I believe that the old LTV lines through Northern Minnesota were bought by the Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range about ten years ago and that DM&IR successor Canadian National currently owns the trackage. The track are still there, although I'm not sure if they're still being used.
@dumbasscracker I'm not sure, but I think I heard something about them needing permits to start mining in new areas! They couldn't get the permits, and the ore that was left, was low grade. So they shut it down. There has been rummors of it being sold, and reopenned, an rummors of CN using the dock. But nothing has ever happened that I'm aware...

Serial # 21608, order #5625, Startedas an EMD demo unit #5626, to SP #7235, renumbered by SP #4085, renumbered by SP again #4117, then to LTV #4206. Your not kidding!!! Anything to save these old beauties! I had the chance to get one of the old B&O CPL signals from CSX when they replaced them all on the Keystone & Pittsburgh sub past my house. I completely restored it, and got it set up in my yard. I am sure happy I got the chance to save one. The railroad was cutting them all up, and throwing them in dumpster. That wasn't a GP20 it is a non-turbo unit. Looks like a chop-nose GP9

I need to talk to someone at CSX & get ahold of the C&O signals here. They're finishing replacing them with new signals. :(

@1jackdk The Lake Superior Railroad Museum has F9A 4211 and F9B 4222. 4211 is getting newer skin.
