Now the 2010 is DEEP into the 9's.... faster than the Venom 1000 viper (and a lot less money too, plus you don't have to wait almost 2 years for Hennessey to do his thing, that requires the car to go back 4 or 5 times due to poor part fittings).
sweet, but price is too steep, you can own a lot of these ricers on the road, straight line is what them ricers do anyways. People with imports that actually race courses are not ricers in my opinion, its the kids on the road with 'value' imports that slap on parts and race in a straight line on public streets I call ricers.
@vidguy73 saw two of these at the mile high nationals this year fast as heck. but they both ended up breaking down one race after the other. I like the drag pack challenger better.
its not all about power, its about how u put it down and IF you can put it all down. 700lbs less makes this stang around 3000lbs with 420hp....if u can plant it all, those times are very much possible. that's like putting 400hp in a Rx8...you would be surprised by what it could do

drag-tuned suspension and drag radials of that size and width, will make a huge difference. The GT500 is only as slow as it is b/c with the suspension it has, it has absolutely no chance of putting all its power to the ground. the Cobra Jet on the other hand, caught traction immediately and put every bit of its power to use, thus the 11.5 ET. Its probably faster than that with a better driver. Suspension and tires are critical in drag

4th gear is not the end of this mustangs transmission..
130mph near the end of 4th gear doesnt seem that short.
i figured it out in bed last night...
they must be calmly be saying 425rwhp, lol.
no way that engine has a lot less than 500bhp, and if im not mistaken that sure looks like the intake setup on the 540hp 2010' or KR.
the tires, suspension, weight and transmission can only explain so much about the trap speed.

@vidguy73 saw two of these at the mile high nationals this year fast as heck. but they both ended up breaking down one race after the other. I like the drag pack challenger better.

they are lying about the detune to 425hp. 130mph.trap speed the car would have to be 2500lbs.

thats what im saying evo8734........ doesnt add up.... at all really.
i have no doubt the suspension and weight reduce had a major impact on the ET, not to mention the tires....
but that doesnt make up for the -120hp difference adding 10+mph to the trap speed...
i see where the 11.5 came from.... but i dont see where the 130mph came from.
that launch sure didnt look like 425hp, lol....

It does have short gearing, but it also has 6 gears.

Suspension and tires would explain how a 425hp mustang beat a 540hp mustang down the strip, 11.5 vs. 12.5ish...
but not how it out trapped it to that extent while being so far down on power.
"425" oem hp does not equal 130mph trap,
no matter what tires and suspension you have on your mustang.
"425" can equal a sub11.5 with the traction that stang had off the line, but in that car 425hp can not equal 130mph.

its not all about power, its about how u put it down and IF you can put it all down. 700lbs less makes this stang around 3000lbs with 420hp....if u can plant it all, those times are very much possible. that's like putting 400hp in a Rx8...you would be surprised by what it could do

with 120hp less; i could see the weight, suspension, tires taking away massive ET, but i dont see where 10mph came from with 120 less hp...

dont be so sure of urself. that is about right, actually.
drag-tuned suspension and drag radials of that size and width, will make a huge difference. The GT500 is only as slow as it is b/c with the suspension it has, it has absolutely no chance of putting all its power to the ground. the Cobra Jet on the other hand, caught traction immediately and put every bit of its power to use, thus the 11.5 ET. Its probably faster than that with a better driver. Suspension and tires are critical in drag
