@HcAkatsuki Possibility I will be working there--have never been to Japan. What is your initial impression and what is the average cost of an apartment there?
What is this babbling racist comments, good god. I've never met any hostile Japanese there. Went to Darby when it first opened in '89 (Class of '97), then to E.J. King for few years.
Japanese people in Sasebo are racist, i could not even eat in their restauraunts, when i go out in town to the mall or the movies they have "members only"days meaning Japanese omly.
I spent a lot of time visiting Sasebo from 1970-1974 while in the Navy. It was a clean and safe place for liberty and the people were friendly and very polite. There was plenty of things to do. I would love to go back now after all these years to see the old haunts.
Lived there and went to Okubo (the same elementary school that saw the fatal murder of a young girl in '04) then to Darby when it first opened in Hario. Memories :)
Ah, it's the city I was born in. My dad was stationed there. Don't remember it though, since we moved to California when I was two. I'd love to visit Sasebo one day though.
I miss this town too. In Nov-Dec 2008 I lived here while I worked as Santa-san at Huis Ten Bosch. What a great city, great people! I just loved it and I wish I could go back there tomorrow;)
97-2000 USS Patriot "Pat-riot" did 1 year on the Box of wood, than swapped to the Essex for my last months in the navy. It was my first and last duty station and it was a special place. Good times in the bars, friends, JN girls, love hotels. thanks for posting
I love Sasebo. Met my wife on the USS ESSEX/Belleau wood '00-'04. You may recognize the windmill as it was better know in my time as "skinny's". Best BLT in the world. Just across the street from Gramaphones. . Oh and we had an apartment at Kashimae Pier that was the best ever. Reply if you miss Sasebo
well i miss japan in general haha, lived there for 18 years on naval bases with the family. sasebo is a good place but just not a great place for the young kids haha. i actually like the people over there.
