  • I would love The Beatles to tour one last time. With Liam Gallagher singing Johns parts, since he does such a good impression of him. I don't know who could replace George though?

  • @barraka00 well ringo son was oasis drummer for a while so i guess that as close as there gonna get unless paul or ringo decides to do a gig

  • classic

  • No no no

  • Brasil :D

  • Amazing vid. Congratz.

    From Brazil.

  • :´)

  • Noel sporting the hair cut their old man used to give them when they were young. How can you even think beatles, and then think oasis, not a lot of peepole think too much about oasis now just the fact liam likes john lennon their just another rock band or were.pistols spewed a whole generation, but never played poxy beatle cords .

  • 1:05 is almost perfection

  • jajajajajajajajaja lo hicieron qedar muy bien

  • this holds nothing but pixeldust to The Dukes of Stratospheare, my sons.

  • This would be THE super band of all time.

  • Oasis and The Beatles? No, It should say The Beatles and Oasis

  • I don't know why but I feel good to see John smile.

  • i like this video :)

i love both, oasis and beatles, but now thet don't exist :(

  • EPIC!!

  • Now this was good, I liked it. :)

  • Love both bands.Didn't the Beatles copy the early rock'n'rollers?Their influences.

  • beatles < OASIS

  • @pauloh29 you dont know what your saying man

  • Nicely done mate!

  • JOHN LENNON , NOEL GALLAGHER, LIAM GALLAGHER, PAUL MACCARTNEY, RINGO STARR and GEORGE HARRISON together, was a dream :D or oasis but there had to be in the 60s, or the Beatles would have to be present, I prefer the second option! That the spirit of rock never dies!

  • God this would've been awesome

  • Liam is like crazy about John Lennon. Recently he disclosed in an interview that he used to get totally 'captivated' or something like that just watching images of Lennon on TV as a child.

Liam has named one of his legitimate children as Lennon.

  • beatifiul oasis desde argentina mendoza

  • LMFAO, u got ppl goin. nice editing. Looks really good

  • MC Hammer, forever.

  • Oatles

    yeah!!!!

  • Ringo's son Zak Starkey used to be the drummer for Oasis. Zak is now the drummer for The Who.

  • wtf are you on about? first things first the beatles had talent,,the beatles went on for years, the beatles had load of albums with many many songs being number 1 hit,What the hell do Oasis have oasis just like the beatles thats it ,they are nowhere near as them if the beatles were still all here theyd prob tell oasis to go F themselves and grow up,,oh and write at least more albums,,then they might start getting somewhere, really you ideots, who wright this GROW UP!!!! stop insulting the beatles.

  • @namenotmatters

looks like you need to grow up

  • @TheMrbollox another disgruntled oasis fan that finally realized that oasis doesn't cause the sun to rise and set

  • @8thEastTexasBlues

What? vitriol will get you nowhere....

  • this is so cool

  • probably the best two rock bands thats gonna grace this earth(my opinion) at this rate with the amount of shit whats in our charts today

  • It doesn't matter if Oasis means more to you. Musically The Beatles are the kings, the godfathers of popular music - nobody ever has or probably ever will come close to them. Post 1996 Oasis made the same record up until Dig Out Your Soul which was a pile of shit. Noel Gallagher admits he stole alot off other people - bands like The Real People, The La's, Pale Fountains - bands that will never get the acclaim because the deluded majority refuse to listen to anything but Oasis.

  • The thing is though - it's unfair to compare them to The Beatles - yes. But it's idiotic Oasis fanatics who don't have a clue about music that have made the comparison to begin with. Oasis had 2 good, solid albums. The Beatles released 4 of the most universally acclaimed records of all time in the space of 3 years - totally breaking down ground with songs like Tomorrow Never Knows, A Day In The Life + Strawberry fucking Fields to name but a few.

  • @bigdunk9

I'm not comparing them at all, but Oasis have released 3 universally acclaimed albums. Definitely Maybe, Morning Glory and the masterplan. The rest are not shite like some ignorant people say, they just aren't as consistent but there's still lots and lots of gems on them.

and don't call Oasis fans idiots, I love Oasis, they got me into so many bands including the beatles.

  • Yeah over the space of 16 years. The Beatles released what many people consider the five best albums in rock and roll history in the space of 4 years. Yeah they aren't shite, but by no means are they good, and by no means does it put them up there with the greatest. Some Oasis fans are idiots, you clearly aren't, but on two seperate occasions when I went to see them, the place was filled with wankers.

  • Brilliant. I'm sure I've posted this song/video before, but that's because i REALLY like it!!! :)

  • love man love it!!!!!

  • Don't get compared oasis with a huge band, Even the BEST band in the world for ever. The Beatles...

    This is a joke.

  • Beatles>Oasis

    obviously, but they're still amazing.

  • @TheMrbollox Beatles ≠ Oasis

    ..both are amazing.

  • both are GODS

live forever the beatles and oasis

  • the beatles inspired virtually every successful music act that came after it, oasis is just another....

  • I dont think oasis would have had the same succes if it hadnt been for the beatles. But it dont believe that beatles would have breaked trough today with all the r&b crap being succesful.

  • I love the Beatles, we can sing this songs,

again , again and again .... until

    ......

oasis is just oasis , i trust we all as one

  • Name one record that's a complete steal from the beatles, instead of using the first 12 seconds of don't look back in anger or a tribute reference.

    go on

  • Love, love, love.....OASiS.

  • WONDERFUL

one question:noel likes as singer paul mccartney or john lennon?

    please answer my question:-)

  • @ivikaEilona001 John, Noel said it was always more Lennon than McCartney

  • ye its obvious oasis copied the beatles in the early days. But i tell you what they made some bloody good records when they were copying them.

  • @foosy2000 yeah and how much was noel gallagher sued by other artist,i heard it was over 500.000 for the song i m free,as its a rip of ,off how sweet it is to be an idiot,by neil innes, lets get a few replies to other songs which artsis have sued him,

  • to me..

i think oasis sucks compared to beatles

    but thats just me.

  • Oasis is a good band but the beatles are legendary

  • fuck off oasis did get ere insparation from the beatles but look at their record sales famous world wide ure the only dick on earth tha dosent lol x

  • @CHABA95 is there anyone who doesn't suck COMPARED TO THE BEATLES ? not really fair is it.

  • Haha..Oasis needs help of the Beatles- obviously...as usual. The second best cover band...that is Oasis!

  • no pero como comparan a BEATLES! con oasis?

  • no los estan comparando idiota.

  • Tears for Fears is another of the bands that did very good renditions of the Beatles.

  • The Beatles ft Oasis

  • WTF?

next time make it realer, please!

  • My comment [maybe an expected one]:

    whatever!

    Ah, those impostors.

  • interesting edit.

I actually never really got the Beatles/Oasis comparison. I'm a huge fan of both and don't think it's more similar than Beatles/Travis or Beatles/Anything Melodic.... I think Blur came closer to a Beatles sound at times than Oasis did.

Anyway, I think it's a reflection of Dumb America (and I'm american btw) just hearing a band that sounded different than Green Day and Nirvana and decided they were from britain so they MUST be the next Beatles, right? wrong.

  • They remind me more of the Kinks than the Beatles.

  • :D great

  • I miss those eyebrows!

  • fucking Noel why he had to be the Paul in Oasis,I admired him very much, now I won't buy his solo album,'cause he isn't oasis

  • =O nice

  • good job dude

  • wow brilliant dude

  • Great job 100 stars for you!

  • w0000000000000w

  • excelent job man

  • this is such a clever and well done edit.

  • oh what it actually looks likes mccartney is singing! I wish John lennon never got shot and George Harrison never died and the beatles were together for long enough this would be THE ultimate group combination.

  • @inspiredbyshikari

If wishes were horses wed all be eating steak

  • One of best oasis songs. veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery underrated

  • This is a very well done photo

    10/10

  • very cool

  • Top video fellah!

  • must be

  • I've got two versions of Definitely Maybe pressed in Mexico. The first one has this song and is listed on the back of it and the second version doesn't have the song listed but is on the record.

  • Amazing!!

  • If I am correct "Whatever" was not released on any of their albums!

    Check it on WIkipedia!

    Anyway, Great song!

  • You're right, Whatever was a single ;)

  • it's weird cos this is my favourite oasis song and it only seems to have been released as a B-side. whenever i speak of it (even to someone who is very familiar with most of oasis' work) people don't seem to know which song i mean.

i find it odd cos i think it's a brilliant song.

  • I am sure it was a single. Yeah, almost all of the Oasis songs are my favourite :)) , but THIS ONE is the song of my life. I discovered them exactly with Whatever and since then I am their biggest fan on the fockin continent.

  • its because noel completely ripped it off from beatles spoof band 'The Rutles' song called" im free to be an idiot" .he got sued for it . check the songwriting credits now they've been changed

  • youre a retard

  • Its how sweet to be a idiot.

  • Was released as a stand alone single in 1994

  • I'm gonna feature oasis on the back end of my next album, if i don't change my mind.

  • muy bueno!!

  • cool i love it!!!!

  • That was pretty good video editing. Oasis&Beatles. Like them both. If I had to pick one or the other, I would go with Oasis, only because they already had the ingenuity of the Beatles to work with. The Beatles were pure and 100% original. Above everything though is John Lennon alone, his solo songs are absolutely brilliant, no wonder Liam worships him.

  • reminds me of all you need is love :S

  • Whether or not it's genius is a matter of subjective opinion. I personally don't think it is but I do think it's a very clever and well made little gem of a song and to say that 'any' Oasis track betters it, is pretty laughable.

  • You described the composition very well.

For my own arguments sake, I could ask you to describe any song by any band just as well. Doesn't matter if it's the Beatles cuz it's you and your language. I follow the description and understand the idea but it strikes me how meaningless it is to create such analyzes for a song that has maybe a good riff however if you think this point of view is valid enough to throw out Oasis music is laughable only for the reason it didn't influent then have it.

  • Thanx.

Ok I appreciate English isn't your first language(Your English sounds pretty impressive to me btw).

As I said I guess it just comes down to personal preference. Let's just agree to disagree about this one.

  • Ok, I'll take a shot at refuting your absurd statement.*Cracks knuckles*.

'IATW' is a cracking little number. Your right , it is a nonsensical song, but that's the point. It demonstrates Lennon's lyrical inventiveness and talent for creative imagery. The song is also deceptively accomplished musically, it has stunning little flourishes throughout it and whilst it seems at first like a vehicle for mere self indulgent whimsy, it actually transpires as something of a surrealist pop gem.

  • The last post that ends with "pretty laughable" was just repeating your own rubbish and I don't need to read that but... concerning the first one...

OK respect point taken and I also understand you're an intelligent clown that admires Lennon but can't help to throw out, this is the classic mindset of someone who overrates the Beatles and what they have done. Anything you say, like demonstrating inventiveness, you might aswell say about any song.

  • What you're saying is that considering I'm the Walrus, that isn't a clever song, can't beat any Oasis song, is that correct?

Aueneye first you also agree it is a nonsensical song then you suddenly throw out it "transpires as something of a surrealist pop gem" and to my eyes/ears it comes off as something that means nothing, just like the song. Lennon wrote it like a message to the likes of you "Analyze this fuckers" yet here you are, analyzing nonsens. Your descripition is entertaining though.

  • I don't understand your opening sentence, could you rephrase it?

How does it's nonsensical nature diminish it's worth? Do you think that everything has to be logical and rigidly linear in narrative. I don't doubt that Lennon wrote it as a 'Fuck You!' kinda statement, that's more than likely, but so what? I view the song as a kind of musical Rosarch Ink Blot. Read into it what you will. It's lovely because it is in that long tradition of nonsensical poetry. It's Lennon having fun with music.

  • Lastly to be honest I prefer David Bowie any day of the week to The Beatles, but that doesn't change the fact that I recognise them as one of the greatest ever musical acts.

  • Wonderwall's a great track but it's no Hey Jude.

  • Oasis sound the same in everything they do, which isn't bad It must be said, however, The Beatles redefined Pop music on an album by album basis. No contest. It's like comparing Robbie Williams with David Bowie.

  • How many Oasis songs have you heard? How much have you heard from respective band? Enough to feel qualified for saying that?

  • Actually I have heard quite a lot of their stuff, not all of it admittedly but that's because their not particularly to my taste. I'm not slagging them off, I can understand how some people love their music, but there is no way on earth that they are better than The Beatles. Just no way. I think you fail to understand just how important and revolutionary The Beatles' music was. Are you really trying to tell me that Oasis have been anywhere as near an influence on music?

  • OK and your point is what?

    "Good music must be influental".

Hey Jude is quite a boring repetitive piece of music

if you asks me and it is certainly no Live Forever.

  • No of course good music doesn't have to be influential, but if it's not influential then the reason is because it's probably not doing

anything new musically and that's pretty much

the basis of my argument, that Oasis have based their sound on a Beatles template.

I disagree about Hey Jude, but for arguments sake how about 'Tommorow never Knows' or 'I am the Walrus' or 'A day in the Life'. Name me one Oasis track that equals the genius of those songs.

Oasis are pretty good, but The Beatles...

  • It was you who said "no contest".

And you are STILL using the language

    "Good music must be influental"

I could try to convince you about how The Hindu Times and Lyla has affected the point of view musicians have on rock'n'roll - if I had more than a vague understanding of these matters but I am no expert.

Every Oasis song is better than I'm mr Walrus but they do cover of that song cuz they like it, they fancy the nonsens of it. Nonsens is not genius.

  • If your going to quote me than you might at least be accurate about it. I never said, "Good music must be influential". I do think however that being influential is one of the trademarks of greatness, i.e Something is so good that it inspires other artists to emulate it in some form(much like Oasis have with The Beatles).

'Every Oasis song is better than I'm mr Walrus.'- ? (I'm the Walrus-btw) .

Ok, if you say so. I know your a die hard Oasis fan but that's an absurd statement.

  • "I Am The Walrus"- *slaps wrist and takes a slice of humble pie.*

  • o_O

Your comments fall on their own unreasonableness.

Did you ever had anything interesting to say apart from "Good music must be influental" wich by the way is not quoting you but it is the thing you say over and over again.

If you think I made an absurd statement then refute that statement instead of going all "look at me I think influental music is important" if you know what I mean

  • I'm not here to interest you, I'm here to amuse myself;)

Well, yes, I have plenty of good stuff left in my big bag of commentating fun.

I think you've misunderstood me so I'll make it simple. I prefer the Beatles because they demonstrate superior musicianship. Oasis have their moments but quite frankly are pretty lacklustre, monotonous and repetitive. How's that?

You see... I didn't even mention the fact that The Beatles are more influential than Oasis. *Shit, just did.*

  • To all younger fans of the Beatles:

    Do your parents like them?

Is the 60's/50's the furthest your musical taste goes back?

Do you think Abbey rd. is the best album ever?

Do you just listen to the melody of a song (nothing else such as lyrics)?

    Do you also love Elvis?

Is pop/rock the only type of music you like/or aware of?

Do you watch their videos because 10 million other people have?

If the answer to any of these is "YES" you're a typical beatles fan I'm afraid. Well done (sarcasm).

  • I guess this comment is aimed at me also, so I'll respond to it.

My parents weren't, are not and probably never will be Beatles fans(Their loss).

My musical tastes are pretty far ranging( Spanning from current new music to Classical and further beyond. Viking music anyone?

I like Elvis, I don't love Elvis. I think his voice is amazing and he's important in terms of, ...wait for it...musical influence.)

Interests include - Trip-Hop, Industrial, Classical, Electro, Ambient, e.t.c, e.t.c.

  • Ma chi volete prendere in giro??!!

  • stai parlando con me?

  • liam is the latest rock and roll star

  • liam gallagher is a prick. and lazy. talentless. mouthy, thinks he's rocky, does anything for attetion, loves the fame and money. isn't that intrested in musc. but loves money and attention.

john lennon was fucking brilliant in every way. he was real.

  • Maybe a bit of what you said is fair but Liam wrote I'm Outta Time and that's a masterpiece, can I also say the media paint a picture of him that overexposes some sides, like for ex there's a difference in being self confident and mouthy. Oasis don't have to put out any records anymore for the money; the debut albums made them stone rich already so why would Liam write songs these days if not for sharing his talent for a living

  • surely, the two best bans of music history

  • 40 years and the grave are not the only obstacles preventing these two bands from actually playing together... I don't think the Beatles can see Oasis from where they're 'sat'. And I dig Oasis.

  • You can watch Paul McCartney and Noel Gallagher play together in COME together if you look it up in similar clips to this

  • Not sure what your point is. I was obviously using hyperbole, and Macca isn't the Beatles, I would point out.

  • i like the beatles, i like oasis, i like pink floyd, i like led zeppelin, i like the kinks, i like fleet wood mac, i like guns and roses, i like nirvana, i like rolling stones, and WHAT IS THE FUCKIN problem??? some persons are jealous and closed minded people, i enjoy it all the bands and styles cheers !!

  • If Oasis had been around during the '60s they would have been nipping at the Beatles' ankles like little dogs.

  • Both bands beatyfull, exelent video...congratulation!!!!!!

  • when's this from?

    love them both :)

  • To- Moonwalker & 60schlck52

Why don't we just enjoy listening two

    amazing band??

  • Strange question. I am (only Oasis though)

  • Comment removed

    Mad Fer It!!

  • The contradiction for me, is when I hear songs like Cigarettes & Alcohol and such and I wonder how the hell this psychedelic hardrock for working class is any similar to the 60's sounding Beatles and their soft hippie stuff... no, not a beatle fan here. You can't put out records like Gallaghers have done and be called "imitators" that's just ignorant. Little wake up call; Oasis record their songs without computer technology and fake instruments. They work as any pro musician.

  • Well "HisDream" they still have to compose the songs themselves. Oasis can't let anyone else write the songs for them. They still have to put lyrics, perform, do tours, and they sold I think between 50-80 million albums in a time where downloading stuff becomes vast album sales impossible. Yes I consider Oasis to be artists. They do rock'n'roll wich is uncommon these days. They have to have something inside them to be able to carry that out. Surface is NOT everything.

  • *correction

they sold I think between 50-80 million albums in a time where downloading stuff MAKES vast album sales impossible, wich is a musical exploit no matter how you look at it. You can't go on and whine about how they "ripp off". It's not the point of the band.

  • "What's with the Beatles and these guys? I don't understand! Do they THINK they're like the Beatles?"

No they are just inspired by their music and tries to create something similiar, in some songs. This one reminds us about Octopus Garden.

  • wow!!! beatles and oasis is real???

  • nice work dude!!!

BEATLES FOREVER !!!

  • Great video. Thanks for posting. Love Oasis. Love the Beatles.

  • never will be a band like the beatles...but a band could mean more than the beatles to you...thats happen to me with oasis....i'm a mad fer it but i know that the beatles are better than anyone!!!

  • fact is beatles practically own oasis

  • kewl stuff - thx

  • kool but impossible

  • great vid mate, the beatles and oasis awesome

  • that vox guy says the same thing on every oasis and beatles page

oasis are the fuckin greatest living band

bealtes are fuckin top as well

  • who ever wrote this load of bollox needs their knackers kicked in

  • the beatles are "butter"......Oasis is "margarine".

  • Brilliant comment. Except that 'margarine' might be too complimentary.

  • nice idea, could've been done better though :)

  • oasis > the beatles

    mad fer it. end of.

  • I bet even the oasis fans gave you thumbs down LOL

  • yeah i hate it when people say they are a cheap beatles copy...fuck that...both of them are two of the greatest bands ever...and there is no comparison...i already had the chance to see Macca and Oasis in concert...definitely great..

  • (N)

  • that would be the best concert ever

  • superman yr an idiot how do they copy the beatles??explain yr stupid statement and paul said they were comparable he said b4 he likes oasis they re the best band of our generation them and the beatles best ever i reckon

  • horripilant!

  • You could of at least put a Beatles song in the Background lol

Although its great editing and it is a good song =]

  • oasis call on the beatles influence and that is something no one can deny!! but what noel gallagher did was involve the stones, the stone roses, t-rex and possably status Quo! even though im at pains to say it! the sex pistols are also in there and the smiths lyrically so when people bang on about comparing oasis and the beatles it makes me laugh! i love both bands but as we all know there is no comparison!!!

  • Correction, both George AND Paul didn't care for Oasis. George basically thought they were a teen fad that would fade (true, at least outside of the UK), and Paul called them "derivative" when he was on Howard Stern, and he said he only said the truth because they were insulting to him.

Meanwhile Liam and Noel continue to pretend that they are John Lennon and use the same damn formula over and over in their songs, same chords, same everything.

  • Incorrect, slim. Oasis is a massive, mega, arena-selling-out band the world over, including the U.S., still. No in the U.S. they aren't as big as, say, Coldplay, but DOYS was #5. Not bad for a "one hit wonder from 1995" Also, Paul and Noel were in a band together, sir.
