  • what im gonna do is get bound swords and put one in one hand and have a destruction spell in the other

  • i prefer breton

  • Alteration is a must for pure mages, :O

  • Using anything then cloth as a pure mage is cheap.

  • i'm bored.. *summons storm atronache and starts casting spells on it*....5 minutes later, atronache kills character and the last save was right before the execution...

  • 1) sick ass shot to that dragon lol 2) thanks for the tips i could never get past lvl 15 cause i was to weak in everything cause i was using blades thanks for the tips made the game alot easier and more fun

  • ilusion and destruction rule everything, you have the most fun then

  • whats the difference between a battlemage and a spellsword ?

  • @dieterstar a spell sword is like a wizard who uses swords at times and may use armor, and use all school and battle mages focus on offensive spells and some restoration to tank damage and use swords but really they're the same thing

  • @dieterstar spellswords are like a sneaky mage and battlemage is warrior/mage

  • yeah, i mean i love robes, the master robes freacking stylish for me, but in the other hand i love the ebony armor aswell, it would be cool if we could mix it, ebony robes

  • 100 conj for 2 storm thralls, 75 destruction for incinerate, 75 alteration for paralyze and ebonyflesh, 50 rest for close wounds, and 100 enchanting

  • lol unrelenting shout LOL!

  • do i need to learn all magical books that i optain?

  • @jskillzz1 no, not at all. But playing as a mage I kinda want every spell I come across ;) And the books arnt worth that much anyway.

  • I focus on ALL schools of magic, oh and restoration isnt a valid school of magic.

  • 4:17

That was a god damn good shot, man

  • Is Destruction less powerful than a Legendary Daedric Battleaxe? Sure. But the Impact perk makes Destruction borderline broken, especially if you've enchanted enough gear to cast it for free. That's what it is to be a pure mage: go from being lovely and one-shotted early in the game to Mehrunes Dagon incarnate by the late game.

  • Will 300 mana be fine if u have fire storm

  • Armor doesn't really effect you? Bull shit.

  • @battletoads22 he means that from a RP stance as in MOST RP games Mages CAN NOT wear armour

  • Personally I think 300 is still a little small for a mana pool on my character I use 450 it gives me enough to take out stronger guys without having to wait for my mana to recharge. But I think the 300 mana pool to start because you will also use gear to increase your mana more.

  • @joebob4664 Mana+500 Health+300 Stamina+1

  • i would use the fire shout

  • The only shout anyone should ever use is a three word storm call. You press one button any suddenly everything in 30 yards is dead. What more can I say to prove my point?

Of course you need to use the blessing of talos for the reduced time between shouts, but a "Oh shit" button in an emergency is always needed. And Stormcall is THE "Oh shit button".

  • the only robes guys have magearmor

  • 133377 views lawl.. ^>^

  • Can someone tell me, what would be best to kill your everyday enemies? Fire magic or Two Handed Sparks?

  • @Flubber1406 Fire just does pure damage, shock does health and magicka damage, frost does health and stamina damage (but also slows down the enemy tremendously). Some enemies are immune to fire, others shock or frost, so you really want to be balanced in the destruction school just in case.

The higher level spell you have, the more magicka it takes to cast it, so sometimes I'll run around with just a flame or spark spell, then switch to fireball or something for harder enemies.

  • I actually played skyrim for like 5 months now and its about time I try making my own kind of class I was actually trying to make a sneaky kind of mage not like the nightblade he uses magic for stealth and actually its going very well. I did this from the inspiration of your customization vids thanks man keep makin vids! :)

  • I have been playing a warrior character but i want to try out stealthy, can you just change armor and all that or should i just make a new one?

  • @iCaspow i was a warrior too, but i got bored of it and just got some good light armor and enchanted it with fortify archery and fortify sneak. now my sneak is at 100 and my archery is at 92. you could do that but its best to just start a new game and join the dark brotherhood as quick as possible (:

  • @iCaspow lol you have to make a new one you've already used perks

  • I would use magic but destruction is waaaay to under powered.

  • @Smackingbuffalo Give it a good try, higher level destruction spells, coupled with enchantments and perks make you a force to be reckoned with.

  • Would archery and conjuration be a good combo? Archery, Conjuration, sneak, and one handed. And restoration, of course.

  • @toastybatch565 That is essentially a Hunter in WoW.

It would work pretty effectively aslong as you have a tough enough companion/zombie or what ever

  • @PuppetMasterScott even if the atronarch dies, you'd just cast it again, and shoot some more.

  • Conjuration will help you survive as a mage, as the atronarchs, dremora, watever, distract the enemy and can make fighting even the toughest of enemies a piece of cake. Also major in destruction, and you can attack enemies from far away and do special damage like shock on mages, frost on warriors, fire on draugr and trolls. Keep a strong one handed weapon with you to get up close with Ward using mages. Always have an atronarch, dremora, etc by your side.

  • @toastybatch565 and restoration.. MOST IMPORTANT SCHOOL OF MAGIC!

  • I like to have a dagger just in case i run out of magicka

  • Illusion !

  • I started new char. after watching this video high elf pure mage lvl 12 right now. and biggest problem i ran into was magicka. I keep running out of it difficulty is master and its kinda hard

  • @GentelmanNex Enchanting. Get some robes or armour encahnted with fortify magicka.

  • @GentelmanNex that happened to me too. Use conjuration to distract enemies while you regenerate magicka. always keep a dremora, atronarch, watever, by your side. I wrote a huge paragraph about being a mage. Check it out. Except dont use weapons if you dont want to.

  • Mages are extremely fun to play on skyrim.

When I had a mage, I went for restoration for healing myself.

Destruction as main dps, and defending myself.

Conjuration was fun, but didn't really summon a lot.

    Didn't need shouts.

  • @RazorTheOrc I agree. Over time it get's boring stabing things. So summoning and antronaocht to do it or burning your enemies from a distance is way better and alternation has some sick shit you can do at later levels.

  • I didn't know about the stones until I was level 30...

  • High elf FTW

  • good fucking commentary bro

  • how do u lvl up ur pickpocketing skill

  • @TheDeathMVP you pickpocet

  • @TheDeathMVP *Pocket

  • @TheDeathMVP uhh pickpocket?? you could put stuff in people or take things from them

  • My level 6 mage uses Destruction and Conjuration as primary forces, and Illusion and Restoration as secondary. I use Lightning Bolt (Destruction), Conjure Flame atronach (Conjuration), Fury (Illusion), and Fast Healing/Steadfast Ward (Restoration).

  • A lot of the fun in playing a pure mage is wreaking havoc in nothing but pajamas!

  • I have a lvl 68 Mage in Skyrim :D

  • In my opinion the most fun school of magic is Illusion, it's exteremly fun watching enemies rip each other in half.

  • Epic song

  • Warning! If you like Conjuration and summoning Atronachs/Raising zombies do not use the Atronach Stone! If you do while it is active you have a 50% chance that your summoning spells don't work, it's some weird ass bug, so please don't use it if you use Conjuration at all, I hate to ask this.. but please thumbs up so other people can see. Thanks.

  • @OblivionZealot It's not that bad here cause whenever I do try to summon something and rarely I can't all my magicka restores so I hope for that in combat. BTW I don't think it's a bug it's just you can't place down an antronacht on some rough surfaces I guess but not sure.

  • @luvinyomum3127 It is a bug, I think it is the ''Absorb Magicka'' thingy you get with the stone, and spells like summonin Atronachs, Dremora Lirrds, Familiars etc... doesen't work 50% of the time, it's exteremly anoying when you're in the midst of combat and need an Atronach to finnish the job. Very, very annoying.

  • Best thing for a bit of everything mage is :

    Alteration : Stoneflesh Ironflesh etc.

    Illusion : mayhem fury etc.

Conjuration : Dead thall/ summon daedra

Restoration : Heal self and other

    Destruction : Self explanatory

  • fuck armour, just use dragonflesh and the perk that makes it better.

  • @ReLoadXxXxX Daedric armor looks pretty good on a destruction mage though

  • @TheJ00baby So do robes. looks mean very little, heavy armour is impractical, robes are ideal with low weight and general awesomeness. Dragonflesh is fine no heavy armour needed. No point wasting perks in smithing.

  • That was an ugly creation

  • Thanks, no doubt atronachs are force multipliers. They were a big help in Mzulft, but in those fights I knew what was coming.

  • which is more fun? battlemage or mage?

  • @SubjectZ3RO Necromancer.

That way you can use destruction, melee and conjure up some help.

The most fun class is the one with the most utility.

  • @SubjectZ3RO Depends, I'm an illusion/conjure/destruction mage, so I get to fuck with people with my illusion spells, and I get atronachs to help me with multiple enemies, and a little bit of destruction to for the enemies I want to keep my distance and do a lot of damage, but destruction is hard to level up for me.

  • @SubjectZ3RO I like a pure mage more, simply because it's exteremly effective dual-wielding spells, but a pure mage that is able to use a sword is also pretty fun, especially if you enchant it.

  • Breton is the correct race

  • @TheOginb How do you figure that?

  • I can't decide what kind off clas I'm going to.. .it's driving me insane!

  • You will need soul trap though. Only conjuration spell you need.

  • @xKCBEx flame attroach on some gay overlords then just stand back and hit them with firebolts, thats the only thing I use conjuration for with soul trap of course :D

  • IMO, skip conjuration calm and pacify are better oh shit spells, atronachs take too long to conjure for them to save you.

  • @xKCBEx Atronachs are amazing to use pre-battle if you dual cast them (for longer durability) and just send them in, go invinsible and rape some face.

  • do high elves still have the 25% weakness to all magic

  • @alexbaileyable

Nope, I believe they took that out. You can check the skyrim wiki to look into stuff. Hope this helps.

  • @alexbaileyable Nope

  • hehehe...

    P.S

    TrendKiLL, really good video! ;)

  • Werewolf is better than vampire for a mage because you can have a powerful offensive attack mode when you find yourself in a tight spot

  • thumbs up if you think he should make a dragonslayer or shaman build

  • i feel like a noob when i listen 2 this guy. sad face

  • high elves can't have beards therefore they suck.

  • @Meatsparkle High-Elves actually can have beards.

  • @YeahImAnArgonian

    yeah...but not FULL beards.

  • Smackin shit with a sword x)

  • although 99% of you said they wont make it high elves ... im sure you did

  • 00.6 DOVAKIN DOVAKIN NOT A SINGLE SARDINE!!!!!!

  • @MCAlldor fuck off with that!

  • I'd rather using an Orc as a mage than creating a High Elf character. They are assholes, because they remember me of the Thalmor, who are complete dicks.

  • @igor1903 i went with a woof elf female as my mage :D so i could laugh while i killed the high elves

  • @Assassinsinc woof elf lol

  • ALSO!!! THE MOST IMPORTANT TREE TO HAVE IS THE RESTORATION!! IT IS THE BEST I USE IT For my mage, assassin, everything! Most important in the game.

  • I hate thalmor. I was clearing Fort Greymoor (of the first places I ever cleared before. And suddenly they just march into the fort and take all of the kills. THEN, I talk to the wizard cuz were both high elves and he ends up trying to kill me. So a thalmor wizard and 2 soldiers attack me, and I'm only level 7. SO i kill one, really low health for the other, but the mage cast its stupid sparks on me and i die. I try again, but they werent there. BUT there were hired thugs who i pwned.

  • 1 tip for this build: Get J'Zargo as follower (College of Winterhold)

  • Nooo, you killed the kajihts O_o

  • You should stay away from armor because if you invest in the Alteration Tree there is an ability that makes spells like "Stone Flesh" etc. progressively more effective and with the higher level "___ Flesh" spells coupled with that increase skill, the spells end up providing more protection than armor. The increase for the spells only work if you DON'T wear ANY armor, (not applied to accessories), but then again, it's all up to personal preference.

  • Fun Mage:

    Conjuration -Thralls to tank enemies

    Illusion -To control the mass

    Destruction -Obvious for the kill

Ritual stone -Raise what you have slain

  • I think a pure mages skills should be:

    Destruction

    Restoration-take damage easier

    Alteration-seeing pure mages use robes

  • *myself and my wife Njada or a follower. Not for offence

  • I am a nord and mainly focus on health and weapon strength but I do use restoration spells for increasing armour rating and healing myse

  • Comment removed

  • It's not the mage guild. Mage guild is gone.

  • @RedguardStoleMyHorse OMG your username is so win!XD

  • Hey guys.

I love playing Skyrim (Xbox 360) but like none of my friends play.

I know a TON about Skyrim, I have just over 150 hours clocked into it. I have a level 58 Warrior, a level 43 Archer/Sneak, a level 53 pure mage, and level 31 battlemage / illusionist/ necromage. I have every achievement in Skyrim and Oblivion, and can give out A TON of tips. I have also found all Dragon Priest maks, and every guild quest over 3 times. If anybody needs help on Skyrim from a veteran. GT: CrustGangOrDie

  • @GetCrepedOn Or they could just go on Skyrim Wiki...

  • mages get owned by bears. just bears, though.

  • @Atticuslive96 i struggle more with bears than i do with trolls or even dragons

  • @Atticuslive96 Bears and other mages who seem to have an infinite amount of sparkles

  • @RedguardStoleMyHorse Nice username trololol xD

  • dude ur awesome whats ur name on face book so i can add u

  • If you want to run around in robes, you should use the alteration armor spells.

  • How the fuck did you hit that dragon with that fireball? Holy fuck.

  • Breton is pretty good for mage.

  • @Mrarrypotter But High Elf is the best for mage.

  • @mark828sox You can play any class as a mage. Just a bit harder in the beginning if going full dual cast destruction or something else that relies heavily on magicka. But if going like Alteration (shield etc.) and Conjuration (bound weapons) you don't need that much magicka early on.

  • as it turns out you can actually master and get all perks for all at level 73 for all perks i will upload once i do it

  • @randmonneo no, no you cant. dont act like you know anything about skyrim please

  • @GetCrepedOn no i did the math u offing troll fuck off

  • @randmonneo it says on the wiki that you cant. besides, common sense dictates since their are 13 skills and 10-15 perks in each, you would need to be over level 130 for every perk.

    DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @GetCrepedOn there is five skills dedicated to magic not counting enchanting so yeah what are you talking about

  • @randmonneo actually enchanting is considered magic in the game, you can check for yourself when you complete the elder scroll quest and are able to choose which page you want to read

  • @vidant829 i know but i dont consider it a magic class only because if your running around with magic your not going to enchant a sword it doesn't make sense and do not bring up recharging staffs because that different

  • @randmonneo i mean this for magic selection

  • 4:25 poor kittens... =(

  • At war lvl should I start power leveling smith+enchant

  • I have a Breton mage. Dragonskin comes in very handy in mage fights, specially because I have the Alteration perks.

  • @0096luke IMO, Dragonskin only comes handy when i'm playing a Warrior type build.

  • how can you deal with not being able to use robes that dont give armor ratings?

  • Keep up with the creations, I use the mage build and I'm diggin it.

  • Dark elves get a fire resistance. Too bad most mages use lightning or frost. Fucking frost.

  • @10killionaire well skyrim is set in the far north so really goes with the territory

  • @TheMe987789 Doesn't make it any less annoying.

  • What are the enchantments for the heavy armor and where are they

  • but trendkill, from other vids, i heard them say that it would be better to use light armor if your a mage? can you please clear this up, because i`m confused now.

  • @Zenowitz22 As a mage, you can wear whatever the hell you like with no penalty UNLESS you use Alteration, which gives you an armor rate bonus if you aren't wearing any armor.

  • as mage can i join the darkbrotherhood and just to get the ligth armor and skip the missions. like i dont do them not that it gives me that option to not do them. i want my mag to have ligth armor heavy sems to not mage and robes is not a good saftey.

  • Bretons are shit 25% is not needed unless master difficulty but even then not so good high elves look better there faster and they have most magicka which is all that matters unless your shit because the games not that hard anyway.... once you get used to enemies strategies etc... but any race can be a good mage cause all can get magicka resit capped aswell as -100% magicka cost for spell schools so pick your fabled Orc mage!!!!! you always wanted or not.

  • I really like high elf, i wanted to do a mage and started with a high elf, BUT DAMN THEY'RE UGLY.

  • @Lolilol92000

Hehe. In Morrowind, I was like "Everyone's ugly. Who cares?" In Oblivion, the high elves looked freaking awesome. Then Skyrim came along and I was like "What...WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED?!"

Oh well, you can still make them look good in Skyrim but it takes a lot of tweaking. Like, A LOT of tweaking because, you know, they look like something out of your nightmares.

  • @foojuice101 I made my best to make a handsom high elfe but .. IT'S JUST ... Gahh ...

  • @Lolilol92000

It's okay. I feel your pain XD

  • Not really its just an idea of what he thinks will help you the most.

  • Does race really matter?

  • @Lv80Mudkip Not really for most classes. They more so just help early game, but when playing as a mage high elf is great because of extra magicka and a kickass ability. they wont matter late game though. also for warriors, no matter what level, orcs berserk is fantastic. argonians have a VERY useful but often overlooked power, and bretons have a great magic resistance. The most important thing though is that you choose whatever race u wanna be. U can manage any class with any race.

  • @Lv80Mudkip

It only matters at the start of the game because if you get race dependent perks to help level up certain skills faster. If you want to just be a mage who pwns shit, be a high elf because you get a lot of extra magicka. If you want to be more of a tank mage, Breton is best because you have high magic resistance. If you want to be a warrior/mage, dark elf is best.

As you level up, the race won't really matter anymore. It mattered in the previous TES games, but not in Skyrim.

  • When should i level enchanting as a mage

    level 20?

  • can u pls make a vid where use fighting with ur pure mage?

  • So anyone if you are playing on easy, apprentice or adept

go ahead and pick high elf if you are playing on maste pick a fucking BRETON!!!

  • @noname12327 that is what i want to say i wanna be invincible vs mages...and also i wanna dual cast so i dont wanna use wards...anyway high elves are aso good mages but i dont care about that 50 magika because im playing on fucking master i need that 25% magic ressistance also if i pick the lord stone for another 25% m.r i be invincible and also some good gear with magic resistance i il be amazing...

  • Take a look at trendkill's master guide and you will see that bretons is the best mages!!!

  • Yeah but if you want to dual cast???

  • I need a fix to the join the imperial legion quest bug its like I cleared out the base but It says I didnt

  • BRETON IS THE BEST MAGE!!!THUMBS UP IF I AM RIGHT

  • @eddymangalia Well, bretons are good against magic users because of his race powers like 25% magic resistant and dragonskin) basically he is good to battle against other mages.

  • I think breton is the best magic race because of their resistance to magic...

If you are a high elf playing on master you take 2 or 3 fireballs and you are out!!!BRETONS ARE BEASTLY MAGES!!!

  • @eddymangalia use a ward and they wont hurt you :)

  • @eddymangalia wouldn't that be the perfect moment for using wards?

  • @eddymangalia Ever heard of Wards? Ever heard of 5 bonus points in magicka when a high Elf?

  • @eddymangalia magic resistance is nice, but once you get either the savior's hide or basically any equipment that gives magic resistance, it doest really matter as much, though a breton with extra magic resistance is practically invincible against mages

  • is he actully gonna do a lp or just go through classes )_)

  • wait...300 magicka is nowhere near enuf..i have 400, and fire balls are hell for me

  • @magicspacepotato u need some fortify destruction enchantments

  • Personally i would get some Robes and put the enchantment on some heavy armor but later on the game if you fully enchant light armor it's almost as powerful as heavy armor

  • @zZMysticNightmareXx It's just a joke. There are a lot of "miss interpretations" of the song lyrics. Some are hilarious.

  • i like my char to be naked
