The tent is kinda neat, but what is the weight for use? I don't mean just the tent, that's sort of like weighing a normal tent without the poles. I mean the weight with the pump and everything else needed to put it up.
I've had one of these for about a year. They are fantastic tents. The airbeams are much stronger than aluminum poles, without weighing more. That's the advantage. Handles snow very well too. It wasn't designed for winter camping, but I use it as a 4 season tent with no issues. A sub 5 lb tent that can take a crap kicking in a storm. What's not to like?
For camping, fine. But for long distance hiking, it's all about the weight.. I'm much happier carrying my 2 pounder that still fits 2 people.. If the weather is that bad, no one will have a good night..
Sorry buds, but different needs for different locales. There is no 2 pounder on the market that will handle the snow loads or weather I'm talking about. Sure a bad storm may keep you up, but at least I want to keep my kit dry. Who said I wasn't doing long distances? There are certainly times to go UL, but sometimes a few extra pounds are worth carrying (for some of us).
What's that white thing in the background just to the left of the tent? Right towards the end of the clip it's moves some... Oh and the tent is nice :o)
welll... europeans have by far the largest claim of ufo sightings... in some euro countries, half the population claims to have seen a ufo... nemo, new tech, ufo... put it together.

It really is that strong, which can be experienced the first time you are in really bad windy weather.
