They *always* leave packages at the door, whether someone is home and literally on the way to answer the door or not at home to get the package...and did I mention that this is a 100 unit apartment building, where anyone could pick up a package or letter and walk off with it? And no, I did not authorize leaving a package behind. Is FedEx too stupid to train its delivery people to leave a delivery slip behind, or wait thirty seconds for a person to get the door?!? Come on!

I do not approve of throwing these packages. In reality your purchase takes one heck of a beating that you never get to see. You don't see what the freight goes through while on the long haul tractor trailers between destination terminals. Just one bump on the interstate highway can deliver much more shock to your package than one of these throws. Stick the video camera inside a trailer and see for yourself. For this reason electronics are drop tested in their packaging.

FedEx damaged 16 out of 23 products deliver to the same location. FedEx sent the damaged reports that are copy and pasted same damaged report to all 15 other damages products with the only different are tracking number. If you go to FedexShippingS uck.com, you can see those products are not damaged the same way. They also stated that my products are hazarded and trashed it. FedEx is hiding the evidence of their careless handling when shipping and find ways to avoid taking responsibility
I just lost a package delivered by FedEx. The deliver man even did not bother to ring the door bell, just left the package there silently, and the package was finally lost.

BS, if you ever seen some of these boxes, about 40-50% of the boxes are empty weighin as mush as an empty cardboard box can weigh. They are pre-shipping boxes.
My USPS mailman walks across my lawn, breaking my flowers, delivers my mail after 6pm daily and they couldn't care less. Matter of fact, when I complained, they acted indifferent and told me they TELL THEM to walk across the lawn.
@BestMusicExpert If fact, we are required to walk across the lawn when it is the shortest route to deliver. We can be reprimanded for "time wasting practices" if we don't. You can avoid this by setting up a curbside box, forwarding your mail to a PO box, or writing a letter to your city's postmaster asking that your lawn not be crossed so he can make that decision. As for the 6PM delivery, you must be at the end of the route. We don't work half days and someone must be last.
@tankboy2adfwd I already wrote the letter, they have a note not to do that. But they still do. It is rude as all hell to walk across someones lawn. After all this is the same group of people who'll refuse to deliver your mail if you don't salt/shovel your walk, then trudge thru the snow. I cannot move my box according to my town. As for the lateness, We used to get 930am, then 130pm, then back to 10am or so. 6pm is unheard of and they need to hire more people or start a little earlier.
And good luck trying to get them to pay an insurance claim. I've had more than one item that I shipped get broken and they fight you tooth and nail until they finally tell you that you won't get paid. I ship almost exclusively with the US Postal Service. I've received some very delicate items that got broken and they don't bust your balls to get paid.

Though FedEx is the competition, I feel safe in saying that tossing a package like that is not standard practice. My friend, I can see you are very negatively biased against FedEx, so I'm sure nothing I can say will change your mind. You obviously had a bad experience and have your mind made up. But most FedEx packages are NOT delivered by USPS, but by FedEx couriers. Perhaps you live in an area where FedEx does hand off to USPS for delivery. Regardless, FedEx service is just as good as UPS, better to some destinations, worse to others, but comparable in total.

Most of the time, when your FedEx package gets to you, it's not handed to you by a FedEx guy, but by your local mailman, via so-called 'SmartMail'. Look it up! @SenorSpode i'll vouch for their speed. i my crappy board died and killed the memory with it (everything else suvived. they were both shipped the same day. the memory was through usps and the board via fedex. they both are/were ca bound. the memory is in the state already while the fedex box is in ohio like an hour awy from my home address. i know they don't make special trip for one customer but come on. i woulda used usps but the fedex was a prepaid shipping label, so it was free to me.
@blueovalfan23 A free label's a free label, definitely use it. What really blows is that FedEx and DHL make extensive use of the USPS system, under contract. Friends of mine who work in the PS system say that the USPS actually loses some money on that arrangement and the liability for shipping damage ends up falling on USPS, not FedEx or DHL. That's why I use USPS or UPS. Nothing else.

Fedex ground isn't Fedex. People tend to confuse fedex ground and fedex express. Fedex Express is the "better" service, fedex ground is just a contractor company.
Long story short . Fed Ex ground is the greediest co in the world. Those 2 knuckleheads r making bout 9bucks an hour, no benefits, 12hr days, If they dont deliver that package their boss (the contractor through fdxg) doesnt make his 1.30 per stop and his 0.26 per package. Managment gets all up on them y they didnt deliv. They go 2 about 150 stops a day. 151 if they dont get rid of that 1

FedEx damaged 16 out of 23 products deliver to the same location. FedEx sent the damaged reports that are copy and pasted same damaged report to all 15 other damages products with the only different are tracking number. If you go to FedexShippingS uck.com, you can see those products are not damaged the same way. They also stated that my products are hazarded and trashed it. FedEx is hiding the evidence of their careless handling when shipping and find ways to avoid taking responsibility

I just lost a package delivered by FedEx. The deliver man even did not bother to ring the door bell, just left the package there silently, and the package was finally lost.

@onlinewatcher1000 Perhaps you should have been on the lookout for it or asked to have it held at a local FedEx location. If the package doesn't require a signature, the driver leaves it at the originally intended location. People steal packages all the time, dude, don't blame it on the driver.

@BestMusicExpert If fact, we are required to walk across the lawn when it is the shortest route to deliver. We can be reprimanded for "time wasting practices" if we don't. You can avoid this by setting up a curbside box, forwarding your mail to a PO box, or writing a letter to your city's postmaster asking that your lawn not be crossed so he can make that decision. As for the 6PM delivery, you must be at the end of the route. We don't work half days and someone must be last.

After all this is the same group of people who'll refuse to deliver your mail if you don't salt/shovel your walk, then trudge thru the snow. I cannot move my box according to my town. As for the lateness, We used to get 930am, then 130pm, then back to 10am or so. 6pm is unheard of and they need to hire more people or start a little earlier.

And good luck trying to get them to pay an insurance claim. I've had more than one item that I shipped get broken and they fight you tooth and nail until they finally tell you that you won't get paid. I ship almost exclusively with the US Postal Service. I've received some very delicate items that got broken and they don't bust your balls to get paid.

I don't get it! I thought a signature is required for packages over a certain "value". I have a cellphone on the way and I've been using FedEx tracker. I deliver packages for UPS and you didnt note that your package was damaged or anything. A bundle of paperclips could be in there or a million dollar diamond. we dont know whats in the packages so you assuming we would know that your precious iphone was in the box doesnt matter. also, if you expected it to be coming then why not ask for it to be brought back to the facility for you to pick it up. you seem so worried that its $400 so why not pick it up yourself.

My friend, I can see you are very negatively biased against FedEx, so I'm sure nothing I can say will change your mind. You obviously had a bad experience and have your mind made up. But most FedEx packages are NOT delivered by USPS, but by FedEx couriers. Perhaps you live in an area where FedEx does hand off to USPS for delivery. Regardless, FedEx service is just as good as UPS, better to some destinations, worse to others, but comparable in total.

Most of the time, when your FedEx package gets to you, it's not handed to you by a FedEx guy, but by your local mailman, via so-called 'SmartMail'. Look it up! That's why I only do business with entities that use UPS or just USPS alone. Plus, FedEx is slower than a senator signing a bill that provides no kickbacks to him/her.

@SenorSpode i'll vouch for their speed. i my crappy board died and killed the memory with it (everything else suvived. they were both shipped the same day. the memory was through usps and the board via fedex. they both are/were ca bound. the memory is in the state already while the fedex box is in ohio like an hour awy from my home address. i know they don't make special trip for one customer but come on. i woulda used usps but the fedex was a prepaid shipping label, so it was free to me.

Friends of mine who work in the PS system say that the USPS actually loses some money on that arrangement and the liability for shipping damage ends up falling on USPS, not FedEx or DHL. That's why I use USPS or UPS. Nothing else.

Long story short . Fed Ex ground is the greediest co in the world. Those 2 knuckleheads r making bout 9bucks an hour, no benefits, 12hr days, If they dont deliver that package their boss (the contractor through fdxg) doesnt make his 1.30 per stop and his 0.26 per package. Managment gets all up on them y they didnt deliv. They go 2 about 150 stops a day. 151 if they dont get rid of that 1
