This pedals totally lacks transparency. O did find one clean sounds i like along with a patch that gives you slightly more high end when you pick harder....then patch after patch of murkiness...

how do you activate the 1st knob efx like eq and mic and stuff like that because i have this pedal and after reeding the manual like 10000 times and getting guitar buddies to help i cant get them to work

i am thinking of the digitech rp150. it this better than that or should i jsut go with with digitech. I am also think of a line 6 floor pod plus, but my understanding is the noise gates and reverb on line 6 are not very good

Its going in to the Line 6 Toneport, into a power amp and out through a couple of monitors(Watch the f-in video.).

Its distortion sucks, the eq' sucks, the interface sucks, they are unreliable as fuck, and on top of it all, the cabinet emulator sucks as well.

Ive even heard that the input doesn't have the right resistance, causing the pickups in your guitar to sound bad too.. i wouldn't pay a dollar for one of these pedals.. i don't get why Lynch agreed to put his name on this piece of junk.

Yes I agree. I rarely ever touched it again after I did this video. The more I used it the more I didn't like it. There are a lot better options out there.

It's actually a Rocktron Prophesy II, Line 6 XDR Wireless system, and a Marshall 100/100 Power amp.

They are very worth it.. but dont buy cheap shit like the Zoom.

Get a Boss GT-10(Or 8 if you cant afford it.), and run it with the 4 cable method through a decent tube amp.

And remember to use it for effects! Get your tone out of the amp, and only use the multi effect for reverbs, chorus and stuff like that.

I wouldnt go for the Line 6.. its great for just recording stuff, but not as an fx-pedal.

The digitech might be ok.. im not sure though, never really looked in to their stuff.

Just google "four cable method" and you'll get what it is.

And yes, what i mean is that you get the distortion and everything from the amp.. if the amp doesnt sound good on its own, no effect pedal in the world can save it.

Thanks for the review. I've been looking at this pedal for a long time since it came out. I've got a Digitech RP350 that has tons of sounds on it, but am looking for something a little more user friendly and mainly heavy sounds on it like the G2G seems to have.

Ah man, I used to have the RP350 and I found it very, very difficult to EQ properly. Great reverb and chorus on it though.

I haven't really had a problem with the EQ on it. I got G2G a few weeks ago and really like it....love the Peavy5150 simulation. Just a great pedal for the price.

I tend to think there was some sort of Alone Again setting but not breaking the chains. However, both sounds you can tweak easily enough to get it to where it will sound very similar to those sounds.

I have a stupid question - why are you running through the Toneport? Could you not just run this through a poweramp or even into the effects return of a guitar amp? Excuse my ignorance in this matter.

The reason I'm running it through the Toneport is because the pedal is not part of my main rig. I got it mainly to screw around with and see what it was capable of. I knew it wasn't going to replace any of my main rig. It sounds very similar though through an amp or power amp.

thanks for reviewing this one. I was hoping that he'd have a patch that gets close to his Under Lock & Key tone. You version of It's Not Love has a similar sound. Did you have to tweak it or was that GL's preset?

How many effects are you able to use in one preset?

Well I went through every sound effect patch and I didn't hear any that sounded like lock and key. I was hoping for that sound as well. The sound you hear in the video is one I edited from scratch. Mainly a Mesa Boogie head/cab selection and some EQ adjustments. I'm not sure how many effects you can use at once. I'll try that out later and see what happens.
