  • Thats not true at A-L-L

  • ive been on my hair journey since march 2011 and i have actually seen grown but im ab 16 wks into my stretch and having trouble with transition hair.Ive tried all kinds of products for the dryness and yet nothing seems to really penetrat the shaft and add moisture.any suggestions?

  • @purfectpoetry87 Transition hair? Meaning you've had perms/relaxers and your new growth is meeting the ends? Well you can trycurl definers to match the texture of the rest of your hair. My in the long run, You just have to let it grow.

  • You can repair damaged hair without cuting the damaged hair out, Use the cheapest mayo in the store, when you apply it damp your hair then apply the mayo keep the mayo in for 10 to 20 mins and then wash out with with shampo but do not condition after doing the mayo treatment.

  • You are right. I keep the ends cut (about 1/2 inch) per month. It works and my hair is longer now. Great tip, Sylvia. Thank you:)

  • my mothers hair splits are on her shaft now -.-' i told her over 2months ago to cut the trims off but she didn't listento me ....:/

  • i take pretty good care of my hair and i like trims (in fact i need one) but i didnt know the split can ride up the hair shaft... im gonna get it cut as soon as possible

  • she said trim the damage off

  • Hi guys! I have posted some good products for damaged hair on my blog. Search for "sinem's little secrets" on google! I have tried and found out the best products for hair and skin.

  • Lol the beginning where she's pretending to have a convo with her client..teehee

BUT OK she doesn't tell you how to repair damaged hair, but that's cuz you can't! You can only get rid of it. She gives good advice

  • All this video does is explain how to prevent damage to hair... it tells you NOTHING about treating it. LAME

  • umm damaged hair is fun for people who scene hair!! okay and you cant really repair damaged hair you can only prevent it like someone already said!! =l just my opinion

  • is the lady being used to experiment wearing a weave or wig or sumfin...hiss....how is dat helpful

    the explanation is vry useless...kmt...

  • Thank you

  • While repair might not be the right word, you can vastly improve the condition of your hair with products. Yes it depends on the problem. Not everyone needs the same things. Oil's gr8 for one person, but not another. It's the same with protein. Moisture too. If I get too much moisture it makes my hair stretchy and weak. The only problem is there's no one size fits all solution. Post-reconstructor my hair usually looks better than when it was virgin hair.

  • i really want to slap this girl

  • LOL wats up with this lady rhyming?

  • oo she boring.

  • My brother’s had great results by massaging his head with argan oil and if you want to know more, go to google and search for SweetMarrakesh argan oil

  • People don't listen well..... @ 1:00 she tells how to repair it....trim it off

  • they all say the same thing do they a teleprompter or something geez

  • This girl just kinda... states the obvious... And her voice really annoys me.

  • oh cumon where is the secret kinda tip? all these...............tips i know already

  • her mug is serious!wow

  • The only reason I watch these videos is because I like the way she talks :P

  • IF ANYONE NEED HAIR TIPS JUST MESSAGE ME I CAN HELP I HAVE BEEN THROUGH THIS A COUPLE TIMES BEFORE! I straighten my hair EVERY SINGLE DAY and i know what works to undo the damage so I can keep straigtening it! When you message me, PLEASE INCLUDE HOW YOUR HAIR GOT DAMAGED! This is the only way I can figure out how to repair it! Thanks!

  • @MileyDOMOKUNpugs WERE DO I START..... my hair is extremely damged..i think. I have been relaxing it for years and as a result it is dry and brittle..breaks very quikley and grows only when i have a weave in but then i cant maintain it coz it is soo damaged..i am stuck.. i used to use olive oil...relaxer oils and conditioner but apperntly it aint no gud for the hair..please help me out..!!!

  • @MileyDOMOKUNpugs pls help me... my hair is super depressed.. it is so dry and frizzy.. i undergo a lot of hair dyes' already... and i hate my hair now.. it was super straight and beautiful before..but when i started to dye my hair.. it began to look like messy, especially my bangs.. it have a lot of split ends.. pls do help me..

  • @MsEumi CUT THEM OFF. You may not want to say goodbye to your hair, but it's the only way. STOP COLORING.

It's the only way, I'm sorry.

  • @MileyDOMOKUNpugs I've been going to a hairdresser for years to relax and trim my hair and it was beautiful, but recently I saved money and had my mom relax my hair and now it's really brittle and rough textured. She used the relaxer on my roots and the rest of my hair, which I know is what damaged my hair. How do I repair it? I'm using the same hair conditioners my stylist uses on me that once did wonders to my hair and it's still really damaged. What do I do?!

  • Go back to your hairdresser!

  • @vegas0416 - try Aussie - they have excellent repair remedies. Also try to find a mild shampoo. Look at the ingredients - if it has stuff like "Laureth sulfate" in it, it will dry you out even more. Try to buy stuff from the pharmacy rather than a supermarket. I also recommend Garnier melting mask - you can get that in a supermarket, but its awesome! But do leave it on for a while - like, 2 minutes.

  • @Snezhinka9 Well, the chick was right about one thing, and that's that no shampoo or tonic will make physically damaged hair back to normal. The proper way to dealing with damaged hair is cutting off the ends, switching to a shampoo with lots of vitamins, and cutting out things that can cause hair damage from your hair routine. This could include heat treatment, regular bleaching, over brushing, overusing chemicals, ect. This way you can prevent it as well as cure.

  • @PotatoesAreEpic - yes, what she says is all true, and correct. but its just that this is generally knowledge most people have or can get by googling, she isnt specific enough and since this is an 'expert' video she should be more detailed &give direct tips...and potatoes are definitely epic. :-)))

  • @vegas0416 Take a look at it closely. Is it breaking off? Are the ends looking like a knife split them down the middle? If so, you need a hair cut. If your hair is dry, try going a while without washing so your natural oils can redistribute in your hair again.

  • I hate to admit, but it's te truth :(

  • COME FIX MY HAIR!!! PLEASE!!!

  • I have dry hair .. and because of that .. my HAIR grows SLOWER .. how can I repair my dry hair ? :(

  • @tamtamxkurr

i've heard from a lot people that you can't really repair dry hair but i guess you could treat it more often to replenish the moisture. there are a lot of home remedies you could do for it too

=] hope that can help a little bit

  • @tanranxkurr

I think that you should use a special moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Whenever your in the shower, leave the moiusterizing conditioner in for atlease 5 minutes. ALso, purchase a leave in conditioner, this will really help add moisture. After you shower (wash and condition) apply the leavin conditioner to damp hair, and then leav in over night, then you can style the way you want to in the morning, rinse out the next day...

    Hope this helps:)

    and...Merry Christmas!!!

  • Umm i think there is a specific type of shampoo and conditioner.

  • she need to talk about moisturizing and sealing our hair too

  • Absolutely! I was a cosmetologist back in the 80's & 90's and I was taught the same thing: trim damaged ends every 4-8 weeks. BUT with deep conditioning EVERY week and a sealing conditioner (the one and only "ApHogee") every 6-8 weeks, you don't need to trim as often - which means you should see some length again. ;D

  • Im kinda scared now! I use shampoo everytime I take a shower, thats everyday, so..what does that mean? I have to stop shampooing my hair everyday what do i do when my hair gets oily and starts to get that ugly wavy bed head look cuz thats what happens! how do i truly wash my hair without damage?

  • @InvaderGwen

you co wash...which means you wash with a conditioner as you would with a shampoo..co washes remove dirt without drying out the hair

  • i have the same problem.

just shampoo only from the roots about an inch down, then condition the rest. that way your ends are getting mousterized and your roots aren't getting oily.

hope this helps, it works for me!

  • i had waist length thick healthy hair but through the years i dyed it and now its on my shoulder blades dry and i have split ends im sooo pissed off with it...

  • Don't be mad at your hair, be mad that you damaged it with chemicals. I died my hair once, and my hair was not happy at all. I learned my lesson-natural is good.

  • Actually many shampoos are damaging. A shampoo with a pH level higher than 5.5

will cause a pH imbalance and "rough-up" the cuticle layer. It will also strip much,

if not all, of the natural oils from the hair. A stripped, rough cuticle layer sets the stage for considerable

    combing and styling damage.

  • You can't repair damaged hair, only prevent it.

  • My thoughts exactly!

  • oh yes...CUT IT

  • Expert village aren't very helpful to be honest. I mean, this video just says where the damage comes from, using a "good" (which doesn't explain much) shampoo and conditioner, trimming ends. She waffles a lot and doesn't give any specific advice: how to deep condition? what products do you recommend? natural remedies?

  • @Snezhinka9 totally right, it kills.

  • @Snezhinka9 you would think with all the negative feedback on their videos, they would learn to make them better. -.- I struggle trying to get answers from them all the time... yet they still seem to fail.

  • realy a haircut i would have never gussed

  • There is nothing wrong with shampooing and condtioning your hair daily, it helps clean the scalp and promotes growth. Da,age comes from relaxers, glue in weaves and excess heat styling.

  • this is so true

  • Told us what we already know..may have been more helpful to suggest WHAT products to use. Thanks anyway.

  • wait conditioning your hair everyday is bad..

    im mixed tho

  • how to repair damaged hair- the only answer is: cut it!

  • at the start she thoguh she was a good actor talking to the lady she thinks she is ganna be a movie star now

  • who knows

  • this did not help me at alllll.

  • Not once did she mention to stop using a relaxer. This is what breaks your hair off! She did not want to mention that because the relaxer is the cash cow at the salon. No relaxer, no income for the stylist.

  • lol ...yea that is funny, she could have said take a break from relaxer, dyes, perms, heat....

  • I know, right?

  • you dnt get fried hair by shampooin nd conditionin and brushin every day. thats normal. well thx for da advice

  • Just going to throw this in.. it depends on the type of shampoo and conditioner you're using. If you're using a highly alkaline shampoo you're going to get a lot of damage, brushing after that damage can cause split ends, or if your hair is very highly porous due to chemical treatments such as perms, relaxers, color, brushing too often or too hard can indeed cause breakage in the hair shaft.. If you're using a very good salon quality product you won't have as many problems.

  • no need for shampoo

  • shampoo's bad

  • im in the same situation as eyemax55. except tht i rebonded it 2 yrs ago and my tendrils are frizzy but the longer hairs all straight.. its fine.. so...

  • why are you white!!

  • nyc reply...lol

  • good answer.

  • Comment removed

  • hey..when i was 12..my hair was straight...but then i cut my hair really short...but when it grew back...its curly.can anyone tell me why this happen??...and now my hair is like hell...its very dull, brittle, frizzy and out of control...can u tell me if i can get my old hair back??..and how...it was not worth it cutting my hair back then..i really want my old hair back...it was way shiny and smooth...now its very damage...

  • my hair always gets tangled when its damaged (not all of it)

  • this would've been more effective using before & after pics after a trim and just the beautician talking through the "process."

  • my hair is really damaged because of Dr Miracle i have lost all my hair in the back when i go 2 skool everday i have to wear it down soo noone can c and my hair is short soo its very hair to do it

  • how long is the hair in the back? shoulder lenght? neck lenght or armpit? your hair might not be growing b/c it is rubbing agaist your clothes. also you should wear it up in a protective style. also, not to be rude, you should go see the other videos with girls with long hair that tell you their regimine. the 2 women here dont exactly have hair thats worth a prize. try macheriehair or goldenchild789.

  • Question, Did you do your own perm, It could be that you did not rinse the relaxer out completely or you shampoo'd the hair without making sure all the relaxer was out. This will cause your hair to break and or fall out.

  • my hair is really damaged though u cant really tell when it's staighten unless it humid outside which makes it frizzy

  • I have the same problem. i have to straighten my hair oitherwise it will go frizzy. so anoying

  • maybe you should wrap it. if you wrap, your hair will be silky for the whole day and u wont have to straighten everyday. just once a week.

  • same sameee :( it SUX

  • I staighten my hair nightly then when i wake up I staighten it :L

  • why would you straighten it at night if you'll just do it again in the morning?

are you scared someone will see that your hair is not straight while your asleep?

    lmao.

  • Nooo

I Do It At Night But Im A Really Weird Sleper And It Gets Kinks In So I Go Over It But I Dont Do A Proper Straighten.

  • you should really just do it once a day. in the morning.

unless you want to fry your hair because thats really not good for it!

  • Comment removed

  • okay. im not being stupid. im being smart.

dont come on a video about hair damage and tell everyone you straighten your hair at night then when you wake up unless you are talking about how damaged your hair is.

  • my hairs dry and brittle frm flatironing everyday with no heat protectant.

  • Well you know what the problem is, sort it out ! lol.

  • HOE OFTEN SHOULD YOU TRIM?

  • 8-10 weeks

  • Erm, What happens if all of you bleach your hair, then tease it, curl it, and straighten it in a run of two days? I'm scared it might fall out.

  • Errmm.

I did that and I have hair thats right by my scalp on one side and longer than shoulder length on the other.

I bleached it and straightened it and now I wish I didn't even cut it.

Go ahead if you want to.

I disregarded everyone's comments anyway XDD

    Everyone learns from mistakes :)

  • great tips! thanx

  • I love your hair tips!!! Thanks soooooo much.....
