It right that MBDTF wasn't nominated for album of the year, because it's not an album. It is a piece of sonic art. It rises above the term album. The nominations are lowly compared to this historical future classic and turning point in the genre of hip hop.

I agree with his points in the review but I think the score is too low considering that probably 5 or 6 songs are classics. There are probably 3 or 4 tracks that I don't like but I'd still give it an 8 or 9 and I think Kanye is the best artist in pop music today.
I think your reviews are usually quite on point, even when it may go against my own preference. When I first watched this video I only had College Dropout and "Otis" in my iTunes library. Since then I got MBDTF, and the first time I listened through it I had much the same impressions as you. Then I watched the short film that this album was obviously made for, I don't know why but I suddenly heard the music differently, now everytime I go through it I only love it more, Runaway is a masterpiece.
I agree with the length of runaway and blame game. especially the autotuned rambling at the end of runaway. I would have to say college dropout, late registration, and graduation are all better to me because of the range of topics he would talk about.This album seems like its songs are about very similar subjects.Overall its good and i enjoyed it a few times but it does not make me keep playing it like graduation, college dropout and late registration.

I agree w/ this review and I'm tired of everyone dick riding Kanye West. The content and delivery are the two most important aspects of hip-hop and this guy has a problem with the content. @sbkite exactly. I find it hilarious how many people are bitching about this review, if they were actually listening to the lyrics they'd realize it's incredibly average. Kanye still relies too heavily on guests, which might've been ok if there was more Wu and no Rick Ross. somehow he managed to take some amazing production and make it incredibly boring to listen to.

I agree with his points in the review but I think the score is too low considering that probably 5 or 6 songs are classics. There are probably 3 or 4 tracks that I don't like but I'd still give it an 8 or 9 and I think Kanye is the best artist in pop music today.

I think your reviews are usually quite on point, even when it may go against my own preference. When I first watched this video I only had College Dropout and "Otis" in my iTunes library. Since then I got MBDTF, and the first time I listened through it I had much the same impressions as you. Then I watched the short film that this album was obviously made for, I don't know why but I suddenly heard the music differently, now everytime I go through it I only love it more, Runaway is a masterpiece.

I agree with the length of runaway and blame game. especially the autotuned rambling at the end of runaway. I would have to say college dropout, late registration, and graduation are all better to me because of the range of topics he would talk about.This album seems like its songs are about very similar subjects.Overall its good and i enjoyed it a few times but it does not make me keep playing it like graduation, college dropout and late registration.

Illmatic is a 10/10 because its almost timeless, you can listen to it all the time. MBDTF you cant really listen to all the time which means it is not a classic album to me

I don't think this album deserve a rating of 6/10. Kanye best album to date is getting a low score of 6/10. The production and lyrics is fantastic, especially if you compare it to other rappers albums. You also gave Watch the throne 6/10. You don't like Kanye because of his giant ego. Focus more on the music it's a true masterpiece. Let's see how many grammy Kanye will get for this album.
