  • Back too the roots, you are you and you are good how you are, back to your nature. This is my commendation. The worst example of someone who don't like himselfe was Mikel Jackson. With every operation he lost more of his natural beauty.

  • @JoachimMink For starters, learn how to spell, let the man rest in peace and knock off the nonsense. You were not in his head to know what lead him to that. One does not have to alter their features to deny their race there are lots of Hollywood black people denying their race; who have not had any work done... smdh.

  • VERY BEAUTIFUL! I know that your husband is loving the new look!

  • I love when our sistah's sport natural hair! SEXY! :-)

  • hablas español, soy de madrid españa haber si grabo algo en el saxo tenor y te lo dedico un saludo y fantatico.

  • I think the natural look is the best look. Your a pretty woman and your sax is so very amazing. So from here on out may all your days be good hair days!

iplan to transition for no less than a year if not more.. how abt u?

  • If I may suggest (this is my last post, promise! lol) LonghairdontcareLLC transitioned for 2 years and has helpful videos on this. To save you time (I know, it can be frustrating searching through tons of YT videos) here's one of her vids which summarises her regimen:

watch?v=48CHdJTMROQ This includes a link to another video where she shares transitioning tips for transitioning.

    Hope this helps xx

  • Some things I've learnt:

Weekly washing & deep conditioning, both while my hair is in twists, and gentle detangling with a very SLIPPERY conditioner helps reduce breakage. Learning EASY hair styles that I can do depending on the amount of time I have, makes life quite simple. From your pictures you're already familiar with bantu knot outs. Keep doing these, or twist- and braid-outs. Buns & updos are perfect for when you're in a hurry or when a twist/braid out doesn't turn out right.

    Hth!

  • You're transitioning?! YAY!!!! I keep finding out better and better things about you since I first watched your videos yesterday. Haha. First I watch your amazing cover of Love on Top... then I watch you playing the sax. Now you're going natural. <3

I've been natural for 4 years. One of the best decisions I eve made. I love that more and more girls are embracing their beautiful kinky hair textures.

  • Very nice!

  • Well good luck and God bless for this time around!

I have always had natural hair so I am not completely clued up on the condition of transitioning hair, as you know there are THOUSANDS of youtube videos to help with transitioning styles and products, what I would suggest is always detangle your hair by combing a section and then twisting it whilst your wash out conditioner is still in your hair! once all your hair is detangled and twisted wash out the conditioner!

from there do what you will!

  • yay! The best thing you will ever do to your hair. If you are a fan of long hair, dont Big chop, just were braids or weaves or something Until your hair grows out. Deep condition as much as possible. Stay on the journey, no matter how hard it gets! So happy for you girl!

  • how were you able to do the heatless curls like the picture at the 9:00 mark. i love how it makes you look as if you are naturally curly and have never relaxed your hair ^_^. I myself was thinking about transitioning as well.

  • I am also going through the transition from relaxed to natural and my hairdresser, thankfully, takes me through the steps. The most important thing is to condition your hair so your relaxed ends do not break of the natural roots.

Other than that, keeping your hair nourished is also important. Oil sheens and shine sprays that come in clear bottles are the most helpful because they contain less alcohol. Good luck with your transition!

  • keep the relaxer.... dont become another nappy headed black trick... You look fine the way you are.. Keep blowin dat Sax

  • good luck with the transition... your speaking is very relaxing..i'm a guy and i listened to you talk about hair. lol

  • first and foremost you are hella talented. I too just started my transition because I don't know that I've ever seen my natural hair since my mom started hot combing my hair out of the womb LOL. I didn't have to do a BC because even with relaxers I've always worn my hair short. So here's to you. Congratulations. I also am not saying I'll never relax my hair again. I'm just on a new adventurous journey and we'll see where we end up. So good luck.
