I would not mind having the shuffle above surface, but what I did not like in this video is that the dance is so SIMPLE yet it is commercialised. It looks so simple anyone can THINK they can do it even though can't due to no knowledge of the dance. If I wanted to see something that is commercial worthy, I would want to see something that I definetley know I can't do; eg. B-boying, contemporary, etc.

I don't really mind if you practice the shuffle to be on a commercialised output for 1 year or so. The Melbourne Shuffle ITSELF is a simple dance itself throughout all its history disregarding how long you have been practicing. What would only count is the experience you have in the dance in itself. Now I know xero has been shuffling for quite a while now and there would be no need for instructors for the dance unless the others did not have the same experience and only had 1 week experience.

And I have been shuffling for 1 year and 2 months and have had had an idea of the possibilities in shuffling. Yes this video may have not included the other possibilities of the Melbourne Shuffle on this show, but still the Melbourne Shuffle is still such a simple dance that in my own opinion it shouldnt be commercialised. The shuffle scene might be different from where you're from, but in my own personal opinion as an Australian Shuffler, I don't think the shuffle should be commercialised.
