I'm liberal democrat and I have to say that I still like Mitt Romney very much and I can't believe the GOP didn't elect him their candidate. He would have been the obvious candidate hadn't he been a mormon.

His economic experience is far greater than any other 2008 presidential candidate, and he has the charisma that could match Obama's.

Having that said I favour Obama (I'm a democrat after all) but if there is any Republican that could make me go conservative it would be Romney.

I would have to agree that Romney would have been a great president if he had the Republican bid. But the Rep. didn't want a member of the LDS church run against an African American because the the chruch didnt let blacks have the priesthood until the 1960's.
