i own one to and it's for someone like with who likes things like x terminal and so much more.. i owned an iphone and used some android based phones but i have to say i really like everything about this phone except battery life but it does last all day and then some, even if the battery life lasted longer i would use it almost the same as i do now.

Android has nothing on mameo simple. Seen a nokia n900 in person and it looks alot nicer, on the videos it's doesn't look that appealing also it's not a device for everyone.

I want one but I don't think orange uk will offer it :( boo!!

alright, this video shows me that i'll never want this phone for two reasons: the qwerty keyboard is very stupid because its way too small and as a G1 user I know that the keys are not placed very well. also it looks like maemo sucks compared to android.

Date and time settings seem gimmicky; it would be much easier just to punch in the numbers. Though I can't complain too much about that since I'd be using this for ridiculous things.

ui is portrait mode only for phone function now, but they will add it i suppose, because Nokia is getting a lot of feedbacks on this issue

"3" Don't use normal SIM cards, they use something called a U-SIM....which don't work in phones not specifically USIM compatible. Cheeky network, huh ;)
