You do realize it would be way faster if you just stayed at the middle? That way, whatever pods he come from, you'll hit him each time. More risky but way faster which is better for a youtube video. Just saying though.

its a pritty easy boss battle for the final one anyways i myself have never been killed by docter robotnik the final bosses did get harder thoh in sonic 2 and 3+ knuckles

possibly u see eggman tossing chaos emeralds from 1 hand to the other.

u need to obtain 50 rings and keep em until you cross the finish line of a level, doesn't matter which one.

it will have a giant ring above the finish board, you need to jump trough.

you enter a bonus stage of 6 in total and must find the chaos emerald.

getting all of em and clearing the game is 100% GAME COMPLETION.
