I loved this book too. Its a cold and depressing read though. Read it if you haven't.

The left and the right fighting each other. Each wanting the same thing. Each working for each other, despising human life wanting total control and each representing the same thing. Stalins own brand of 'national' socialism was more successful than Hitler's. More grotesque and murderous.

the first one is with peter cushing from 1954 made by the bbc the second was made in 1956 is american made and stars american actor edmund o brien as winston, the third was made in 1984 and stars john hurt.
