -,-
El fuerte is mexican, so why did they name his moves with mexican food names. They should named his moves like, "El martinete" "La hurracarrana" those are lucha libre moves.
nah african americans are, you say the word "black" in a sentence and they start spewing out "cracker" "spic", and the only things they say in a argument are "you dont know me" and "because im black?"
Well... I see it this way.. El fuerte is from mexico so he's "lucha libre", zangief from Russia however he's from wrestling so, basically both styles are the same just the name changes in the translation... I'm not a lucha libre or wrestling fan but I've noticed both are fake and in both each fighter it has his own made-up persona... like nacho libre, lol the undertaker, the rock, etc etc.
for something to be fake, it first has to be declared true, so ur wrong. Lucha libre and wresting are the same thing just said in diferent languages, its all entertaiment man, just enjoy it if you like it and if you dont then why even bother comenting if you think its bs or fake? I Think i made my point.
Really? That's good to know. I would've thought that most Mexicans would *dislike* him. Since all his moves are named after Mexican food, I almost see him as being kind of a patronizing stereotype. I mean, I know he's a chef, but there's more to Mexican culture than fajitas and habaneros, Capcom! XD
Well i wish T.hawk and dee jay were in this game but T.hawk is still mexican cuz he was born in mexico, besides he is just a video game character he ain't real.
and just another random note Hawks original name was gonna be geronimo but they changed it because they found it to be racialy offensive.....well then what the hell were they thinking when they made El Fuertes movelist

Im Mexican and proud of it and I am so glad that finally a character with the fighting style "Lucha Libre" originated in Mexico has finally made it in my favorite fighting game of all time!
Super Dynamic Cooking Time!!!
I play El Fuerte and I love him, his style and mind games keep the opponent guessing where they should block next not to mention his over the top throws made for those who like to focus attack the tostada press and the habanero dash slide.
Actually we the mexicans loved the character; we are proud of most of the mexican characters as Amingo (Marvel vs capcom 2), Don Tacos (Pang 3), Cormano (Sunset Riders), Ramon (The king of fighters), Ángel (The king of fighters) Tizoc "the Griffon" (Garou), Pepe (Rage of the dragons), Urien (Street Fighter III).
I didn't. The fact is that Tekken is not too popular in our country. The one that I forgot it was El Stingray, from Ring of destruction; he was acclaimed by mexican gamers. And Astro/Scorpion too; even he is not mexican in the game, he is based upon Tinieblas, a famous Mexican wrestler.
The character can give you an idea of how are the people of your country percieved and valued in foreign countries. And I love how they paint mexican fighters =)
I agree and disagree at the same time.. cuz remember that, it is a game... so they can be all cool characters but again they're fictional.. no matter how cool or how lame a character could be... that wouldn't reflect the reality of how the people of its country really are... then you're saying mexican chefs or food are bad... according to what the street fighter game shows in the intros and endings. but they just do it to add some fun stuff to the game.
That's the thing got me confused..how come urien in SF III Giant Impact... has no mexican flag... I don't remember which flag it is.. but is not the mexican flag.. however they changed it to the mexican flag in 3rd strike.
As I told, mexicans are proud of their culture and presence in the world, even if it's a fictional one. And mexican players love to kick asses with mexican fighters, we have not doubt. I think korean and thailandian players are proud too, because their sports represent well their countries, but Mexican wrestling is recognized as the best in the world (i'm not too convinced in that), a cultural phenomenon, but beyond that, there are diverse fighting styles for mexicans in videogames.
yeah, everybody is proud of their own culture and presence around the world. but i guess my point of view is a little bit difference. anyways... so far the only two mexican characters i know are El fuerte and T. Hawk and i think both are freaking bad ass... I was expecting T. Hawk in SF IV, i got really disappointed in that
You forgot... T.HAWK from New Challengers... I think he's a bad ass fighter.. I hope they add him back in future street fighters editions... and also I hope they add some of the SF III characters too, like yun and yang, GILL! Makoto, Ibuki, Oro... Hugo.. mmmm kind of lame Twelve.. is lame too... Necro.. he's a bad ass too!!
T. Hawk, by the way, was never assumed by mexicans as a mexican character, mainly because its look (it looks like a native american) and its name; and it's an uninteresting character. Urien is not mexican but he represents the american stage in III Strike (maybe he was on travel), but actually he passes as a mexican character (by his look and name -it resembles "Uriel", a non-uncommon name for mexicans). Actually, he's maybe egiptian or greek.
If anything El Fuerte is El Stingray from Saturday Night Slam Masters. They both share the same moves except El Fuerte doesn't have El Stinray's Jalapeno Comet attack.
that blue haired girl is only the most badass female king of fighters character known as the awesome kula!! kula ftw!! my best kof character i own with her!!!! 10/10

T. Hawk was technically Native American, residing in Mexico. El Fuerte appears to really BE Mexican, though.
MisterOwl75 3 years ago 2
Um Mexicans are present day Native Americans from Mexico they just have a different culture.

Actually street fighter 2 was a "collection of racial stereotypes"
japan=karate=karategi or sumo+kabuki
U.S.A. land of blonde muscular soldiers, ugly niggas,
india: they do strange stuff, there
Brasil: ever heard about a thing called "soap"?
Russia: guys 7 foot tall that wrestle bears for fun.
ecc. ecc.

May i ask you what do you think about "Skullomania" ?
maybe was going to be a good idea to call him with a name a little more mexican... maybe "Calaveras"

beside... the dresses of "vulcano rosso"... i think if someone dresses like this in italy he would be jailed in a mental hospital.
