The two most influential indie filmmakers in my life are Lloyd Kaufman(Who I've met more then once and have gotten to know as a person) and Kevin Smith. Kevin has a great spirit and a great act for making films he wants to make and they work. I admire Kevin Smith and Kevin you have talent.
Fantastic interview. Kevin Smith with his wise words, and very pro-lookin' shots by this dude here. You got a knack for cinematic stuff, like insomuch as I was enthralled with your shots, simple as they were, you kept it lookin' interesting.
@ksb100pr or was it when the Dogma shit storm happened? I dunno? maybe you and you can teach us all something that we don't know? BTW who are your favorite filmmakers.... plus i never said i compared him to anyone, all my comment said was "really? because he seems to be a lil more famous than you"
@ksb100pr lol never said i was... nice attempt though! I wouldn't compare him to a lot of people.... but dude... there really isn't any good filmakking going on these days anyway. lil bit here and there i guess.... i just find people on the internet bitching really, really funny... and i never posed a question BTW plus, Damn didn't this guy get a standing ovation at cannes? for like 11 min? I mean was his 15 min up then? was it up when he pretty much created "bromantic comedy" with chasing amy?
Kevin Smith's Red State is now available at the Red Box...such a cool film on so many different levels...plus he did all of the editing on AVID Media Composer too!!! Kevin is a super nice guy and it is amazing that he took time to sit down after showing his film to sit one on one with these students at midnight...with his tour bus waiting outside to go to the next city!!! He is a Rock Star!!!
man, Kevin Smith is a true inspiration to what he mentioned in this video. I love how he explained about making your own story in order to attract an audience.

Henry Juh-GLAHM?? LOL!
It's "Jag-lum", Kev. :-p But yeah. Jaglom is a hardcore indie filmmaker, for better or worse. His films are really hit-and-miss.

I hate how he keeps saying he's not talented.
The dialogue in his movies represent the type of conversations I would have with my friends if me and my friends had IQ's above 130.
If Kevin Smith is not talented then I'm retarded
