no haha...its all bolt ons, you dont even need a lift, allthough for the header its preferred cus you can do the job in half the time. but all there is for the intake is you remove two bolts, and pull out the air box. then proceed to rip off the gross ass tubing, then put your reducer on your new piping with the two hose clamps on it...squeeze it in there tighten it up and slide the filter on and tighten that hose clamp...
then the header you just remove teh heat shield with two rusty bolts that it doesnt matter if you break because you wont use they again anyway, then there is 9 other bolts holding the header into place, remove those and then get under your car and unhook the 2nd piece from the cat with two bolts and drop it out from under the car. if the old gasket doesnt come off you'll need a chisel and scrape it off, then apply new gasket and header and start it up 20secs, shut off & retighten your bolts.

Obviously you've only owned a d-series. There is a reason the Integra went from a d series to a b, the b-series fucking rocks. The difference from a d16 anything to a b-series w/ vtec is about 50hp stock, that's a substantial difference. Not to mention the b-series has about a million smaller things about it that remain superior. Don't get me wrong, the d-series are fun and cheap. I've built them up myself, but no comparison please and thank you.
That's why you get an F22 out of an accord. And put it in a hatch. With a turbo. ARP headstuds and a good tune, and that $100 engine will take 14 pounds of boost, making more torque than horsepower with a great powerband through the midrange.
If that gets boring, you can put H22 heads on them, and make stupid power. An F22 with a built bottom end and a turbo install costs about the same as a stock H, and will smoke one. Wont rev as high, but it doesn't have to.
u sure know ur stuff...f22b has very low compression. no one knows there potential. their internals are super strong especially their sleeves, iron cast, best sohc head flow. man f22b is a VERY good sohc

I don't believe so, I'm unfamiliar with those models as they do not sell them in the US market, but I did some research and couldn't find anything to disprove my assumption.
But if your car has VTEC you would probably know, the engine note changes dramatically after a certain RPM (5500 for my D16Y8) and it seems as though the car gains a few bhp.

sohc vtecs go really slow compared to the dohc vtecs. trust me I own a D16Y civic :(
but the best thing to do is replace it with a B18c or B18cr as the engine mounts are similar and it goes a LOT faster

this is a D series motor... they are not racing series engines.. if anything they are the slowest of all the series.. if you really wanna check out honda performance and judge then look for B,H or K series honda engines.. type in K20a, B18C-R or H2B or H22a on youtube search..

right now im working on finding the limits on a stock d16z6 (with vitara pistons and eagle rods) with a holset hy35 with hx35 12cm exhaust housing, takes longer to spool but is more efficient at higher pressures
so far i have it tuned for 23psi making 403whp and 328ft-lbs of torque
and full boost by 4100rpm (revving to 7400rpm)

but your claiming the D series as the King or something when clearly a slightly built B, H or K series will own over a heavily build D series. To make a D series run 400whp is going to cost way more money than to have a build B, H or K series because they are already strong and just need a few upgrades. There's no such thing as building a D series for $800 and making it run 11's. Thats bullshit and you know it. Believe me I been in the game as long as anyone so dont try to pull that shit on me.

no including clutch axles and slicks
then just finding the lightest civic hatch you can and stripping it to as light as possible and a good driver

Also just because someone says k series are the shit doesnt mean they are ricers. K series is what gave hondas respect. Domestic heads now look at a hatch and think "is he running a K20?" and challenge them. Before it was like "fuck it, its just a honda that shits slow" besides a K series is not overrated its just hella expensive. We are talking k20a2 with Hondata Kpro, a few bolt ons, and a good tune. But I have to admit a slightly build H2b will shit on a k20 all day. Believe me.

LOL what fantasy world do you live in? To run 11's with a d-series motor you need a turbo/super/NOS... enough of any of those will get you there, but if your not going to replace rods and pistons with forged counterparts, your going to blow up. Meaning your spending $2000 easy for a basic turbo setup. Maybe if you gut your car, break out the glass, spend 3-4k on building the motor, you could hit 12's naturally aspirated. Good Luck

$250 for rods,rod bolts,berrings and wrist pins
and the other $150 for injectors (2 sets of dsm 450cc injectors for $50 used)
and just street tune and burn a p28
and your good for arroun 400whp and thats plenty of power to get a 1600lbs car in the 10's no problem!

I don't believe so, I'm unfamiliar with those models as they do not sell them in the US market, but I did some research and couldn't find anything to disprove my assumption.
But if your car has VTEC you would probably know, the engine note changes dramatically after a certain RPM (5500 for my D16Y8) and it seems as though the car gains a few bhp.
