I was introduced to Pontes through the use of Cancao do mar in "Primal Fear" (1996, with Richard Gere); I instantly became haunted by the song and her voice and got hold of the movie's soundtrack just to be able to hear her sing.

I'm only half surprised she's able to deliver absolutely as strong a performance live as she does on the recorded version. She's a REAL singer, as opposed to 90% of pop divas today. She's amazing.
