  • What's that song called at the end of the video? I know it was in kill bill, but there's a rap song out there with that beat, anyone know what it is?

  • is this game coming out for the wii also? please may it come out cause i dont have a xbox 360 or a ps3

  • i suggest u buy a 360 or ps3 then. none of the really good games come out for wii

  • Beatmania>>Scratch>>DJ Hero

  • Its too bad this only coming out for PS3 because I only have a PS2 And I don't plan on buying a game console just for this game.

  • if you say ps3 only then why are they using a 360 controller? FAIL

  • It's coming for both PS3 and Xbox 360.

  • its also comming out on 360, not just the PS3

  • yea this looks better than dj hero because of the controller

  • anyways.. they are all fake/simluations

the two NAmerican games promote.... "be the best dj out there".. but they are nothing close to being an actual DJ, which takes a goood ear for music

I play beatmania for the music experience. I dont expect to be an actual DJ from playing it.. although I make music on the side and etc.

  • this is way better than dj hero

  • personaly...i think it looks garbage compared to dj hero...doesnt even have a cross fader!

  • this looks better than dj hero and dj hero is gonna be 90 pound where as this is only 40 pound that amazin

  • Dj Hero and Scratch seem like two pretty different games. Scratch seems to be more of a simulation game focusing on hip hop, whereas Dj Hero is more of an arcade game centering on remixes and a variety of genres. Either way, I'd really like to play both cos they both look pretty fun for what they are.

  • Hurray someone on the comments that has a fair and balanced opinion on the two games :D

  • How come this and dj hero aren't vinyl sized? Ive never used a cdj will it be hard to use for people who are used to vinyl?

  • i'm getting this, i have a real dj system, and i am more excited about this, probably because drummers and guitarists, have had their fun , now, as dj's it's our turn, and other than coordinating the controls, im sure we'll be sick at it in a day....

  • Wouldnt you just rather DJ for real?

I dont see guitar players lining up to play guitar hero

  • yea, dj hero looks gay, theres no buttons on my records when i scratch

  • im getting this game its way better than dj hero

  • Scratch all the way.

  • I am soooooooo happy this game is gonna come out. Its about time they had a hip-hop version of guitar hero and rockband, which I've always wanted. There are only a few really good rock songs, while there are several good hip-hop and R&B songs. Im definately getting this game.

  • No offense to anyone who likes this game, but, after some recent gameplay footage of DJ Hero, I don't think this game is going to do as well. I don't think it's a bad game, I just think that DJ Hero will be better.

  • I dont think so, first of all DJ hero may have the mainstreem hype, but if you are a real Hiphoper who lives the Hiphop culture, then u will support the underground, becuz scratch is supported by the streets, and it pays homage to real Turntabalist, unlike DJ hero, scratch teaches new comers that Turntableism is a HIphop cultural art form, we started the scratching, needle drops, mixing, and all that stuff, before Hiphop culture came along, all a DJ could do is press play, so this is 4 the real.

  • no need to leave me a whole internet novel! Making your argument can't, and won't, change my opnion. I don't play Guitar Hero to actually simulate playing guitar, I just play it to have fun. LIkewise, DJ Hero, in my mind, looks more fun than Scratch. Second, you're basically preaching about Scratch, as though gaming is some kind of religion, which I honestly find to be both sad, and hilarious! Like I said, you can't change my mind, nor will I try to change yours. Just don't go overboard.

  • wow if activision bought the rights to this turntable, my Christmas this year would be sooo much better.

  • CORRECTION: DJ Hero plays way better.

  • how do u know? have u played it? 1st of all im a real Turntabalist, i live the hiphop culture, i was brought up in the Boogie Down BRONX!! any real Hiphoper will tell u that Scratch is the way to go. besides, they have Numark backing them, thats a real technology company that makes real DJ equipment, if u want to DJ get DJ hero, if u want to be a Turntablist, get Scratch. support underground, do ur homework on Hiphop culture. fuck DJ hero!! support real Hiphop!!

  • i agree with u mate on scratch mate dj hero is crap and all u do is spin a turn table with 3 buttons

  • Numark, you guys are awesome for helping out with this game

day 1 purchase for sure from me

  • crazy if can put ur own song in thegame

  • the controller looks like it could be made into a midi controller.

  • @ Numark, you should of made the crossfader slide, IMO, for DJs who are used to those crossfaders. Making a stationary crossfader, feels like a transformer switch.

  • lol wow people actually say this is gonna be better? after seeing gameplay graphics periphial design from both upcoming dj games scratch is nowhere near the level of dj hero

  • people hate on the graphics, but i like them, they remind me of Jet set radio future on the Xbox, can't wait for this game!

  • looks really good. I wish the controller wasn't grey though. Looks like it's going to age badly...like how we look back on old controllers now...

  • seriously this would be so much better without the drum pads, its like guitar hero without strumming, if it was just scratching every scratch dj would buy one, but because you can only scratch on portions its just a GH KNOCK OFF... FAIL numark for adding shit to your decks

  • The Akai Pro MPC is the most iconic beat production tool in the world. We chose to add MPC pads to give you the best of both worlds. The game doesn't penalize you for freestyle scratching, in fact it rewards you. Far form a GH knock off, its designed for a wide audience, without sacrificing the music experience. For many, this may be the first time someone has ever scratched or made beats on anything, and it's authentic to the real experience in a way some music games are not.

  • Yes, but realize the game is called SCRATCH: ultimate dj which would lead a person to believe the gamer could scratch at will, not in specific areas for 10 seconds. In the industry of scratching the only tools used by such famous scratchers as DJ Qbert, are turntables and a mixer, not a beat pad. So in a sense the game strays from its original intent to make the gamer a scratch dj, for the compromise of wanting to broaden the horizon of how unrelated music is made. It strays from the concept

  • Are you stupid?

"The game doesn't penalize you for freestyle scratching, in fact it rewards you"

YOU CAN SCRATCH WHENEVER YOU WANT!!!

  • i didn't say it penalizes you, read, did i. If i didn't have to press the notes (gh much) then it would be awesome, so i could just scratch. Is it so hard to just make a scratching game strictly for scratching? if the game had a different title i could understand, but since its called SCRATCH: ultimate dj, one would assume this is a scratching game with perhaps some beat juggling, but nope its GH with some scratching in it.

  • "i didn't say it penalizes you, read, did i."

I never said you did, I was quoting NumarkVideo hence the quotations, but you're missing the point. You can scratch as much as you want whenever you want (the point and purpose of the "it doesn't penalize you" quote), the stage demo at E3 even proved you don't even have to push the buttons. I stand by my statement

    "(gh much)"

    beatmania more like it

  • hmmm... well maybe i'll try it out, but i still going to buy Dj hero ONLY because it follows more of the dj essential style. Scratch has the possibility to actually scratch, but Dj has actual turntabalism and beat juggling, even if it is pre set. Both games are still far from actual DJing but perhaps one day there will be a game without preset scratches and mixes that will allow you to have free control- way more cost effective than spending 1000 dollars on standard DJ setup

  • i wouldnt speak to soon, i visted the Scratch game website, and it looks like Scratch is more catered to real Turntabalist, u know like the original Hiphop cultural aspect of the DJ, that was born in the Boogie Down Bronx in the days of Grandmaster Flash, and DJ Kool Herc, and AfrikaBambata.

  • The Hiphop DJ AKA the Turntablist, dose not scratch alone, he beat juggles, mixes, cuts, remixes, and needle drops, scratching is just one small aspect of the DJ, and if this game was made only to scratch, then it wouldnt make any money, thats like Guitar hero, making a game that only alows u to hit the notes, and leave out the vibrato and other cool affects of a guitar.

  • thats a good thing. if you're a real dj, do you think you will get pentalized for freestyle scratching?

  • What is the price?

  • much better than DJ hero

  • looks sick. but the real question we should be asking ourselves...if its as realistic as they say..what happens when the fader starts bleeding? hahahahahahaha. time for a new controller?

  • u serious this game has murs too damn this game is deff better than dj hero

  • I'd much rather get this game instead of dj hero

  • The FIRST LEGITMATE CONTROLLER. It's made by a company that knows how to actually make turntables.

  • DJ Hero with this controller would be sooo much better :/

  • wow the game has some terrible graphics...

  • it was screen recorded of course it looks bad.

  • That is awesome..will it be released in australia

  • Pretty nifty. I wonder which game is going to sell more? DJ Hero or Scratch Deck. I like the design of this deck.

  • prolly DJ hero just because its made my the guitar hero guys

  • Does this game have metal? Like SlipKnoT?

  • nah soz but dj hero has got some songs from gh for deuts and mixes btw slipknot suck ass

  • maybe in downloadable content, but for now i think the developers want to stick to hip hop

  • On this one you can control the scratches!

  • True, and it's important to note that the the full song list hasn't been finalized yet so it's too early to talk about the included music yet.

  • how come they couldnt make the game for the wii

  • who knows what song was that close to the end of the vid?

  • you're forgetting about beatmania...

  • wow, your a weeaboo.

  • Dj Premier

    Yeaa

    I can't wait

  • Legit because it is endorsed my Numark nob jockey.

  • click on my channel for the SECOND TRAILER OF SCRATCH: THE ULTIMATE DJ!!!

  • I wonder what the Mei of Scratch will be...

  • Only Hip Hop and R&B....Not really a big fan of those Genres =/ I am buying it if it has more techno, electronic and house songs on it.

  • I hope the game hackers/crackers have a hand in modifying the game, making custom tracks, so that we can put our own tracks/hacks into the game and just go from there!

  • DJ Hero can suck dick! they put the buttons on the vinyl! wtf! what kind of shit is that?!

  • i just want to convert the scratch deck into a midi controller

  • i wonder how it would look like w/ the hd cables plugged in?

  • ovrall a good game though...:p

  • 2 tell u tha truth this game WHOOPS SOME MAJOR ASSS!!!but tha graphics SUCKS SOME MAJOR ASSS!!!seriously what were they thinking?

  • This controller blows DJ hero's out of the water and the gameplay kicks the shit out of it BUT what the fuck were they thinking with the graphics?!?!?!?!?!?!

  • which is the last song?

  • Murs Looking Fly

  • I'll give it that to, but for someone like me, I'd just buy both.

  • I think it all depends on the music the games have. DJ Hero looks like it has better graphics. This game I agree with Metallica91893, they are horrible. I'm still not sure which one I wanna get though.

  • graphics looks horrific, like ps1

  • I'll definately buy this game, the only unfortunate part about this is that alot of people will not even give this game a chance just because it's soundtrack is made up of hip-hop/rap. This game might be a success to the hip-hop/rap community, but not the videogame community in general =/

  • Consistent repeats on the same key? Those notecharts look awful.

  • LOL iidx wannabe

  • i dont agree with you but opinions

  • <3 My First Beatmania

  • ah no ps2?

this actualy might convince me to buy a ps3

  • i hope the " other people drop that law suit bulll crapp!!!, dont they know that dj's ( like myself ) will end up buying both products, if they only added a mic for rapping and singingn , but yeah looks like iim buying both, this one looks more hip hop than mash ups , but they both look great ,,, price ??

  • what was the last song? it was off Midnight club LA

  • lookin fly-murs

  • not bad

  • WHEN DOES THIS COME OUT FOR 360?

  • 6/2009

  • I so want that!

  • LOL

  • Awesome!
