These Columbia (and early Regal) recordings are for me, the best of Billy Cotton's

output. As you say a lovely rich sound - combine that with Columbia's fine recording quality, and it makes these records rather special.

This was recorded on 10th October 1931 and was to be his last Columbia session before returning to their B label, Regal.

He deserved better.
